Ford and Ford dealearship is not willing to provide or service 15b22 recalls.
Overheating issue still occurred on cylinder 2, previous recall did not assist in repairing the problem due to poor cooling design from factory. Refer to recall 17s09 (17v209000) from April 21, 2017.
The ignition is out on the car. And I’ve heard it’s common with Ford Fiesta.
The back passenger back door had problems wouldn’t close rt now can’t open. In may it felt like it wasn’t getting power, engine light said turn off car for 10 minutes, while stuck in traffic, so I had it towed to upland Ford dealers, they charged me $209. 99 just to look at it! then after inspecting it they wanted almost $4,000. Which I can’t afford. They said it was the clutch assembly part. The car also has some electrical problems like the car stopped showing the millage last was a round 101. The phone not connecting & the charger plug not working either.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer for a transmission diagnostic requested by the manufacture, however, the contact stated they felt the dealer did not do the diagnostic because they only identified general maintenance issues unrelated to the transmission. However, the contact stated the dealer informed them the lower dog bone mount was tearing from the engine torque restrictor. The contact also stated the vehicle was still making a rubbing noise and the rpm sensor continued to fluctuate when driving as well as slowing down upon accelerated and driving. Also, the contact stated the vehicle drifted back when on a incline. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,465.

The engine overheating warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 17v209000 (engine and engine cooling) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 116,500.

My car just died on me. No warning or anything. Took the dealership 2 and half weeks to fix my car. They came to the conclusion that it was my trans harness cable. Cost $820. 00 to fix.
My vehicle was serviced by elk grove Ford service dept only 250 miles ago and the vehicle is back in for more service. Time before did the same thing said the problem was this and when they repaired they called and said this is now wrong, I keep asking why no answer. Now the vehicle had to be taken in and I believe because I have put in complaints before that they are f with me and messing with me I told them elk grove Ford randy bapatista that the engine light came on and the wrench light on the engine came on, they called me and told me around March 30th that it needed this and that, they came back now and said the power train control moduel is needed and they cant find any part for it I found a part the advisor said the parts person looked half a day I dont believe them as see that the pcm can maybe reset they have not said to me if they tried reseting the pcm and I would like the part number. I feel I am being set up for more charges as if they would have check the wrench lamp I would not have two charges, they keep repairing items that I believe did not need to be replacement as the plugs were working find.
2014 Ford Fiesta st engine failure due to known issue with engine block design. I had an extended warranty on the vehicle that was purchased with the vehicle from key Chevrolet in middletown. After experiencing a piston flutter, I took the vehicle to them under the warranty for repair, however, they could not locate the problem and recommended that I visit a Ford dealer. (9/2/22) prior to the failure I attempted to have a recall repair performed with multiple Ford dealerships throughout the state (tasca, monaco, gengras, dowling) and was told that they cannot currently get the parts to perform the repair. (Sep 2022) I contacted a recall rep after the failure and I was told it would be 4-6 weeks before a dealer could even look at it and that I could have a private mechanic (I chose to take it to firestone in middletown) repair and apply for reimbursement through the recall. I chose that route, however, after $1500 in work, firestone said that the head was warped too badly & the piston walls were pitted and the engine couldn't be repaired, it needed to be replaced. After contacting both a rep at the Ford recall center & the service department at monaco Ford - I was told that towing the vehicle in a mid-repair state to the dealership was acceptable. Firestone did ask if they needed to put the engine back together, and I specifically called and asked, now this is the reason they are denying the claim. Ford has issued recalls for this issue, but refuses to correct the issue with my vehicle because it arrived in a mid-repair state - please see attached emails with executive customer service.
As I'm driving the car will stop if I get it to go again it won't pick up speed, it will rev up but not go, I was told that it has all the original parts that was until I had someone look at it for the problem stated since then it has new spark plugs new front brakes, break's in back have been rotated new tires, I'm still paying a car note on this car I've had to pay towing fees and still the problem persist I'm scared to put my boys in this car but it's our only form of transportation the dealer that sold me this car is horrible and Ford was of no help, still trying to find the main issue.
Driving in the highway the car exceeded 60mph and it overheated. When I took it to the mechanic they said that the the head gasket was cracked and leaking fumed into the coolant. I have had trouble with overheating and fixed it with a thermostat replacement and fixing leak of coolant. Mechanic report: “ vel 1 testing scope and scan we pulled codes p1299-00 "cylinder head over temperature protection active" and p2557-00 "engine coolant level sensor switch circuit range/performance" data pids and freeze frames were reviewed we had only 1 freeze frame and that was for code p1299 it set at engine rpm of 2378, vehicle speed was 64 mph, time since start was 317 seconds, ect186 degrees, iat 71 degrees ambient temp was 64 degrees, distance since codes cleared was 5018 miles. Cooling system visual inspection was performed we found the coolant bottle full. We tried to pull spark plugs to do leak down test and found three of the plugs are seized and not coming out. We put the sample hose from gas analyzer in expansion tank and hydrocarbons went to 64 ppm instantly, revealing combustion gasses being pushed in the cooling system. ”. When looking for recalls for my cars make and model and a recall was made with the exact same thing that happened to my car, but my car was no added to the recall number. Recall #17v209000.

