Car will stop accelerating or moving in the middle of driving and completely lock up. I am unable to go forward or in reverse when this happens. However the car will still rev just not move. This is so dangerous and has happened in intersections as well as on the freeway. I've had car looked at multiple times and have had to tow off side of freeway due to it not moving!.

Ford dealership "fixed" the transmission on 7-24-19 except it's not fixed. At a stop when pressing the gas the car won't move then suddenly launch forward randomly. It also still loses all engine power while driving down the road. These were the same symptoms as before the "fix". This issue has caused a minor accident as well. We got lightly rear ended when a light turned green, we started moving forward and at about 7-10mph we lost all power and the person behind us couldn't stop quick enough. Damage was minor, just some chipped paint but it could have been much worse.

When I step on the gas, the car sporadically will not go. So I will step on the gas little bit more and the car will still not go. So I will step on the gas a little more and then something will engage and I will shoot forward. This happens in places where it could be catastrophic. For example, once I was at a stop sign and this was happening and because my car wasn't moving, another car started to go and my car finally engaged and shot forward and I narrowly missed hitting that other vehicle.
Takata recall, my car keeps jerking and stuttering to go I've had this car for about four about 4 years , I've took it to the shop about 5 times the workers told me there wasn't anything the could do after I kept taking it because the dual clutch would keep messing up yesterday while driving on the high way my car stayed at 30 mph it then started smoking so I had to pull over I then stopped my car and then my car would not start up until this day now I am stuck with a car note with no car.
The car has difficulty shifting gears and has trouble accelerating properly.

My car is having electrical issues, the transmission will over rev but my speed remains the same or decreases. The car will lose power over time and the pedal will become spongy. This has become a very large inconvenience and an extreme safety hazard to myself and my passenger. I was almost in a collision with another vehicle which would be deemed my fault even though it would me the vehicle malfunctioning. When contacting Ford dearborn and perry Ford they tell me there's nothing they can do or I can pay a fee.

My car stalls when I come to a red light . . Its like it dont wana move. . Slow accler ation.
My car is have issues with the transmission slipping. The car will not accelerate properly and jerks aggressively. I then checked the for website and there is an open recall for the transmission controll module. I called my local Ford dealer and they will not work on the transmission because my car has a salvaged title.
This car haa trouble going the speed of traffic. It takes very long to gain speed as well as break and also jerks uncontrollably.

Since week 1 the car (when at a stop and in gear) if you pressed the accelerator at any level the car would do nothing then after roughly 3-6 seconds it would randomly launch forward. It would also seemingly go into neutral on the highway which led to a complete loss of engine power. This also happens when on a normal road at any speed and is completely random and one time at a red light we began to accelerate then power suddenly cut out and we got rear ended lightly. I told peter's Ford in nashua nh during our 1st 3 oil changes about the issue and was told implicitly that it was completely normal and I shouldn't worry about it as it will just go away on its own. Essentially I was brushed off despite 3 complaints that never led to the dealer checking the car. These issues have been constant since we bought the car brand new in 2016.
Takata recall, a message will appear and say engine malfunction service now. And when it do appear the car slows down in the middle of the highway and the throttle pedal will not work even after you have had the car serviced, which is very dangerous.
I took my car to a Ford dealership to take action on recall 14m01. They replaced the clutch under warranty and returned my car to me. A day later my car flashed a check engine light while I was 45 minutes away from home on the highway. Codes that came up were addressed & the vehicles condition worsened until it went fully into limp mode while returning from an attempt to restart the computer.
While driving "engine malfunction service now" light comes on, then stops accelerating in motion. Turned vehicle off/on light goes out, continue driving and it happens again. Did all my checks and balances, seems like a manufacturures issue. High safety issue when traveling. Had transmission shutter seal replaced twice in 2 yrs by Ford dealership free of charge.
My throttle body with 28000 miles on it malfunctioned and sent car into limp mode leaving it undriveable and Ford won't cover it under warranty.
My 2015 Fordfiesta loses speed stalls and has been brought in to dealership in ruston ,was told it was clutch recall they fixed it and it still drives horrible . I lost speed nearly got hit. On way to dealership now check engine light on says service now I'm upset the at has under 22k miles stalls loses power.
Car regularly shudders. Acceleration is a problem. Problems occur while driving and switching gears in all road types especially hills.
Issues involving class action lawsuit.
I stopped twice on an intersection and a traffic light and the engine revved up to 3000 to 4000 rpm involuntarily from between 500 and 1000 rpm and I had to step hard on the brake in order not to have the vibrating car move forward. No, I did not hit the brake and the gas pedal at the same time. After I shifted the car into neutral at the next red light it did not show this behavior again. So it looks like a software glitch in the shifting computer part.

