1 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 12/20/2023

When driving my 2013 Ford 350 crew cab 4x4 6. 7 diesel with only 68,000 miles stock with original equiptment , I was driving to my chemo appt as I have stage 4 cancer and a mom of a young son the truck started a shake and the sterring wheel violently came away from my hands. It got so bad I almost went into oncoming traffic putting my sons life and myself and others in danger, I have brought this truck to local shop and they figure it out. This has gone several times. Its my primary truck. Im a widow and need a safe truck. I cant bring to dealer as they charge $150 hr. I dont have a extended warranty on the truck, no codes popped up on dash, Ford has many complaints with there trucks including the f 150 which I owned and it lived at the shop . Over $10,000 out of pocket and problem never fixed always can find issue. Something needs to be done before someone gets killed in a accident .

2 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/09/2023

We had the death wobbles going 65 on cruise control everytime we hit a bump on the freeway. I lose control until I slow down to 35 mph.

3 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 10/22/2022

We have experienced “death wobble” several times with the Ford. Every time we get all the necessary parts replaced and they’ll last about 6 months and the death wobble will return. It’s highly dangerous as you lose control of the vehicle and it can walk into another lane with traffic. You are unable to steer when this is happening. The only way to regain control is to slow the vehicle down to around 35/40 mph. It’s a danger to us and to others on the road.

4 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/06/2021

While driving at highway speeds and hitting a slight bump or bridge joint the steering wheel started shaking so violently I had to abruptly come to a stop 4 times to avoid colliding with other traffic on our holiday trip. The steering damper has already been upgraded as well as tie rod ends, drag link and shocks. These trucks and this problem has to be addressed before one or more of us get killed by not being able to control it especially during high traffic times such as this past weekend. This weekend the problem was the worst of several incidents with this issue. Working for a Ford dealer the problem has been on going, despite making many repairs myself to save money on installation.

5 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/21/2021

The egr system has caused the truck's transmission to go into idle mode which is 2 miles an hour. Safely it can not be driven to be serviced if you are on the road. This system has reset its self on 3 occasions, once when I was taking the truck into a Ford service dealership. They stated they could not do anything without the trouble senor on. There is one recall on the nox sensor and 3 other service alerts for the egr on the trucks. This is very dangerous and should be put in your system.

6 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2013

1. Severe engine rattle and then severe shaking of entire truck due to exhaust regenerative system. Truck becomes hard to control on highway and presents danger in heavy traffic situations. First incident was taken in for repair; second incident occurred approximately seven months later and was told by dealer service representative that in order for the exhaust regenerative system to work properly we had to watch for the "cleaning exhaust system" message to appear (which only flashes on for approximately 5 seconds and requires eyes off the road) and then drive an additional 20 miles at speeds above 50 mph for the regeneration system to complete. Unacceptable when living in an area where speed limit is 45 mph and there is only a distance less than 10 miles from one end of our town to the other. In other words, if we are pulling into our driveway and the message comes on, we are to not stop the truck and drive it for an additional 20 miles at 50 or more mph to complete the cycle. Video of one incident of the severe shaking is available if needed. 2. Hard washboard bouncing effect when operating vehicle at 45 mph. Went to the personal expense of ruling out tire issue. Cannot maintain vehicle at 45 mph.
