While driving my car with my two little nieces in the backseat, I heard a sound that made me think a wheel was coming off. As long as I was driving straight, the vehicle seemed to be okay. But when I made a turn onto the next road, something broke underneath the car and we began to spin around. It felt like the wheels were rubbing under the floor of the car and we were in the middle of the street. When I got out, I saw the rear wheels were cocked at an angle to the rest of the car. I thank god we weren't on a busy highway where we could have all been killed.

While driving car suddenly jerked wheel out of drivers hands and almost pulled the car into a ditch on the right side. Lights on the dash say steering assist unavailable service now. There has been a recall on Ford cards with this epas system but somehow this system has still not been fixed and is going to kill more people if your agency keeps allowing it to not be a total recall on all vehicles with this system installed.

I was heading out in reverse the car felt slow when I pressed the gas it took a while to accelerate. When I came to a stop the wheel felt stiff and shaky. I pressed the gas pedal to turn, but it wouldn't go. It felt like the gas was suffocating it wasn't moving and the wheel felt stiff and hard to turn it took a awhile to move. I got scared and drove back home. I took it to Ford left it there to get checked. I asked about the transmission because the light had turned on. I was told they reset the module and that they sent me an estimate to my email if I wanted to do the repairs that they recommended. I asked if it was ok to drive the car they said yes, that I would feel it shudder, but that it was ok to go. I have been driving it to work, but it still takes a while when I press the gas.

Replacing ignition switch on 2015 Ford Fiesta 23 Jan 2020 and was notified by the Ford service manager at fairway Ford in evans, GA, that the steering wheel locking system was not installed on vehicle. This also did not lock gear shifter. We are now having to have it installed and paying to have it installed. Lucky the vehicle was not in any accidents.

Car has approx 35k miles. Car drove fine to location. Upon starting car to leave location, there was no power steering. Shutting off ignition and restarting resolved the issue, however, leaves concerns regarding the reliability of the power steering as no immediate cause could be determined by mechanic.

I have a 2015 Fiesta that has 811 miles on it. The VIN # 3fadp4bj3fm220366. I bought for my daughter and she has had three accidents. She has not driven the last 1 years, as the hide original message police said it was her fault, although she said that the car just moved forward! at that time we did not have any idea that the Fiesta had any problems. She also has not been able to work because this went against her record. I have had the car in my garage, and hire someone about every six month to come and service this car. May I ask that you consider refunding to me the price I paid and you can then have this car back. Thanking you in advance for any consideration. Kind regards, carol dave' 4303 foxpointe drive west bloomfield mi 48323 248-921-4489.

Transmjtions feels slugish one day normal next revs up at times more than normal makeing vehilce speed up when needing to slow down . Suspension often warps out of place makeing the drive harsh on motar and falls back on place. Steeding collum falls out of place to odften have to bend the wheel to get back alignment.
Now second occurrance of a problem with the power steering. Power assist fails on startup with car stationary and in motion. Both times the car had been parked in cold weather for a few hours. Unassisted steering is very high effort and renders the car almost unusable. The first time this occurred the dash warning light was on; dealer service follow-up had the car for four days but failed to trace the problem or document the failure code. During last occurrence the warning light did not appear. In both cases stopping and re-starting the vehicle caused the power steering to function properly again.
Turning a curvature on a mountain road steering locked and brakes failed car went over the mountain as a result passangers three were injured and one fatality.
We bought our 2012 Ford Fiesta about a 2 years ago. Since then we have taken it to 2 mechanics and the problems persist. The transmission shudders and lurches forward at random. The car has major issues accelerating and has almost gotten us in many accidents. The car seems like it gets stuck in a lower gear and will not move out of it even as your foot is pressed all the way down.
Steering wheel flops and clunks during slow turns.
The power steering assist stopped working completely and car shows a warning light for power steering assist. Car has 88,000 miles on it. Very difficult to steer at any speed but most especially at low speeds.
At approximately 6:30 am on October 2, 2017 I left for work. About 1 mile down the road I suddenly loss power steering. I was travelling approximately 35 mph and was negotiating a curve at the time of failure. I failed to negotiate the curve and veered off the road coming to a stop before having a collision with any trees. I looked at my dash and there was a digital message that read power steering fault. I shut the car off and turned it back on and the problem persisted so I returned home driving approximately 15 mph. I was about 1. 5 miles from a 9% downgrade with sharp curves; had this fault happened at that point I surely would have impacted a guard rail at best or gone off over a cliff at worst.
Only had vehicle a month. Had 2 blow outs on tires. Have had problems with suspension since that time. Had to several alignments and replace more tires due to ware. Have problems with steering mostly on the passenger side still continues.
Intermittently and without warning, the traction control light will come on in dry and mild conditions. This has occurred while the car is in motion and while it is stopped, all in city traffic. This will often lead to a warning saying "hill start assist not available" and, occasionally, the power steering will stop working. On the three occasions the power steering has stopped working in the past 5 weeks, once was while moving straight and twice were while turning, making it very difficult to complete the turn. We have taken the car to the dealer for the traction control light issue 4 times now. The first 2 trips, the car was under warranty but the last 2 have been after the warranty expired. The first 2 trips we were told that the problem could not be recreated and therefore could not be fixed. On the third trip the dealer was able to see the light and pull a code. They replaced the hydraulic control module and reprogrammed the computer, but the problem occurred again the next morning.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fiesta. While attempting to accelerate, the vehicle hesitated and failed to accelerate properly. In addition, a scrapping type noise was present coming from the steering wheel while operating the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the deal hamilton Ford dealer located in clovis, new mexico, but the failure was unable to be duplicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 8,000.
I have been told that the clutches, forks and sealant need replacing totaling $3700 in work. When I go over 3 rpm the wrench symbol comes on saying transmission problem.
Steering wheel plastic cover catches finger at 5 o'clock and 7 o'clock when trying to turn. Placing finger and turning steering wheel catches finger and could lead to an accident. Plastic sticks out from the black back plastic that it touches. In my car it's a gray accent u shaped that starts on the left side of the airbag and goes down and around to the right side of the airbag. The tough part of the u-shaped goes from the left and you have the telephone buttons radio buttons on one side and then your cruise control buttons on the other in the center of the top of the u-shap. Down along the bottom when it touches the outside of steering wheel that's where your finger can get caught when trying to turn it while driving. If you reach your hand in through the small bottom holes and pull out you can fill the extra plastic and almost a shapness down along the bottom when it touches the outside of steering well that's where your finger to get caught when trying to turn it while driving. If you reach your hand in through the small bottom holes and pull out you can fill the extra plastic and almost a sharpness from it .
Vehicle is dangerous. I have experienced loss of power with no response to the gas pedal. Car jerks violently while driving making it very difficult to steer and maintain. I have not driven car in months because it is a safety hazard. I have taken car to dealer 4 times and each time they are fixing the transmission, but it does the same thing right after getting the car back. Avoid this vehicle do not buy.