While driving the engine started to surge, misfire and then for no apparently reason the engine shut-off and would not restart. After about 15-20 minutes it fired back up and ran momentarily and then died again . Had vehicle towed to dealership, but they claim they can not duplicate the same problem. Do not feel safe driving the car anymore, unless they can resolve this problem. A safety hazard and should be looked into further by the Ford motor CO.

Need a new block head.
Ive had this vehicle for 10 months. Lately I'll be sitting at a stoplight or drive through and the light that says it's overheating comes on and if I don't turn it off it will shut off itself. The fluids are all full. Also, the transmission has been giving me trouble for a few months and it's getting worse. I'll press the gas slowly and the car jumps. I have 4 more years to pay on this car! I'm very disappointed on this car's performance.
Automatic transmissions. Clutch shudder slow acceleration Ford dealership in eldorado serviced it but the problem still exist.
Vehicle caught on fire underneath engine area, unsure why as of now but do have fire report. Bought vehicle Saturday and by Monday it was on fire. Oil was spilling out of bottom.
Was driving on highway about 40-50 mph, engine temperature gauge activates, vehicle pulled over to auto shop. Mechanic mentioned same issue with same model and year Ford Fiestas having same issue of overheating causing damage to engine pistons. Recall covered model st not this model of se for same issue on same engine.
Tcm it has a slow acceleration it takes longer than normal for it to pick up speed and the cayatic converter.
Car has been jumping since I got it in 2016, the place I got it from said it was normal and now the engine light and transmission light is on.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving 35 mph, the engine overheated and the contact pulled over safely. The contact waited for the vehicle to cool down before driving. Ford is saying that they have the parts to cover this recall, but they are on backorder and hard to get, and the dealers do not receive adequate parts to do the job, nor are they getting the proper instructions or training to do the job. My car has been in for 25 days, on a job that is supposed to take 5 hours, and there is no word on when or if it will ever be completed.
I was driving and my door flew open. I've owned the car 4 years. I've had 2 transmission clutches replaced, 2 sync systems replaced, there have been other parts but I don't have that info at the moment. There have been 8-9 parts in total. Some of the recalls I have researched were before I was sold the car. I have contacted Ford motor company and was told if I didn't like it, don't buy another Ford. I just had the latest transmission clutch and sync replaced a few months ago and asked about any current recalls and was told none at the moment. I had my warning light sensor checked last month because it came on while I was driving. I was told nothing was found and they reset the light. It came back on. Still nothing found. I have contacted them repeatedly only to receive no help. These cars should've never been sold like this much less allowed to remain on the road!.
Rattle in transmission when excellerating from 10-30 miles an hour. Have had it in shop and they tell me its in the transmission and that the car has a lot of plastic parts that may cause the rattle, but no fix? they could not tell me if this was dangerous or not?? sometimes it is very loud. City street driving, some freeway, and turning. Ck'd for recalls, found none. This is on going, everyday.
Awhile back my car ran hot. I went to the store and bought some coolant to put in it and it was fine. Later on down the road maybe 3 months ago I noticed that my car ran hot and I thought that it was due to the a. C. Running so from that point on I never ran the air. So appropriately 3 weeks ago my husband went to the hospital and when he got the car valet had the air running and from that day it continued to run hot. I allowed it to cool, added coolant and it didn't help. My car proceeded not to crank. I got it towed to a mechanic and he said that I had blown a head gasket. From there I towed it to a local Ford dealership where they did a full diagnostic and they proceeded to tell me that I've blown and head gasket and that the cylinder walls are damaged as well and they recommend me replacing the engine which would cost roughly $8000.
The car shutters when you hit the gas and it sometimes acts as if it doesn't have any power. I have taken it back to Ford and they keep reset the transmission control module but then it goes right back to shuttering and not picking up speed again.
Purchased car in June 2014 and in September 2014 I began seeing the transmission module recall every time I did a vehicle health report took it in every time the report came back, every time the Ford place I bought it said they could do nonthing to help in early March the transmission completely quit and I had to have it towed only to have the Ford place tell me that I had to replace the battery. The car was barely 1 1/2 years old and so I did and they said that I could keep bringing the car back but Ford would not let the fix the module due to whatever. They did extend the transmission warranty from 36k to 60 k which leads me to this point I have had the car back at the dealer at least 3 more times each time I have to leave the car and it never gets fixed the milage is at 59 k now and I took it to a different dealer in another town today and they said it was fixed and I came back to work and did another vehicle health report and it is still showing as a factory recall I will upload the report to you. Also so the car has had to have a new fan put on it 2 different times for overheating I cant afford to have all this work done this car has caused me more pain than I can deal with. I have tried to trade the car and am upside down I have only this vehicle and must work and have never had such horrible luck with a new car this car is the most I have ever spent almost $17000. It is not right for this to be happening. When the car broke down and the transmission would do nothing I was stranded on the highway, I have complain with Ford and the dealer since I bought this car and nothing ever gets done.
