Windshield problems of the 2017 Ford F-350

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350 sd. The contact stated that while walking to the vehicle, he noticed that the sliding rear window glass had detached and fell into the rear seat in the cabin of the vehicle. The contact stated that the glue adhesive, polyurethane seal, and two-sided tape had deteriorated. There were no reported injuries. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that there was no warranty coverage on the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to a glass company but was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the repairs were not covered under a recall and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 164,000.
