When I accelerate from a stop the car shutters/jerks. Feels like strong tumble strips. Also almost like wheels are locking and trying to grip. I have been scared at I intersections as with hesitation the car doesn't have much power. Once it shifts (I have automatic) it's fine. Doesn't happen every time either.
Recall 18v735 was issued almost a year ago. However, Ford seems uninterested in correcting the issue. Safecar. Gov reports: "recall status: recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available. " I'm still waiting and waiting on a fix. , driving a potentially dangerous vehicle in the meantime.
Vehicle transmission stuttering while driving. Ac is out. Multiple electric issues.
I was driving down the road and my car battery light came on and I lost power to my gas and brake system. . . Before this every time I put gas into it . . . . It acts like going to stale.
This Focus has gave me nothing but problems . I've had it for almost 4 years in January. And it's left me stranded numerous times multiple trips to the delership lets not get started on how awful they are. I'm going to trade it in . Never will I buy another Ford !!.

The contact's son drove the vehicle to an independent mechanic where he was informed that the vehicle had a defective canister purge valve(cpv). The contact's son died instantly and the passenger was ejected from the vehicle through the windshield. . Another driver saw that the vehicle was in a ditch and called 911. When the authorities arrived, the passenger was air lifted to the hospital due to her injuries. The contact son was pronounced dead on the scene. I have a 2013 Ford Focus se. I bought it used at 84k miles from a dealership in February of 2019. First time I got gas after buying the car it had trouble starting afterwards. Had that fixed and it doesn't stall but the miles to empty reads incorrectly now. Also started making a grinding sort of noise when I'm going up slight inclines. When I go from a stop light or stop sign it shudders during accelerating. I was getting onto the highway and had to stop on the entrance ramp due to road work and almost couldn't get enough power to get onto the interstate. Currently this website is saying all of my recalls have been repaired.
We had transmission clutches replaced through recall. This did not fix problem. While driving, car will start flashing transmission error, hill assist error, breaking error , etc. . Then the car will stall. We have taken it to dealer 3 times now. This has happened on busy city streets and highway.
I just got the car from dealership with financing it, they didn't know notify me, that there was an unfixible recall!!! I am a single mom, it was my long way to getting a car, I want it be safe for me and my daughter, I don't, it won't even last 6 years, I am really upset!!!! please fix ingeen light pops on, hatchback opens, airbag is pff.
Vehicle shudders when I try to accelerate slowly from a stop sign or making a turn on to a street. Sometimes shudders when I am already moving but trying to speed up with traffic such as being on a highway. Also when im low on gas before it reaches e it completely shuts down. No gas light or shuddering. I had champion Ford in erie PA look into this but there was no code or anything to go by. Im not sure what to do. It has been happening frquently now but everyone I talk to says its hard to determine without a code, but what if my control module is messed up or something? I have 5 kids I transport everyday and worried that this can cause an accident if somethings not done?.
While driving down a busy road(m53) in michigan, the car lost power, got a message on the dash saying transmission overheating, pull over wait 5 minutes. Once it happened several times, I had taken it to the local Ford dealer. After $1200 repair, I investigated and found out about all of the issues with this transmission. Why would Ford not have done a better job at redesigning these or fixing them with millions of them on the road? we had just purchased this vehicle 2 days prior, unsure if was an ongoing issue with this vehicle.
I'm at the tail end of a buyback for multiple recall issues that seem to be unfixable. They had also replaced a week engine mount that is failing now they had to replace a safety recall for gas fuel. All of which in the past downtown Ford in sacramento did for free and now they are trying to charge me $1300 to fix the recalls and repairs that they had done without my knowledge. Since it was ordered to them by you guys. And now they are saying at future Ford of sacramento off of madison avenue that they will not fix it for free and that they are going to try and take it out of my settlement when theyare scam artists and are charging me way more than any part needs to be. And I'm also being lied to by Ford wrap who told me they were going to pay for the parts and they were also going to put me in a rental. All of which was a lie. I have lost hundreds of dollars in wages I've had a ton of pain and suffering from having to be lied to over and over again and thinking I am being helped when in fact all they're doing is trying to take my money and put me in a unsafe car that could've killed me or my loved ones multiple times because of their negligence and they are not being held liable.

I went back again to have the other recall items worked on, the manager said it was still a "no go," and I'd have to wait two months to get my unsafe car looked at. . .