Takata recall. My cars transmission is not working well.
I have reported this problem before. . The lever for the engage/disengage for the tilt telescopic wheel is very hard for me to engage I'm 76 & it takes a lot of hand strength to move it up & down. I complained to the service person at the dealer about this but she claimed they couldn't touch that it's a safety issue; well I knew about the safety & I'm not asking to remove the lever just make it easier for me to use. . . So here I am one year later & my hand & thumb are permanently damaged & the pain is horrendous. . Another default or defect from Ford & in addition this vehicle shouldn't even have been on the lot Ford had already notified dealers about the problems with the transmission in these models so now in addition to this issue I'm in a class action lawsuit with this new car. .
Clunk clunk noise when turning wheel forward & backwards, when moving. This was verified with dean seller dealer. Advised that steering wheel shaft needed to be replaced. Vehicle had 17,782 miles. Reported to Ford motor 8/24/16. Received case #cas-10397672. No help from Ford, even though I suggested a defaulted part was involved. They closed case, with no satisfaction from mfg. Or dealer.
Purchased 02/26/16 since purchase breaks have locked up 7 times, took to original dealer of purchase 8 times in first two months of purchase by the time they get car they find nothing wrong taken to Ford dealership 3 times they replaced censor states it will fix problem and has not have almost gotten in several accidents because breaks lock up and prevent car from going forward and unable to move.
While my 17 year old daughter was driving her 2013 Ford Fiesta the power steering malfunctioned. This happened once before while she was in a parked position, this time however it was while she was driving. After the engine is shut off and restarted the problem is resolved. This is definitely a concern because you have no warning when it will happen. We bought this car 8 months ago for our daughter, she has been a licensed driver since December 2015. The car had 1 previous owner, no accidents, low mileage. Had recall issue for door latches taken care of as well as reprogramming the tcm 3 days before steering went out.
While in park or driving, I would turn the steering wheel and feel a gritty/chunky motion. So I had a mechanic check it out. They informed me that the universal joints were bad and to have the shaft replaced. I ordered part number be8z3a525b from Ford and once I opened it, the joints felt the exact same way my current steering shaft feels. It is gritty and feels like a grinding motion. I tried to return the part and was informed they were all made the same way and that it is normal. This is not normal, no car or equipment should have a gritty feel, they should all be smooth. My mechanic informed me that the steering shaft could go out at any time and I wouldn't be able to drive my car. I feel unsafe driving this Fiesta and request Ford recall the steering shaft and correctly make them to be smooth.
Steering wheel became stuck while driving. Power steering alarm turned on. Then it was very difficult to steer the car. I bring the car to the dealer for service. Parts of the power steering system were replaced. But my life was at risk while driving with a stuck steering wheel.
Brought car in for a popping/grinding noise in front of car when turning at low speeds ended up replacing lower steering shaft.
My sister bought a 2011 Ford Fiesta and has only put about 50000 miles on it. Took it to Ford and was told the lower steering shaft needs replaced. Cost-over $300. This isn't covered on warranty. I find it odd that a steering issue would not be covered under warranty. Ford is making unsafe cars!!!!!!!.
