Takata recall I had an issue with my door latches. While I had my vehicle in motion, a notification came up that my door suddenly open. I was able to get out and attempt to close my rear door, unfortunately, it would not stay shut forcing me to drive with it opened. I was was not injured but this is a safety concern. I am single and do not have children therefore hardly anyone is in the backseat of my vehicle.

My 2014 Ford Fiesta, which I bought used, was stationary, I opened the rear driver side door and when I went to close it the door would not close properly due to the latch. Dealership will not cover it because my vehicle was made in a place they claim was not affected by the problem they were recalling other cars for.

While driving on the freeway during the summer in houston my a/c compressor failed and produced a disturbing odor within the car. It inherently has caused driving during the summer to become very taxing due to the heat even with the windows down and on several occasions I have become dizzy due to the heat. A few days later I had 2 blend motors also fail with the a/c system that now cause intermittent and loud clicking noises that can be distracting while driving.

Since buying the vehicle brand new off lot in 2014, I had minor issues with acceleration. Now my warranty is long expired and the issues are worse. I've taken it into garages multiple times with most saying it's normal, the car has to get used to your driving, and also some saying they couldn't replicate problem. It acts up everyone it's driven now even after one of the service bullitens for the tcm. Constantly shutters jerks grinds and bumps has trouble accelerating going up hills and from a stop it's worse in stop-and-go traffic.

My car surges forward almost squealing tires, it makes noisss it clunks out at stop feels like my tranny is going to drop and doesn't shift correctly. Transmission is obviously in safe I am afraid I am going to hit someone from behind the way it surges at times it also sputters and moves down hill when stopped drags when driving up hill. I had to take it in they replaced modular and tranny seal. But it still happens.

I am remembering one incident I had years ago. It was my first year since I got my first driver license. I parked my car. While I was getting off with half of my body already outside the car, my car started moving forward. I jumped back in a car in a shock and tried to stop the car. I realized that I had not removed my car key. I also realized that a stick shift was in neutral position. I told myself that it was my wrong-doing, but after reading numerous complaints and lawsuits against Ford Fiesta over the last years, I am not so sure if it was my fault or the car's defect. It happened only once and can not reproduce this. Around the same time, I have also experienced car not starting several times but again I told myself I am just an idiot for not knowing how to start a car. I did pre-purchase car inspection in October 2016. The inspection report noted that my car had engine lights on with code u0131 and codec0051. I received a csp14m02 letter last Sunday and went to the dealership on Monday for tcm repair or replacement, but I was turned away.

Vehicle has 4 doors. I was parked at my daughters school in the city street. Its the right back door, my daughter opened it, when she tried to close it it wouldn't close, so I tried to close it but it wouldn't, so I checked the mechanism on the door and it was loose. I had to tie the door to the seat. No matter what I did I couldent close it.

The rear passanger door flung open while we were getting off the freeway. This is usually where my son sits but hr happened to sit on the other side that day. My wife held the door closed while we got it home. It was the weekend so we wrapped the seat belt around the handle and latched (buckled) it to get it to the dealer Monday morning. It was terrifying. Turns out there is a recall for this exact problem. My car was manufactured 2 1/2 months after the end of the recall dates but is clearly having the same problem. Called Ford and they stated to contact you, there is nothing they can do. They gave #cas-10138364 as a case number and #15s16 as a recall number to give to you.

The doors will not lock, keep coming open. Big safety violation. Other 2014 Fords have been recalled. This one should be included. Should be fixed for free. Only have had vehicle about a year and a half. Have had other model cars for 10 years or more. Never had these problems with them. Will not lock when stationary and doors open when turning.

Takata recall, I purchase this car June 3, 2016 and I notice that there is a noise coming from either the front or the back wheel there is a roaring sound when the wheels is turning. I looked at the car fax and it shows that there is nothing wrong with this car. I took it back to the car lot and they said they can't find anything wrong, but sometimes when I try to take off there is a roaring sound and it hesitate or sometimes it won't I'm afraid that this car will cause problems when driving.

