The vehicle shudders from a compete stop or accelerating this has happened since purchase of the vehicle. Most recently the car will accelerate when driving or in worst cases while braking. The vehicle has ramped up to 6000rpm while braking going down hill. Upon contacting local Ford dealership about the unintended acceleration, they stated they had not heard of this issue before. Advised me to stop driving the vehicle and have it towed to their facility.

I have now had two major issues with my hybrid. The first was 5 months ago. My husband was driving the car on the interstate, when all of the sudden he lost power and the engen started smoking and make horrible noises. We had a rod thrown through the engine and had to replace it ($3200). Then on Friday morning I was driving to work on the interstate when I lost all acceleration and the hybrid warning system started going off. I had my mechanic look at it and he told me I will need to replace my transmission, he also said this is a know problem with the Hyundai sonata hybrids. It is about a $4000 replacement. Please help those of us that put our trust in this vehicle and are now paying for it.

My Ford Focus has been having electrical issues for several months now. I have asked Ford to look at my car and they stated it will be $150 to do that. I do not have the money. My major concern is the air bags. My light has been coming off and on and I do not think the air bags will employ. I have seen several complaints on your web site and online as well. Some cars have been in accidents and having the same issue and airbags did not employ. I am terrified this will happen and not save a life. I have an autistic 13 yr old that rides in the passenger side and myself are very concerned!. Also I have been following online a big issue with the electrical in the middle isle which controls the radio and airbags and whatever other warning lights and controls may be. My radio shorted out with loud popping and srcreehing nose then blew out. I think the electrical is all bad in the unit which may be effecting the airbags. Please I am asking for a very concerned safety concern to save a life regarding the airbags please look into a recall regarding this. I am not the first one tho complain about this. Thank you very much. I do have pictures with the airbag light on and off. It is not a push button! I can send pictures if you need them. I am able to do currently. Please let me know. Please help.
My vehicle makes a grinding sound like tge floor is going to fall out , my gas tell me im 50 miles untill empty and I run out also when I turn my car makes a like a screch sound and also shakes at the same time. My car is getting do hot its melting thr plastic and tire covers to where its rubbing on my tires. My vehicle does not want to catch spped seems like it wants to die.

Audio control module failure causing ear piercing noises at any random moment that totally disracts the driver. Attempt to file this safety concern was not accepted by ainsworth and lewis as it was not already on their listing. This was referred to as a cosmetic problem by lewis. It is my understanding this defect will not be taken seriously until several accidents are caused and many lives are lost due to this serious problem. No proactive activity within NHTSA whatsoever. If this is the way NHTSA conducts their operations, I strongly suggest a computerized application that will simply handle lewis and ainsworth's jobs. Taxpayers and concerned citizens are getting no value from these positions whatsoever.

Replaced transmission due to recall. Then their was a recall on the recall. Took car back stating the car still shutters and stutters. Supv stated you need to drive 2000 miles it will reset. Well here it is September. 2020 car is still stuttering and shuttering when coming from stop to acceleration causing a potential accident from car behind. What can I do. They brush me off every time I tell them this . When this happens I get a warning smooth driving saves fuel numerous times and will appear as driving on interstate and it's a smooth road. Car will decrease speed.
Takata recall everytime I take off in my car it jurks all the time like it was trying to catch to move into next year it jurks as I drive down the road and when I stop at a red light ,and a stop sign it jurks and then cuts of so I have to put the car in park to keep it from cutting off I have been on the side of the road 6 times because of this problem the gas meter stop working so I never knew how much gas I had in the car now I can not even drive the car because it has gotten worse want go into gear.
Had my Hyundai for about a year now. There are very serious issue with exterior lighting, brakes lights, rear lights. Break lighting assembly and wiring harness melts and burns to a black crisp, bulbs burst due to severe overheating during "normal operation" of the vehicle. Safety and fire hazard with rear tail light lap assembly, bulb burns extremely hot right through plastic housing unit. Unable to replace bulbs because lighting assembly melts to the socket's core and the socket melts over the bulb metal base. Expect extreme damage prohibiting replacement of any bulbs. After being pulled over repeatedly, informed exterior lights were even after just changing them. . Light bulbs burn hot rapidly, melt to the socket make it unable to get any replacement light bulbs to work because entire unit is then damaged, burnt and melted. Bulb will not fit because plastic unit has melted from circular to inward. Lights fail without the owner ever knowing until its too late. I've been parked at mall police officer informed me light was out, driving on highway pulled over 7 times given warning, repair orders due to lights out, pulled over on side street, road and lights just go out on highway. By the time bulb goes out its burned the entire unit through wiring, anything touching or around it. Change lights every 2, 3 weeks. When changing them I notice damage worsening, metal and bulb are burnt to a crisp. When I replace on side, a week or two later I have to change the other side. Creating a trickle affect. Once one goes out. Another goes out and so fourth. You literally have to replace the entire housing unit which is very expensive. Same repeats. . Did not work. My front exterior light are now out as of a week ago. Meaning I only have 1 working light. I went to the dealership and was told it would be 300 per side to get it fixed because I need new electrical wiring ! seriously !.

