Three problems related to front suspension stabilizer bar have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-550. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer has been having problems replacing stabilizer bar. Stabilizer bar has broken at least 5-6 times. Ford was aware of problem, but would not assist at this time. Only remedy they seemed to have was to to replace bar.
Stabilizer bar has broken so many times that they purchased them by handfuls to keep them handy. Manufacturer knows there's an engineering problem, and isn't helping.
Stabilizer bar has broken 8 times . Ford has mentioned there was an engineering problem, but was not offering to do anything for consumer. They were just replacing part. They had not tried to find a permenant solution. The drive shaft makes noise while driving.
