Oil Pump problems of the 2006 Ford F-350

Two problems related to oil pump have been reported for the 2006 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Oil Pump problem

Failure Date: 06/22/2013

The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-350. The contact stated while applying the brakes to attempt a turn, the vehicle stalled. In addition, the power steering assist failed. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who advised that the oil pump was defective and the oil pressure was abnormally low. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 49,600.

2 Oil Pump problem

Failure Date: 07/05/2011

The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-350. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled while driving 70 mph. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the oil pump failed. The dealer recommended having the oil pump, injectors and fuel injection module replaced. The vehicle was repaired. After some time while driving at an unknown speed, the contact heard a loud explosion and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was not further repaired. The failure mileage was 63,000 and the current mileage was 117,000.