I'm at the tail end of a buyback for multiple recall issues that seem to be unfixable. They had also replaced a week engine mount that is failing now they had to replace a safety recall for gas fuel. All of which in the past downtown Ford in sacramento did for free and now they are trying to charge me $1300 to fix the recalls and repairs that they had done without my knowledge. Since it was ordered to them by you guys. And now they are saying at future Ford of sacramento off of madison avenue that they will not fix it for free and that they are going to try and take it out of my settlement when theyare scam artists and are charging me way more than any part needs to be. And I'm also being lied to by Ford wrap who told me they were going to pay for the parts and they were also going to put me in a rental. All of which was a lie. I have lost hundreds of dollars in wages I've had a ton of pain and suffering from having to be lied to over and over again and thinking I am being helped when in fact all they're doing is trying to take my money and put me in a unsafe car that could've killed me or my loved ones multiple times because of their negligence and they are not being held liable.
Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact was notified about NHTSA campaign number 18v735000 fuel system gasoline while driving at various speeds the accelerator pedal was applied but, the vehicle hesitated. Additionally, while adding fuel the contact detected a fuel leak. The tpms and windshield fluid low warning indicator lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to matthews Ford 175 e main st, norwich, NY 13815 (607) 334-3273 who stated that the remedy for recall 18v735000 fuel system gasoline was not available available. Where diagnosed that the clutch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted who referred contact to local dealer. The failure mileage was 65,000. Ap.