I traded my cube for Fiesta. There are two recalls I found the attached in the glove compartment. I took it to sloan Ford. They told me if it doesn't meet the specifications of a recall they won't do the repair work. Tues they provided a shuttle service. I need the car to work. The car won't kick in from stop to start. It's a concern to me at a stop light. The window cover in passenger side dog chewed on the handle won't get replaced. Also the window switch on front passender won't close. I'm concerned, I want to keep the car, but I can't have it stall out on me. I was told by the dealership they'd give free repair and loaner car. I got it from roberts Honda in downingtown, and have an appointment sloan Ford. It looks like prior owner had it looked at didn't bring it in for the repair. I also wasn't given a second key to the car. Kindly help. It needs to kick in. . There's a transmission shutter and clutch repair job. I want to be safe in the car. Service advisor sounded like he didn't want to do the work. I need the information on the warranty 3yr/36000 can't get it. If I'm at a light and starting up, it feels like a machine gun rifle. . . . The cat light came on one time on dash too. The strink to hold up the trunk lift was given with duct tape on it.
While driving my car up an inclined the car idle up so loud and did not allow me to accelerate once the car was level to get out of traffic. I been having problem with this car for so long. The manager told me that's the way the car drive it new. I kept talking this car back like every month something else would happen. The latch on the driver side, water leak on the passengers side, water leak in the trunk were it started to mold. Trunk latch hard to open. Took it to Ford in joliet not helpful at all. They test drove the car and said it's fine. Then all of a sudden a recall on the transmission life time warranty. I'm here again to get the trunk fixed water still gets in it. The key remote is not working.
Upon easy acceleration, the throttle response goes dead at 20 to 30 mph, the car slows down to a crawl yet the engine seems to idle well. . . My car has automatic transmission. . Fearing rear end collision.
When I moved gearshift from park to drive, car accelerated violently. I do not believe I accidentally used the accelerator, this occured in parking lot. After moving about 20 feet I hit a heavy gate with enough force to do extensive damage to car including bent chassis.
When starting to accelerate, there is no power. The transmission then kicks back and it goes flying over 4000 rpms before it will shift. While driving, it will randomly give a slight kick and lose power, despite not increasing or decreasing pressure on the gas pedal. There was a class action lawsuit regarding this, I then got it "fixed" under warranty (total replacement of the clutch assembly) but the problem still persists. I have contacted the dealership I bought it from, and they will not return my calls or emails. I contacted Ford and they will not take any responsibility either. I bought this car only a year ago and the kbb value has already dropped to less than what I still owe, presumably in part due to the lawsuit. I am at a loss for what to do now. Not only am I financially hurting because of the constant trips to the shop and the loss of value, meaning I will never get out from under this car, but I am legitimately concerned for my safety and my life, and Ford doesn't care. I do not want to continue to drive this death trap but as it's worth far less than what I owe, I can't get another vehicle because my funds are wrapped up in this one.
When I try to accelerate my car shudders. When I go from the brakes and try the gas pedal my car jerks and has issues accelerating. I have been to the dealership several times for this problem all they do is reprogram. It is good for 2-3 days then goes back to jerking and shuddering. These problems occur most when I'm pulling out of driveways and partying lots from a stopped position trying to increase speed. I have had a few close calls because my car has problems speeding up when I'm on the expressway too. I got the car used at 20000 miles. The dealership when I brought it in for the first time in November 2016 told me it was normal for my car to have transmission problems. After several visits the problem was never fixed.
Yes when I turn on my car it makes a little noise on the engine. And also when I driving the car it makes it louder and the transmission slipped on the first gear it doesn't run properly at all. . . Cause I have other car and it runs real good no problems at all. . Well thanks I hope they will help me.
The vehicle was purchased brand new. We have already taken it to Ford repair shops a number of times for replacement parts, repairs, recalls, etc. Recently, the vehicle would not start (among other continuing problems with shaking while braking, jerking when shifting gears--both of which we've already had worked on several times) so we had it taken to a Ford dealer near where we live. We found out the problem is with the transmission control module. It turns out that Ford has a csp for this problem. However, we did not know about it and by the time we started having problems, we were past the mileage for the warranty coverage. I am extremely displeased with this vehicle and the customer service we have received. I believe it is bias and discriminatory to repair problems you know about only if they are on vehicles with mileage under 150,000. If there is a known problem. Ford should fix it and fix it for everyone, not just people who do not drive their vehicle frequently. This car has had known transmission problems and numerous recalls already. The problem is, every time we have it worked on, it never fixes it completely.
