One problem related to transfer case has been reported for the 1999 Ford F-550. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving down the road at aproximately 25mph 4-wheel drive ( transfer case) failed. Driver pulled over to the shoulder while leaning over the steering wheel and airbag deployed. Had a new transmission clutch put within the last 3 months.
