The front passenger seat buckle releases unexpectedly. When I began to research how to replace this component, I discovered that there was an NHTSA recall#01v227001, Ford recall# 01s21 issued for the same hazard. My truck was assembled in 2001 at the kentucky plant but when I contacted Ford they explained that my truck was not included in the recall. Since this is such a safety hazard, I am reporting to you so that you may consider expanding the scope of this recall. Also, what are the identifying marks to determine if I do indeed have the faulty components in my vehicle? the buckles are trw 33012760, the drivers side is embossed with #343013 and the passenger side is embossed #321013.

The passenger's front seat belt has been jammed for approximately 6 months and today the driver's side seat belt jammed and no longer works. Our family owns four similar model Ford super duties and this problem has occurred on another truck also. This is a serious safely issue and appears to be a vehicle defect. We have notified Ford motor company and they said no recall exists so were not willing to assist in correcting the issue. The needs to be addressed immediately.

16 Seat Belt problem of the 2001 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 01/01/2009

Driver seat belt. Seat belt inadvertently comes loose. May stay fasten for five minutes or sometimes and hour then with no pressure applied to belt it just snaps loose. Ford had a recall but they claim my date of manufacture is not covered. I have filed a complaint with Ford and carried my vehicle to the dealer but they offered no resolution except seat belts wear out. I don't think they should wear out after 38,000 miles.

17 Seat Belt problem of the 2007 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 06/25/2008

I have a 2007 Ford f350 truck w/ the supercab configuration. We took delivery in October 2007. We have a grandchild that sits in a car seat and has to be located in the rear seat. The truck does not have the latch system for securing the car seat so we need to use the lap/shoulder belt. My particular truck has the automatic locking mode on the two outboard belts but not the middle belt. I fell this is an unsafe condition because the middle position gives the child protection from side impacts and also allows the passenger easier access to the child.

22 Seat Belt problem of the 2002 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 06/09/2003

We have a 2000 Ford f350 vehicle that was recently in an accident and the body shop found that it had prior damage. It is iowa law that the dealer must ask the previous owner about any prior damage and when we purchased this truck from mid states Ford in des moines/waukee, iowa they did not notify us of any prior damage. The prior damage make the vehicle unsafe to drive as it has the wrong cab on it and the wrong cab has been welded on, as you can see the welding marks underneath the truck, and also the seat belts have been bolted in and not drilled in, but their are many drilled holes in the bottom of the truck cab. The body shop feels that the truck is unsafe to drive as you never know when the welding could collapse. We have pictures of the previous damage along with two witnesses. We have notified mid states Ford and also Ford motor company with a long list of things that have happen since June 9th, 2003. Mid states Ford has not contacted us since dennis contacted then on July 8th and they said they would get right back to us. Ford motor company has not called us back since our last note to them last week. We just want some answers before something else happens.