Ive taken my car to the dealership around 4 times for the same problem. The fourth being the worst. The car will shudder, shake, over rev, low power when taking off and lack of powersteering and brakes. Its had its tcm reprogrammed to no avail! clutch has been replaced to no avail. Third time it stared again and had to get the car reprogrammed again. The last time the car would not drive over 30 mph without shaking shuddering and trying to find the right gear. Couple of times the car stopped while driving!! dealership replaced the tcm . On about the fourth time in. My wife drives our kids to school in this car and I have not confidence in its ability to sustain and deliver my family safely to their destinatation. Im currently making payments and have also tried to talk to Ford about a buy back or replacement and they said I don't meet or qualify for the California lemon law. They had pulled my records at the dealership to verify the car status. All actions that the car displayed and others have encountered have happened when pulling away to accelerate. A couple of my complaints on the service record was not recorded. I think the first and the last ones were however.
I bought my 2012 Ford Fiesta in 9/2015 with approx. 16,000 miles on it. Since I purchased the car, it has been in the shop 5 times (one of which for 26 days). #1 was due to the door latch. My 10yr old was sitting in the backseat when the right side door swung open while I was making a turn. #2 was due to the transmission. The car was having trouble shifting gears & began shaking, then the lights inside & out started blinking and the car completely shut off while I was driving down the highway. #3 was for the transmission again, which locked up while I was driving down i75 in naples the evening of 12/28/2015. The car completely locked up and had to be towed in the middle of the night. #4 the transmission again. While driving north on i75 the car started making a strange whinny noise then shortly after locked up while I was still driving. That time I barely made it off to the side of the highway. Car was towed again to dealership. #5 transmission. . . Again. While driving at 11:30pm at night 8/2016 car lights started blinking on & off and then the car completely shut off while I was driving. Managed to be able to turn it on again and drive it to the dealership. . . Where it stayed for 26 straight days. Tomorrow will be #6. . . Due to transmission problems. . . Again. Car is making whinny noises again, shaking and having trouble shifting gears, temperature light is coming on and a/c is not cooling anymore. Itomorrow I'll be getting an attorney as well.
After filling the vehicle with fuel, the car will not start for at least 5 minutes. Once driving the rpms will fluctuate rapidly while I have my foot on the gas. The car will have trouble accelerating and then speed up and I have to be careful to stop it. If I have to stop and start too many times in traffic this will also cause the rpms to fluctuate and then the car will stall. I have to throw it in park and then try to restart real fast and when I restart it it accelerates quickly.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fiesta. While coming to a stop, the vehicle began to rev while in neutral at high speeds. The vehicle would decelerate intermittently as if it would stall, but then suddenly began to accelerate. The failure recurred while driving approximately 30 mph. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to stop until the anti-lock brakes were activated. The dealer stated that the electronic throttle body failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The part for the repair was on back order. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the repair was no longer under warranty. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 62,143.
Unable to get car out of park, when I did, coming out of a parking lot, it stalled in middle of a busy street, had no power, transmission, stability and check engine light came on, after pushing on the gas peddle a few times, it finally, had enough power to drive it home.
This vehicle is unsafe and should be recalled. Dual transmission cluch is a serious problem disengaging while driving slow or fast and shutters at all speeds. Its electronic throttle body (ecb) is defective just like 1. 6 million 2009-2014 Ford escape and fusion and Mercury mariner and milan vehicles that Ford started a "customer satisfaction program" in lieu of a recall. Of course the ecb is not under warranty (3,000 over) and Ford did not identify the Fiesta as one of the customer satisfaction program cars. $545 plus labor for a car that is 3 years old. No more Ford products for home or work for this cfo.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. While driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle lost acceleration and did not respond. The contact had to remove her foot from the accelerator pedal and depress it again in order for the vehicle to respond. The failure occurred daily for approximately the past two years. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice and had the clutch replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was invalid. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.
Lunges forward any time it wants, anyplace it wants too.
