The contact owns a 2009 Ford Flex. While driving approximately 5 mph, the vehicle would no longer accelerate. The contact attempted to accelerate beyond 5 mph but the vehicle would not respond. The vehicle was pulled over and shut off. Upon restarting, the contact was able to continue driving normally. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was told that the all wheel drive and anti lock braking system engaged simultaneously, not allowing the vehicle to accelerate beyond 5 mph. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 30,500.
I bought my 2009 Ford Flex in June 2009. The first time I noticed a problem was in July 10, 2009. I was traveling down a residential street and was approaching a stop sign and doing appx 28mph when they car engine died. The steering wheel tightened up and the power brakes went out. I stopped the car as quickly as possible, and then started the car again. After that it ran just fine for a month. Then in August 2009, I was yet again going down a residential street and was approaching the stop sign going appx 28mph and the engine shut off again, the steering wheel tightened up and the power brakes went out. We took it to the Ford dealer, and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Then, it did the same thing to me again on Monday September 28th 2009, this was the second time to bring it to a Ford dealer. They hooked the troubleshooter up to it, and it didn't throw any codes that anything was wrong, so the dealership replaced the throttle body on the car. Since then it hasn't stalled yet. . . But it was only put on less than a week ago. Hopefully it doesn't stall on me for a 4th time!!!!.
