I was told way back when that door latches had a defect. That there was a recall. Colonial Ford of danbury CT avoided doing the complete recalls. Such is so that I paid out of pocket a transmission rebuild and took Ford 2 years to reemburse me the cost. But the door latch recall was still in effect. It turns out that im getting a door open warning on dash while doors are closed. This was a defect recall going back 5-6 years but was never replaced. Now dealer tells me my car was'nt part of the recall.
Transmission was supposedly rebuilt back July 26, 3021. Now transmission has had a new dual clutch replaced but other concerns are still there jerkiness on accelerations. In 2021 the transmission was not fully rebuild as per recall. Only clutch assembly was done and not the back end. Which now could be the problem. Second, colonial Ford sated transmission rebuilt has lifetime warranty which a lie. Colonial Ford doesn’t offer lifetime. The service advisors lie about this all the time. Now the car jerks on acceleration after clutch replacement. Dealer and Ford still take no responsibility over the product! the car has 145,000 miles still under the 150,000 mile warranty isssue by you!.
The door latch is broken. Door latch will not lock when door is closed. Causing the door to stay open while driving.
The back passenger back door had problems wouldn’t close rt now can’t open. In may it felt like it wasn’t getting power, engine light said turn off car for 10 minutes, while stuck in traffic, so I had it towed to upland Ford dealers, they charged me $209. 99 just to look at it! then after inspecting it they wanted almost $4,000. Which I can’t afford. They said it was the clutch assembly part. The car also has some electrical problems like the car stopped showing the millage last was a round 101. The phone not connecting & the charger plug not working either.
The transmission shift level locks in park. The vehicle is available for inspection. Safety was a concern as I was stopped in a school unloading zone/fire lane and was unable to place the shifter in drive. This caused the lane to be blocked. I googled the problem, and was able to remove a cover and access a manual release. I do not know if the problem was previously inspected, however, it is a common search item on google/internet. There was no prior warning. The problem persists and I will have it checked.
Transmission malfunctions while accelerating. Pulling into a busy road, the vehicle randomly stops accelerating which cause other vehicles to swerve to avoid a crash. The rmp will increase and loose acceleration and then there is no function of the acceleration. As soon as the warning light came on, contacted a dealer and the wait times are over 2 months. The dealer does not want to keep the vehicle and prefers you keep driving until they call you to bring it in.
My car just died on me. No warning or anything. Took the dealership 2 and half weeks to fix my car. They came to the conclusion that it was my trans harness cable. Cost $820. 00 to fix.
My vehicle was serviced by elk grove Ford service dept only 250 miles ago and the vehicle is back in for more service. Time before did the same thing said the problem was this and when they repaired they called and said this is now wrong, I keep asking why no answer. Now the vehicle had to be taken in and I believe because I have put in complaints before that they are f with me and messing with me I told them elk grove Ford randy bapatista that the engine light came on and the wrench light on the engine came on, they called me and told me around March 30th that it needed this and that, they came back now and said the power train control moduel is needed and they cant find any part for it I found a part the advisor said the parts person looked half a day I dont believe them as see that the pcm can maybe reset they have not said to me if they tried reseting the pcm and I would like the part number. I feel I am being set up for more charges as if they would have check the wrench lamp I would not have two charges, they keep repairing items that I believe did not need to be replacement as the plugs were working find.
As I'm driving the car will stop if I get it to go again it won't pick up speed, it will rev up but not go, I was told that it has all the original parts that was until I had someone look at it for the problem stated since then it has new spark plugs new front brakes, break's in back have been rotated new tires, I'm still paying a car note on this car I've had to pay towing fees and still the problem persist I'm scared to put my boys in this car but it's our only form of transportation the dealer that sold me this car is horrible and Ford was of no help, still trying to find the main issue.
Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder failure. Both leaked, clutch pedal ceased functioning while driving, leaving the car inoperable.
Front door on passenger side will not latch,. Mechanically or electrically. To repeat, the door will not latch and swings freely. This occurred after parking the vehicle and attempting to lock all the doors.
Rear driver side door not latching and does not lock and stay closed.
Car jerks and when I unlock door only 1 door unlocks and that is driver's side transmission going out and every time I put gas act like does want to start up again and then its takes forever just to catch up speed.
When attempting to exit the vehicle, I opened the door and the lock assembly on the outside of the door fell of.
Clicking sound just randomly started from inside the dashboard, within few seconds of starting the engine. A quick youtube search came back with hvac blend door motor as the culprit. Seems like a common issue but a huge nuisance as these small parts starts randomly wearing out in less than 100k miles / within 6 years.
My door ajar light has been on and will not turn off.
Locks, today is may 14, 2020. I was at the store and trying to lock my car and it will not turn to lock so I had to lock from the inside, I already have and issue with ine key not locking the doors now the actual lock does not want to lock with the key.
Rear passenger door latch no longer closes. Well known issue for other 2014 Ford Fiestas but recall does not list my specific vehicle.
