Tl-the contact owns a 2003 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph the check engine light illuminated then the vehicle stall. The contact had to maneuver to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and the diagnosis was that the valve seat had fractured therefor cracking the engine block. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 114,000. Bp.
