The vehicle has a panoramic roof with each of the three windows having a roller sunshade. Two of three roller sun shades have failed or are not working causing excessive glare and heat in the vehicle.

Rear view camera does not work permanently sometimes image is upside down or no image. A lot of times this happens while backing up creating a safety hazard as we can hit other cars or people.

Similar to the issues per Ford recall 25s72, the backup camera screen turns blue, then black with an indication, “camera unavailable. ” this drastically increases the risk of accidents, particularly in crowded parking lots, driveways, or areas with pedestrians and children may be present. There have been numerous accounts of older Flex cameras failing in a similar manner.

When reverse gear is selected: the rear backup camera stop providing rear view. It sometime is a blank screen or reports rear camera is not available. With out the camera working as designed reverse collisions may not be avoided. I did contact the local Ford dealer and they advised it was not a warranty issue. No other warning lights display.

My Ford reverse camera fails to display a correct image, decreasing driver visibility. It is nearly always displayed upside down or occasionally the image fails to appear at all. The parking guide lines also fail to display since January. There were no warning lights when the malfunction began in January 2023 and at that same time, the camera started remaining on while I drive forward, showing a live upside down view while driving forward for various amounts of time after shifting out of reverse. The Ford dealership says they have several people with rear view camera malfunctions right now but they aren't manufacturing those cameras at this time so they can't fix it and there is no eta at all. In addition to that, they quoted a high price to fix this some day when the part is made again even though it's clearly a manufacturer defect. I've been repeatedly asking Ford for help with my faulty rear view safety camera since Jan 2023. The dealership inspected it and confirmed the defect which is easily reproduced by simply putting the vehicle in reverse. They did not inspect the cables, wiring or electrical components even though I requested it. There has been no resolution and my car is unsafe in reverse because of the Ford camera defect and non-working backover protection. This is a long vehicle and the defective reverse camera or camera wiring causing the image to be upside down or flashing off to black creates a risk of backing up into people, objects and other vehicles. It is extremely troubling and dangerous at all times in reverse, especially in parking lots and in areas with pedestrian or vehicular traffic, street parking and in tight conditons such as parking structures and garages. I've been asking for a resolution from Ford for almost 6 months. I need the camera and wiring repaired ASAP or a temporary vehicle to drive until this safety issue is resolved. The problem was with the backup camera. The problem started when we had about 25,000 miles on the car, I ended up getting the camera replaced at 36,000 miles. The camera worked properly 90 to 95% of the time. Sometimes it would just be fuzzy, sometimes it would be blank and say camera not available, and other times it showed everything upside down. Sometimes the obstacle beeper would work, and when the camera wasn't working the beeper would not work. We were going on a trip over the recent christmas holidays out of state and my wife wanted the peace of mind of having that camera working. We are both retired, and I took it to a dealer and it cost almost $700 to replace the camera. I told the Ford dealer that I wanted the bad camera, and I do possess it. I have googled the problem, and I noticed that it is a rampant problem with Ford vehicles but I am convinced that they haven't done a recall on the Flex because they stopped making these vehicles in 2019. I have a 15-year-old Chrysler product with 150,000 miles on it and the backup camera works perfectly. Ford seems to recall all of their new and current vehicles for this identical problem but they have no intention of helping me with the cost. I've called them several times and I have a case number with them but the only response that I have gotten, is that there's no recall so they can't do anything about it. Interestingly, when I made the appointment to get it fixed the service guy said he had to check inventory of the cameras because they go through them so quickly. He got back to me and told me that they had just received six more so I could come in right away and get it taken care of. I had it fixed December 15th at dean sellers Ford in troy michigan. I have taken pictures of the invoice and the bad part but I can't seem to load them on this form.

In may 2019 a side vent window om the passenger side shattered while the car was in the garage. On 2/14/2020, the rear cargo area window on the passenger side also shattered spontaneously while sitting in the driveway. The window that shattered on 2/14/2020 was bowed out after it shattered so the breakage could not have come from outside the car.

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Ford Flex. The contact stated while driving at nightshe noticed that her windshield was filled with a distorted view of abnormal objects. The vehicle was taken to a dealer(corwin Ford1225 auto plex way, pasco, wa 99301) for repairs however the contact was informed that her VIN was not part of the recall, therefore she would be responsible of the repairs. The manufavturer was notified and provided the same information. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000 tp.

Speakers let out extremely loud crackle noise, ear piercing static noise and all of a sudden the radio no longer works. The radio does turn on but you can not change the channel nor any sound. Absolutely no sound no matter what the volume is at. If my phone is paired to the radio it's complete silence and both parties hear nothing but silence. This happens not matter if you are driving or parked. You get the same results in all positions of the vehicle.