The car was stationary in my yard and when I started driving the airbag light would turn on and when I turn off the car and on again would go away then would return again being stationary.
The issue in question involves the door latch mechanism. There was previously a recall issued for Ford Fiesta vehicles manufactured between 2012 and 2014. My vehicle is a 2014 model and the vehicle was stationary at the time of the incident. This recall was put into effect either in 2014 or 2015 when the issue became prominent and pronounced. This is the first incident and/or issue that I have experienced with this vehicle. The driver side rear door just decided not to latch two days ago when I arrived at work after retrieving items from the back seat. I took the vehicle to my local dealership this morning to see if it could be rectified as well as find out if any active recalls were presently unrepaired. It was determined that there are no active recalls for the door latch system, however it is feasible and recommended that another recall be issued in light of my recent door latch issue.
Vehicle caught on fire underneath engine area, unsure why as of now but do have fire report. Bought vehicle Saturday and by Monday it was on fire. Oil was spilling out of bottom.
The passenger rear door's latch stopped working. No damages or accidents were done to my car. I rarely use the rear of my car. However, my VIN number doesn't show a recall associated with my specific car even though there is an acknowledged recall for this issue for my specific year, make and model of my car. Also, less than a week later, the rear drivers side door's latch broke in the exact same way as the passenger rear door's latch. This is a safety issue and can lead to accidents and personal harm. I want to get all my latch's fixed, reimbursement for the one I had to pay for, and an apology from Ford. I checked my VIN number and the result showed "0 unrepaired recalls associated with this VIN". However, this specific response does not mean there was never a recall associated with this car. It means that the recalls that were associated with the car have been fixed. However, what if the door latch they used to "fix" the recall for it was faulty as well? how would I be able to check whether the recall that was completed was for the door latch's? how do I get Ford to acknowledge that the issue with my car (two faulty door latches within a week of each other) needs to have a recall on it and needs to be fixed free of charge? I want to discourage the buying of Ford cars as I have heard of many issues with Ford cars and I am now experiencing them myself. I am filling this report in hopes to help others not just myself. Door latches breaking can lead to serious harm.
Door latch on back drivers side opened during movement of car on a city street. My daughter was able to pull over but was unable to close door. The car was taken to Ford and the VIN was not covered under the 3 million cars serviced for this very same issue.
Right rear door latch stopped working suddenly. Backing out of my driveway I noticed my passenger rear door swing open. I stopped to close it but it bounced off the frame with each attempt. Would not latch no matter how hard I pushed. Had to put car in garage because there is no way to secure the contents.
My door all of sudden open when I was driving on the street while having my daughter in the back street which scared me. Thinking it was my door who open the door but I have the child safety on. But after pulling to the side I realize that's not problem. It was my door that does want to latch anymore .
On July 23 2019, I noticed my car door would not close. This is the second incident in one year. Ford is putting my life and my family's life in danger. Last year, it was the left rear door, more recently it was the driver's door.
While parked to fuel my car, I opened the rear driver side door. Upon closing the door it would close but it would not latch. I had to secure the door closed with the rear seatbelt to make it home without the door opening while I was driving.
Rear passenger door latch suddenly stopped working. My 3 year old sits on that side. God knows what would've happened had we been on the highway.
Door latch had failed and was noticed after getting out of car the car in a parking lot. Went to close the rear passenger door and was almost hit by it bouncing back due to the latch being inoperable.
Drivers side door would not close "latch" this also has previously happened on the drivers side rear door. A recall is in effect for some 2014 Ford Fiesta's but this one is not on the list. Was stationary but once the door was open could not be closed due to the door latch not working properly. Have taken this to the local Ford dealership and they say it is not under recall for this VIN.
Driver's side rear passenger door unlaches while car is in motion.
My vehicle was stationary, I opened my driver side passenger door to let my young sister into the back seat and the door would not close and lock into place. There was no visual issues with the door, but from this point on I was unable to securely close my door. I believe this is a door latch safety issues, which has been identified in other Ford model cars.
Ford company knowingly put faulty a transmission in their vehicles. To remedy the situation they then gave an extended warranty for the transmission, but when take your car to a Ford dealership they refuse to repair things that part of the transmission. This is very misleading to cusumers and a hazard for me and my children safety on the road. The gears shift while in motion, which has almost several times caused other vehicles to hit me. When at a stop pulling off it will barely excelerate or give a jerking exceleration, which is awful when pedestrians are near. All of which happens sparactically on the highway or in city traffic. This has been a continuous problem 2 years and thus far I've taken my vehicle to three different Ford dealership and none are willing to uphold the Ford warranty and/or address the issue that Ford knows is a hazard. In closing, I received notice about an settlement regarding this vehicle, I received nothing and I'm stuck with a vehicle no one will repair.
My transmission not working properly. . . And had to replace 2 back doors they would not shot properly too. .
Latch on rear driver side door will not catch and door does not close as a result. No damage was done to the door. A friend got out of the back seat and tried closing the door. The door just swung back open.