Hi, recently I bought a 14 Ford Fiesta and at first I loved it. But now im always terrified to drive it. It has 40,000 miles and the tramission is messing up. It will not accelerate somtimes. Somtimes in dangerous situations which is terriying. When accelerating the car jerks and studders its embarassing and also scary. Ive signed multiple petitions on the subject and im ready for the recall. Pleaseeeeeeeee help us Ford Fiesta/focus owners! this is a extremely dangerous situation and Ford doesnt seem to think so. Car also doesnt start properly accelerating till 30+ mph. Make Ford recall all Ford Fiesta/focus cars from 2011 to present! you will save lives.

The first time was before maria took the car to the Ford of carolina in puerto rico. I was informed to call a number that was in the letter. I called and I never got my phone answered. Then after maria (the hurricane) they were not tending to anyone and there was a role letting us know that I could go to Ford DE fajardo, Ford DE ponce, Ford of kennedy avenue or the Ford DE caguas. For my condition, it was pertinent to be cared for in carolina. After that day they closed trades and left (so as not to serve anyone). Then 2 letters arrived and informed me that I had to wait for a third letter to arriven the information of proceed to repair the doors that open when the carriage is being driven from the inside out.

My mother in law and I both own a Ford Fiesta and a Ford focus. . Mine bought brand new in 2014 and hers used but gently used and we've had problems with them since we bought them. We have both tried bringing them into Ford many times to get fixed and they both tell us it's the computers. . That they need to be reset. Every time they reset the computers and we continually have to take them back in. . Even when the transmission light lights up, all they do is reset the computers. The last time I took my Fiesta in, it was still shaking when I drove it to check on it. The man at Ford told me that they all do that and it's normal. A few days later, I had to take it back in because it stalled. When it finally started, when I put it into drive, it reversed and would not drive forward. We took it to Ford, they reset it and blamed it on the computers. A few days later, the transmission light lighted up and it stalled on my husband. I need a solution to this issue because they keep sending us home without fixing it. What should we do?.

My car has had a shimmy/shaking at 20-30 mph. I was told it was the computer needing reset numerous times. The car, months later, went in for a new clutch and then it started to cut out at 30 mph and engine light came one. I was told 3 different things that might be wrong. The car cut out going up state st. In town going about 30 mph. Cars beeping and going around me. Was scarey. Took car back to dealership and has been there since November 27, 2015. I have no car and no options since car is a year old. Something needs to be done.

My transmission is bad. The clutch part is not functioning properly. I am unable to accelerate properly. I have to make sure there is a long gap to pull out in front of anybody because it takes that long for me to accelerate to the speed limit. As well, when I do press down to accelerate, the car will stall and I have an automatic car.

New car bought in February 2014. Summary: doors remained locked after impact and air bag deploy. Involved in front end collision. Air bag under the steering wheel deployed. Steering wheel airbag did not deploy. Obvious damage to hood, grill and radiator. Car automatically placed in park. When exiting car immediately after accident, keys left in ignition and door was closed by user and doors remained locked (by car, not user). I was then locked out of my car and unable to access it. If there had been a child or passenger in the car, they would have been inaccessible due to the car not unlocking the doors upon impact/ airbag deployment. In an accident, the user may be too flustered to think of pressing the unlock door button prior to exiting the vehicle, this should be done automatically after impact.

This 2014 Ford Fiesta vehicle has some major transmission issues: slipping, clunking, chugging, jerking, shuttering, and rattling when doing something as simple as pressing the gas pedal to accelerate when a traffic light turns green. This issue also occurs when I begin to come to a complete stop. I've only had the car for about five months and the issues have occurred throughout that time period. I have taken this vehicle to a Ford repair shop. The mechanic completed a reprogramming of some type. He informed me that the reprogramming typically resolves the issues that this vehicle is having; but the issues still remain, in fact, it's gotten worse. The hesitation of this vehicle to accelerate leaves me feeling unsafe. Motorists in passing vehicles are zooming by me as I am attempting to get this car to go. In addition, when I firmly press the gas petal, the car hesitates then begins to accelerate at a rapid speed. These issues occur while I am driving on the interstates, highways, streets, dirt roads, etc. It also does not matter if I am making a turn, shifting in drive or in reverse. . . The issues remain the same. Ford needs to be held accountable for these issues. It is terrible that they would not be concerned about the safety of their consumers. These safety issues were not mentioned on the carfax report. If they had been then I would not have purchased this vehicle.