My Ford Flex 2009 was parked at work went on break to my Ford Flex open drivers door crab what I need closed door and back rear window shattered out into peace's not sure what caused it. Has there been any recalls for this incident with Ford.

The windshield defrost does not clear the windshield when turned on this winter. The fan blows ok. The fan belt is ok. This is a safety problem.

The drivers side door is showing that it is open randomly when I am driving down the road. (door is closed and locked) the lights and alarm will come on and makes it unable to see at night when driving. This is a safety issue and needs to be recalled due to unsafe driving conditions. The door sensor is a issue that needs to be fixed.

Headlights randomly turn off after a few minutes. This occurs while in manual mode and in automatic mode. Turning the know to "off" and back to "on" restores the lights to working condition. While the headlights turn off, the parking lights and fog lights stay on most of the time. We had one occasion where all front end lights stopped working - especially concerning as we we re driving at night, in complete darkness on a rural road.

The rear window washer hose has blown apart three times. Once last winter so I could not remove slush to see out rear window. Twice this year, at the connection to rear hose. New hose installed at Ford dealer month or so ago. Since then hose blew apart at fire wall. I pushed connection back into firewall. Saterday 7-29-17 car was in for oil change I asked if they could look at hose. They could not,said to schedule an appointment. 8-1-17 front window hose blew apart. I could not clean bugs from window. Will schedule third repair appointment tomorrow. I was driving on expressway for all rear hose problems. 45 mph city street with front hose problem.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Flex. The contact noticed a small crack in the side window. The vehicle was taken to saybrook Ford (1 Ford dr, old saybrook, CT 06475 (860) 388-1293). The dealer stated that there was no recall for the defect. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there was no recall for the defect. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 36,000.

The sunroof/moonroof shattered and exploded outward while the car was operated at ordinary speed on an interstate highway. The sunroof was not touched or struck in any manner. It was closed, and not in motion (it was not being retracted, etc. ).

Door ajar lights continuously show on when all doors are closed. My interior lights will not go off and impairs my vision at night. Also because the ajar warnings are on my doors will not lock. I try to manually lock them and they automatically unlock while im driving. Not good while I have my 4 children in the car!.

Windshield wipers will stay on intermittently even though the dial is turned to off. It will happen sometimes right when I start the vehicle, sometimes they will activate when I use a turnsignal or just out of the blue. I can usually get them to stop by turning the dial on and off a few times but lately that hasn't worked. Now that it's getting to summer I've had to resort to removing the fuse to make them stop. I have contacted the dealer with a list of how often this happens but they say they have never heard of this issue but will be more than happy to charge me $109. 00 per hour to diagnose the issue.

Traveling on interstate highway in rain storm, mid morning, windshield wipers on, instrument panel lights and headlights shut off. Pulled off highway and set headlight control to all four positions and all lights remained off regardless of control position. Shut engine off and restarted. Lights came on in all control positions. Set to auto function and returned to highway to go home. Still raining, windshield wipers on. Traveled approximately 20 miles when all lights shut off again. After reaching home, shut engine off. Restarted and lights work in all control positions. Will retest again with second driver to verify circumstances.

My wife was driving down the interstate yesterday, when the rear passenger door window shattered into pieces for apparently no reason. Thankfully no one was injured. Based on information found on the internet, this has happened with other Ford models and years as well. I have seen where NHTSA has investigated this similar issue with 2010-2011 Ford escape and Mercury mariner, but have not been able to find the results of the investigation. Carcomplaints. 2013 Ford Flex door ajar light stays on when doors are shut. Driver door and rear passenger door have the same issue. Dome lights stay on during initial reverse of vehicle causing zero visibility out rear of vehicle including side mirrors and rear view mirror. Multiple instances of near misses due to loss of visibility.

While driving on I-5 a heavy heavy rain was coming down and I had my wipers on the high setting and they worked for a little bit and then stopped moving at a high speed. While on the high setting they were going slower across the window then the continuous slow setting. I was unable to see and had to slow down and move over until my wipers could allow me to see properly. They continued this for the rest of my 150 mile drive moving slower on the high setting through the rain.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Flex. The contact stated that she was unable to adjust the driver's side-view mirrors. The contact stated that the plastic case surrounding the side view mirrors were melting due to the sun. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who did not determine a cause for the failure. 2019 Ford Flex back-up camera view is always upside and sometimes delayed or unavailable when the car is put into reverse. Software updates are current. The camera going out, delayed, and being upside down when backing up is definitely a safety issue. There are no longer wheel guidance lines available. The car is 5 years old and the camera worked for about the first two years. There were no warning signs for the problem. Thought a recall would be issued.
