I was driving my car and the engine started on fire. It ruined the entire engine. It was not overheating. All my fluids were full. I don't know why it happened.

The contact then took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who informed her that the engine mounts were defective and needed to be replaced immediately. Takata recall fuel line too close to exhaut it causes vehicle to stop running wait 15 -20 minutes and it will start and you can go until it does it again it is fine in winter but warm weather it does it all the time have tried to have fixed but still does it.
We bought this car used, after we got it we noticed the fuel gage was broke, there's something wrong with the brakes, and there are numerous other problems that worry me. We have small children to think about so the safety of this vehicle is very important. It has a good battery, but it's always dying after being driven. We have taken it to the dealer several times but they have yet to fix it. I don't know that there is anything you can do about this, but I'm desperate to try anything and anyone for help.

So idk every [xxx] year! for the last few years! it goes good then she starts acting funny boom battery light comes on. I use the voltmeter and everything's fine full charge same with the alternator. A week or so passed then the starter went out replaced 7/3/13!! wtf! fried put a new one in. Now my[xxx] clutch feels different don't know what it's not slipping but it's really smooth. 2 days go by and boom acts like the battery is dead. . Nope take key out get voltmeter it's at 12. 5 so I try again seems ok doesn't turn over. Again turn key all lights on seems ok nothing. . . . Ok 1 more turn key struggles like starter then lights flicker dash wacks out boom dead nothing!!!!! get out still 12. 5volts. I don't know try 1 more time I pumped the clutch ad it hesitated to turn over and boom it works!!!! get home. Turn it off all is well acts like nothing is wrong! 4 to 6 days again this time it did it 2 him just different. Here's the kicker!!!!! it's fine fully charged all lights ok all volts ok he pulls out ( ha ha pulls out!) then she idles irregularly like a loop higher loop get it home and keeps looping. So I remember this from like 5 yrs ago it was something with the maf or ecg I believe so I look for answers. . . . Now he goes out 4 hrs later nothing dead won't turn over won't do nothing!!!!! I hate this car!!!!! I swear I will find the [xxx] problem to this [xxx]!!!!! I can't believe this [xxx] car! she was so good now she's a lil [xxx]! I know it's something stupid as [xxx] and watch just like last year in August the [xxx[ clutch is going to go out again! I loved this car but from reading constantly I've decided this is a serious Ford issue!!!! My "engine light" has been "flashing" intermittently since the day I drove the car home brand new! this is a "misfire" code. It usually happens when under hard acceleration (like trying to pass a car). . . You can just imagine the "safety concerns" involved , when 7 out of 10 times I to try to pass a car. . . . . I get halfway by the vehicle. . . Then my car "misfires". . . . Loses all power. . . . And I coast back into position "behind" the vehicle I tried to pass!. . While I wait for the car to recover and start to run correctly again!. . . . If I didn't lose my position!. . Which has happened!. . . . My car has been "repaired" 4, going on 5 times for this same issue. . . . Each time I bring it to be fixed. . . It doesn't get fixed. . . Or as I was told on my first complaint, and my second complaint (there's nothing wrong). . . . The light continues to flash. . . . . My car has been sitting in my yard since January. . . After the last time they "fixed it". . . Cant even drive it now. . . . It didn't even make it home after the last repair!.
Car rev's up when coming to a stop and also will keep repeating that for about 2-3 mins. So far I have almost drove thru 3 intersections and ran into multiple cars and when I take it to the dealers all they have to say is they cant find anything wrong.
While driving the oil filter was damaged from driving on the highway. Took the vehicle to the dealer, and was told there was a hole in the filter. Ford service center told the consumer they were to busy to assist her, and for her to take the vehicle to a quick lube to have the repair done. Quick lube changed the oil, and gave the vehicle back. Somehow, this caused the steering to lock up, and Ford will do nothing to assist the consumer.