I was driving on the highway in the early evening, approx 55 degrees, fair weather, a/c and heat off, smooth roadway. Suddenly the sunroof glass exploded with a very loud gunshot-like noise. There was a large hole in the sunroof with some glass chunks in the interior. Most of the glass appeared to leave the vehicle as if it exploded outward. The sunroof shade was open at the time but the sunroof itself was closed. I pulled over and looked inside the car for rocks or other objects but found none. I took photos.

While at a stop light and attempting to accelerate the car hesitated and did a jumping like shudder/shaking. It stopped after the car was just above the 20 mph mark. Since it did not happened again for a few weeks did not take it into consideration, and did not attempt to take it to the dealer. Most of the times they tell you the hesitation and shaking need to be present when the inspect the vehicle to determine the cause of it. I was researching some TSB# and found out this shaking and hesitation was a more serious problem that we (my spouse and I) thought and wanted to file a complaint about this.

Its gear or transmission problem . . Which the car will have vibration or they call it shuttering . . Its repeatative . . Ford will fix and return the car . . After few months it will have the same issue again when I asked about it they said its famous for some cars like figo , focus, fieata and ecosport . The vehicle was not recalled but the warranty is extended and not announced . . By chance I knew that . . Doors locker . . Suddenly one of the four doors wont close trying to shut the door but it wont close the best solution was to close the door and tie it with seat built ( as emergency procedure till I reach to agency or garage ) it happened twice with my car. But no recall which is unsafe . For the transmission started when I bought my car.

The 2014 Ford Fiesta has a very sluggish shift between the first and second gears and the upshift bogs down as if the vehicle might stall. The transmission defect includes bucking, kicking, jerking, harsh engagement, and delayed acceleration and lurching. I had an incident when changing lanes at slow speeds when the transmission of my vehicle jerked and while the other driver was also partially at fault, the faulty transmission also contributed to a minor fender bender.

This car is very dangerous to own and drive. The tcm transmission control module . Is always failing. It has went out many time and I have almost died several times over. It has destroyed the clutches many times as well. Went to cross a road get half way through and loss power and not go any where ,stalls out in traffic and no starts need to merge with traffic on highway it will let go as you merge then you get ran over again this car has nearly killed us many times over. It has been repaired many times for the same reason . This has occurred many times intown traffic and highway traffic and setting still . I bought this car brand new and it was only five months into owning it it went to hell.

Defective transmission;the car hesitates and sputters when you accelerate, as if it is going to shut down completely. Last year, I received notice of lawsuit filed in California as to the defective transmission and was told that I could settle with a dispute resolution specialist which denied me the repurchase/replacement because I have a 5 year warranty. The transmission is defective and cannot be fixed, it does not matter if the warranty is 5 years or more. The trade-in value of this car is so low, I cannot afford to purchase another vehicle. I just want all to know that Ford does not stand behind their defective vehicles.

Issues with this vehicle began as soon as we got it. Car constantly stutters like it's about to stall (was told by salesman that it was because car was brand new and once we "broke it in' that would go away). It has not. Does not accelerate when it should and doesn't decelerate when it should, no matter how hard or soft you press the pedals. Car seems to have a mind of it's own. Likes to accelerate when have brake pressed, have almost rear-ended cars in front because of it's lurching forward. When using sport mode, car would not have any more power, but engine would redline. Strong burning smell also. Once car finally got moving, it was very difficult to get it to slow down. You can push brake pedal to the floor but car is still going - and fighting you to keep going. Dealer upgraded software - which seemed to help for the first few days - and told us not to use the sport mode anymore, which we do not. Dealer stated all complaints were not issues, that is how the car works due to the type of engine it has in it. First time Ford buyer, first brand new car in a very, very long time. Car is driven to and from work 56 miles everyday, plus leisure. Feel very insecure driving car. Car is not safe and Ford needs to be pressured to fix these issues or stop making these type of engines!.