Engine light came on in the middle of traffic on span leading to the gw bridge-message stated transmission hot, turn off vehicle for 6 minutes. Second message was "stop or speed-up" I had to navigate the car to the shoulder in rush hour and turn the car off. I called the dealer since it had been serviced a little over a week ago. They were suppose to address the recall items and reported transmission problem of excessive vibration of the transmission. Very dangerous!!!!!.
This 2014 Ford Fiesta vehicle has some major transmission issues: slipping, clunking, chugging, jerking, shuttering, and rattling when doing something as simple as pressing the gas pedal to accelerate when a traffic light turns green. This issue also occurs when I begin to come to a complete stop. I've only had the car for about five months and the issues have occurred throughout that time period. I have taken this vehicle to a Ford repair shop. The mechanic completed a reprogramming of some type. He informed me that the reprogramming typically resolves the issues that this vehicle is having; but the issues still remain, in fact, it's gotten worse. The hesitation of this vehicle to accelerate leaves me feeling unsafe. Motorists in passing vehicles are zooming by me as I am attempting to get this car to go. In addition, when I firmly press the gas petal, the car hesitates then begins to accelerate at a rapid speed. These issues occur while I am driving on the interstates, highways, streets, dirt roads, etc. It also does not matter if I am making a turn, shifting in drive or in reverse. . . The issues remain the same. Ford needs to be held accountable for these issues. It is terrible that they would not be concerned about the safety of their consumers. These safety issues were not mentioned on the carfax report. If they had been then I would not have purchased this vehicle.
I was trying to merge on to the highway after stopping at a gas station. The car was unable to shift gears and speed up. It was moderately to severely shaking and shuddering. Because the car was unable to speed up in time I was forced off the road by the on coming traffic onto the the shoulder/grass area, with the other car needing to drive around me. This has been an issue since we purchased the car. The clutch was changed in October 2014 as per dealer, but in April 2015 same issues began developing. This has been the 3rd near accident with this car not properly accelerating on to the highway due to the shifting issue and causing a near accident. Outside these incidents, the car is generally difficult to control at low speeds as its acceleration and shifting ability continuously changes after a complete stop at a light or stop sign. It's quite challenging to explain the difficulty of driving this car because I've never had a car with such a poor consistency during acceleration. Some moments it will moderately jerk forward with a slight touch of the pedal (alarming especially during stop and go traffic), another moment you need to press the gas pedal all the way down to accelerate slowly on a flat/even surface and other times it moderately-severely shakes and shudders as the car tries to climb a minimal hill/elevation (all these events happen during the same 10-15 minute drive). The car drives "typically/normally" approximately 30-35% of the time, mostly after accelerating to over 20-25 miles per hour. I am highly concerned for the safety of my family when driving in this vehicle.
When putting the car into reverse it would grind and kick it into netural, shifting to 2nd to 3rd the stick shift woild make me go to 5th instead then go back to 3rd. Jerking when turning at an intersection making it difficult to make a safe turn.
None of the recalls were ever done to my vehicle. Mailing problems didn’t receive notification in mail. Door handle fell off and window handles coming off. Tag light glitching and in car press light doing the same. Crack plastic parts of car cracked years ago. Strange engine leak. Door panels coming off and panel around gear broke a year after I got the car. I sent complaint two years ago. I have not heard from anyone.
My vehicle has been shuddering for years and until even the last day they explained that it was normal for that type of vehicle to react with the shudderings before taking off. The check engine lite keeps coming on and after driving for about a minute car does not reverse at all until cars shut off. Car right now is not being driven because its been a safety hazard for some time now. This is my only way of transportation. I now have been renting cars while I still pay off this car till this day. The Ford dealership has been lying to me. I hooked up the computer and got a low clutch dual control system error. I got the part changed out and car continues to have check engine lite. I use this vehicle to pick up my daughter every month. For years driving this vehicle never realized how Ford has put me and my daughter in danger by having these faulty vehicles with messed up transmission that didn't belong in these types of vehicle. I took the vehicle to get fixed once and they told me it was a recall and wouldn't happen again after the fix and it continued after some time to go back to its usual shake before take off. Like I said the last time I went for oil change and full inspection of vehicle at scarsdale Ford dealership the mechanic said he took it out for a drive and saw nothing wrong with my car. After I drove it out the dealership car continued to shake and knew that he was lying. They just dont want to fix the problem. Please help I owe over $4000 left on payments and this car isnt worth not even a penny for the danger it put me through everytime I took the car out for a drive. Whenever my car check engine lite came on was when I was on local roads and highway. The car as of now does not reverse but when driven it also doesnt change its gears properly it skips gear 2 sometimes and car shakes. Luis dickson (917) 569 9109 hunter3044@gmail. Com.
