1 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2024

Put it into drive and it went in reverse at least twice now (I'm assuming that's the transmission control modular. . . ?) luckily we didn't hit anyone and it's happened at home or a drive thru. . . . No. . . Not yet. . . . It says our truck isn't part of the recall the year had (had no idea there even was a recall for it until it had the issue, and trying to figure it out and someone told us about it the same day the issue occured). . . . . There were no other indicators of prior issues or warnings to it happening. . . .

5 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 09/28/2019

On my 2115 Ford f 350 powerstroke diesel the check engine light came on and it DE rated the power. I read the cel code and its pb20a which is a redactant heater performance failure. This problem is covered under warranty for all models 2011-14, f250-f 550 and 2015 f450, f550 only. Ford isn't covering the f250 of f350 in the 2015 years. My truck meets the date and manufacturing plant criteria and it is no drivable because of this emissions control part failure. The redacdant heater keeps the diesel exhaust fluid from freezing and renders the vehicle un drivable when it falis.

11 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/25/2016

At 40 to 50 mph the truck can experience loss of power and severe "shuddering" we have 2 2015's that we purchased last September and both are experience the same issue it's very sporadic seems to happen a few times a week. I'm concerned for the safety of my company as we can be pulling trailers and can not have this type of behavior when on busy roads. Ford knows there is an issue as stated in TSB 16-0041, but they will not attempt to correct it unless their techs see it happen. . I have already had it into the shop and they couldn't see the problem. If you look on the internet it appears to be a problem on quite a few 2015's. . Read more...

12 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 12/24/2015

During regeneration of the diesel particulate filter the truck loses power and operates roughly. This last occurred as I was merging into traffic on the highway during slick road conditions. This could have very easily resulted in loss of traction and/or collision as I was unable to accelerate to speed.

13 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2015

Episodes of violent shaking and poor engine performance during regenaration. This has been a on going issue. Ford claims it is cause by the computer and a reprogram will be out in March 2016. I feel the truck is unsafe to drive specially on icy roads.