April 25 2019 to this day July 10th 2019 is when everything started breaking down out of nowhere, I'm going to work at 6am I notice my car starting up odd and so on my way to work I was getting on the high way as I was accelerating something happened in my car that made a loud noise and my car bucked as if it was having trouble trying to rev so I turned my emergency lights and managed to get to work by driving slowly and man was it a scare. I ended up leaving my car overnight at work and got it towed to a local mechanic saying my radiator was busted ($260 out my pocket), looked online to see about any recalls and saw I had a couple to be fixed and that's when I took it in to a local dealer Ford dealership and they supposedly fixed my car but when I got it back it was just as bad and I even started getting messages on my dashboard about my lid compartment being open making me get off on red lights to get out and close the trunk. Then my second time being stranded on my way to work, same thing starting off my car felt odd but this time I made it to work but as soon as I pulled into the parking lot my car had felt like it died and stalled right as I was parking and when I got off and locked my car it started making weird mechanical noises, that's when I had to get it towed the next day again but this time the mechanic told me it was my transmission module, so I go online again and see there is an extended warranty for my exact problem. So I take it in to the dealer so they can fix it but they turn out telling me I have a hole in my transmission and that they can't fix the problem even though it's due to the computer software malfunctioning causing it to break now the dealership is asking 2,000-5,000 to replace. I'm sick and tired to be honest I'm about to lose my job for going in late, I've paid a month already without even using the car I need help.
I recently bought a 2014 Ford Focus hatchback from elliott Chrysler Dodge Jeep in carthage texas not knowing I was buying a vehicle with a active safety recall. Was told buy the salesperson there was no recalls on the vehicle that they are required by law to fix them prior to selling it. And I was driving home 11 days after getting the car and it stalled out in the middle of the highway in the left lane and would not accelerate and the check engine light came on and I was almost hit by another vehicle. I sent the car back to the dealer you tried to give it back to me again telling me that they drove it the check engine light isn't on anymore and we looked up your website to see if the car had an active recall which it did. We refused to take the car back unless they fixed the recall. So they said they were sending the car to excel Ford in carthage texas. That they had called them and verify the recall in which we found out about the recall from the paperwork from the dealership giving us the website. The service tech called and said he called Ford verifying the recall and that the parts for fixing the recall we're on backorder and could take quite a while. A day later elliott Dodge of carthage called us back where we bought the car and said they had the car back the recall was fixed. Along with the piece of paper stating it was fixed but not how. And now a week later if that and the car stalled out again check engine light on and did the same thing it did before the recall was allegedly fixed. Once again nearly causing an accident when the car stalled and will not accelerate. I was just driving down the highway and it stalls check engine light flashes then stays on losing all power and will not accelerate.
I took my car in for a recall a few months ago also mentioning that it has been saying it's overheating and they gave my car back saying nothing is wrong and now I've been driving with my newborn daughter and all of the sudden my car wouldn't go past 65 & then after it started working again my battery goes out I thought it was because the gas light had been on and so I called aaa and had someone come down they put in gas and got it started but to my dismay I wasn't even able to make it home seeing as how my car could barely accelerate and again it shut off at first I was driving on the freeway and when I slowed down to stop at a light my battery symbol went on and then the car shut off & after I got it working again it was working and then it slowed and would let me press the brakes anymore and since the. It won't start.
I purchase a 2016 Ford Focus today and there's one open recall on my vehicle. The takata recall and I would like for this issue to be fixed because it sounds dangerous from the research I did on the recall. Plus I have my 1st car wreck a couple months ago and my car was totaled out. I have a called the dealership I bought my car from. They are refusing to help me. My transmission is going out on my car. That I've had for 1 year. I've had my car looked at 4 times. But the issue wasn't fixed. This car isn't safe for me to drive. I want this fixed.
While accelerating either uphill or at speeds above 45 the car will begin to shake. I was told to fix my camber and toe bars to alleviate the shaking of the car, my struts, and to replace my tires. Neither of these solutions have helped this.
Bought 2012 Ford Focus on 3/2016. 5/2016 took back to dealership for stuck window d/t bad motor and reprogramming of transmission control module. 7/2016 car would not start at all, completely stalled out. Took to Ford dealership again. . . Transmission computer/module replaced. 12/2018 car stalled yet again and steering would not work nor would shifter. . . Transmission garage stated they fixed issue. 8 hours later, the car would not run at all. Transmission place refused to touch the car again. Called original dealership and ofcourse, they replaced the transmission control module. And expect us to pay for it again this time! plus the dealership will not replace car until most recent recall is fixed on it. Like hell will I put my 2 children and husband back in this car with the chance of it to stall again and crash. We reside 40 miles away from work so a total of a 1/2 tank of gas at one time is not feasible in western new york weather. 5 transmission problems and how many recalls later and Ford motor company will not do anything to make their wrongs right.
On my 2012 Ford Focus fuel consumption has decreased also once the car gets passed a half tank the fuel volume gauge is not correct the car actually runs out of fuel what's the last quarter of a mark which appears to still have fuel, also front end drivetrain makes loud noise when turning corners, engine will not crank at times and makes funny sounds under the hood electrical sounds. Battery positive lead wiring gets hot . Car will not start ,blower fan doesn't work and car runs hot, after being replaced 12/05/2019.
Overheating.
Harsh jerking and shuddering when accelerating. Ford has a recall on the transmission for this problem, yet they refused to fix mine because its 65000 miles. Was never told about this when I got the car (~35000) - would have fixed sooner if I was. Got clutch replaced months ago, fixed this for a little, now the problem is back.
Over the last 4 months my Ford Focus has completely ran like shit the car bogs out cuts off due to the fuel and cluster jam and it's caused my clutch or transmission to throw codes.
While driving dashboard lights and gauges turn off radio turns on and off and unable to operate or turn off it stays on with extremely loud static. Cars turns off while in motion on a highway and street. We pushed it to safety then attempted to turn it back on and it did. Today we took it to a Ford dealer the rep hooked it up to the diagnostic machine no problem was was found. Then later that day it did it again. We took it back now they say its the computer system that controls computer programming for the car. Granted they had not hooked it up to the diagnostic machine and the cost would $800. This car is not even 6 years old this is a big concern /liability when you have the dash lights and gauges, the radio turning off and on . The car is shutting off in mid motion. I called Ford today the rep said nothing we can do no other reports about those symptoms have been reported. Yes the rep said symptoms. But other reports have been made on blog chats. Same or similar issues. I have major concerns when a car is shutting down whe driving that is definitely something to worry about. 2012 Ford Focus cost $21000. 00 6 years old needing minor repairs wear and tear understandable tire $50 windshield wipers $30 etc electrical computer programming major repair big problem since potentially your car can shut down in the middle of a highway and you a can cause an accident or worse die. $800 is a lot of money to get a repair done for 6 year old car.
The car is own 3 years old and I have already replaced the fuel emission valves, the cooling system, and now the unaffordable transmission control, catylattic converter, and transmission clutch have gone out to where my car wont change speeds while on the highway, nor reverse.