I called washington Ford in washington, PA on 1/17/2019 regarding a check engine light due to Ford Focus recall (purge valve). They scheduled an appointment for 1/30/2019 to fix the recall. Took my car in on the eve of 1/29/2019 and dropped it off. They called me the following day to say they didnt have the part available. They instructed me to pick up my car and said they would call when part came in. I had an inspection scheduled for 2/7/2019 and they told me it would come in prior to my inspection. I never heard from them but called back a few times, telling them I had new codes coming up on my obd sensor (fixd) the car had been running rough, stalling out while idling/stopped. . They assured me it was safe to drive. They did not get part in by 2/7/2019 and I missed my inspection. Two new codes came up on my car and I called angrily on 2/14/2019 to ask if they need me to take car to a different location, and they told me they were just about to call me to tell me parts came in. . We scheduled for 2/22/2019 to have recall fixed. They told me rental cars aren't covered under this recall when I explained the problems with scheduling so many appointments and having difficulty finding other transportation. On 2/17/2019 my car shut off while driving, on a major road (route 40). I was able to coast down a side street and pull into driveway at the bottom of the hill. Had the dealership fixed the problem the day they originally scheduled me, I would have a working car. Now, I'm afraid more damage has been done, as there are 7 total codes on my obd sensor(there were 3 when I first called about recall). The dealership should have never scheduled me when they didn't have the right part in stock, or a rental car should have been provided until they corrected the problem. I'm very unsatisfied with the customer service level at this location!.
Takara recall my car is shifting weird the evap canister for fuel is clicking and my car is getting bad mpg my car clunks when going over bumps the front end clicks when you turn and feels like something might break I dont think the electrical system is working rite.
I took car to dealer back last year for a fuel problem recall and when I was taking car to dealer the car shuttered and died and I about hit the car in front of me. I called allen vigil Ford. They said they did the recall but they replaced clutch and now engine lights been on ever since. Before I picked it up the engine light was on and they took it back and tured out the light. Went two blocks it came back on. Took it back and they did it again same thing happened went 2 blocks and engine light came on. I left it for a few weeks and they called and said it was ready. I had my wife pick it up and got halfway how and engine light came back on. Been on ever since. I all so told them that when you put gas in it takes several minutes to re crank engine. I took car to another Ford dealer they tried to sell me another clutch. So I just don't know what to do now.
"takata recall" initially the car started shaking and making terrible noises. After parking it, the car would not go into reverse. It was towed to a "dealer" facility where they did some "repairs" on the transmission. . . . . $600. The car was transferred to me and I have experienced a loss of forward power several times. After a short wait period it will start. I have been involved in an accident. . . . . Pulled onto the 4 lane one way highway and lost power. . . . Bam . The car also has the "shudder" issue while idling. . It feels like the engine will stall.
Ford has declared a recall in October of 2018. As of January 22 2019, nothing has been remedied.
I bought the vehicle at 30,000 miles on it with a new transmission that Ford had to replace due to the faulty original one the car came with. A year after buying the car off a Ford dealership lot the transmission dies again at 70,000 miles. Two transmissions needing replaced in this vehicle and Ford won't pay to fix the transmission the second time. Even after they discovered the cause of the transmission breaking down the second time due to a part missing. I've had the car a little over a year. Ford is at fault and should pay to fix my car.
Stalling.

This regard the air purge valve recall for my Focus st. Have gone to the dealership several times and have been told that the part is not available and today I was told the software is not ready. This is hard to believe in view of how boeing has fixed the software for the 737 issue. There seems to be an indifference on fixing this and has cause issues is hesitation and almost stalling. I have managed to control this by manipulating the clutch which is probably not good. I am surprised that Ford has not expedited the fix.
Well have had nothing but problems with this car, but here is the latest. I was driving and the car started making noises and then it sputted like going to die out, and get really rough driving. I parked the car got to work, and when leaving it would not start. Battery is new, so not that. After about 4 tries it started up, this was wed. Then Friday, and on way home the engine light came on, as well as had issue starting. I just received this letter today, how odd and confirmed that there is a problem and not my imagination. I have grandchildren that I pick up from school and day care, and will not subject them to this unsafe car. Also, last week the gas gauge just went to 50 and it binged to let me know, I drove to the gas station nearby, and I rolled in. . Now see that gauge is also or could be wrong. . I am bringing it in and hoping you put me in a rental until this is fixed!~.
