1 Driveshaft problem

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving 80 mph, the driveshaft detached. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 22v880000 (power train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

2 Driveshaft problem

Failure Date: 05/30/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. While accelerating from a stop, the middle and rear sections of the vehicle vibrated severely. The contact coasted the vehicle over to the side of the road and confirmed that the driveshaft was tight and secured. The vehicle was taken to crystal Ford (located at 2440 NW, us-19, crystal river, FL 34428, (352) 795-7371) where it was diagnosed that the driveshaft was too long, the carrier bearing needed to be lowered, and the rear end needed to be shimmied done for the differential pinion angle. The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair fees. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: cas-21793867. The failure mileage was 18,443.
