Brake Disc Caliper problems of the 2012 Ford F-350

Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Ford F-350. The contact indicated that while attempting the stop the vehicle the brakes suddenly malfunctioned making the vehicle very difficult to stop. The contact indicated that while removing the brake pads it was discovered that the brake pistons in the caliper had shattered. Upon further inspection the contact discovered that the failure was caused by 3 rivets on the brake pads that had made contact with the pistons. The contact indicated that the brake pads were original parts install on the vehicle. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 66,000. Jft.