Car started stuttering power with in 3 months of having it. Jerks and hesitates when accelerating. Clutch assembly has been replaced 3 times. Car only has 30,000 miles. Sept of 2018 while crossing bridge without any warning car just stopped in mid drive! very scary! towed to Ford. Was charged for some malfunction??!! car is still shuttering and has difficulty getting to speed. Filed complaint with Ford back in 2016 that I didn't feel car was safe. No response! after this last incident I am afraid to drive very far for fear it will just stoop running mid drive. Avoid all highways because of this.
While sitting still my gas hand went from 1/2 a tank of gas to the full mark. Filled it up even though the gas hand was on full mark. It took $20 to fill it up and for it to kick off. Then when I started to start my car I hand to turn the key twice to get the motor started and then after I took my hand off the key it kept on cranking as if trying to start although it was already running. I drove it to lexington and could feel it revving the motor up without me doing anything. I turned around and drove back to frankfort and took it to big o's. They put a handheld tester on it and said it was either the oxygen sensor or converter for the engine light that was on. I informed them that I had replaced the O2 sensor just 3 weeks ago. He test drove it and said it revved up on him also which he said something was going wrong in the transmission. When I left from there the lights came on by themselves, the check engine light was on, and the gas hand was still past the full mark. On 9/7/2018 although it said the tank was full my fuel light came on. It also quit on me on 9/7/2018 going down a hill and I had to pull over for a while before it would start back up so I could get home. There was a recall on the tcm valve which has been replaced twice and the clutches in the transmission which has been replaced twice.
Takata recall amongst the known recalls, is a lot of unsaid issues with this vehicle. It started with the tcm. When I had the dealer fix it, the codes were showing ok but the vehicle continued to display the same issues when trying to accelerate. For some reason when driving, it seems as if I'm driving a manual vehicle instead of a automatic. The clutch is giving me problems. It tend to get stuck in the hill assist mode. A few weeks ago my car just died. It seemed to be the battery. When replaced it was ok for a day or so. I had it checked to see if my alternator was bad. It both places stayed it was fine. Periodically it would stop. It didn't seem like there where any determining factors on when (like cold or hot weather). So I drove it less. One day when driving, going 46 mph, it just shut down. The screen showed �not in park�, starting system fault and it would not allow me to place the vehicle in neutral. It then began to start and stop whenever. The grounds were checked, the starter, the alternator, the fuse and orhers. My horn would sometimes go out for days, up to weeks. When trying to start the car, it would eventually flash �normal mode�. It's so many things going on here! I fear all the time with this car. When the tcm started acting up, it stopped while driving too. I'm a mother of 5, I've has this car for 4 years as for the past 2yrs I've been living in fear of my children and I dying in this car. I've spent more money buying rentals and having others assist with transportation when this car acts up, I could've paid half of my last 2yrs off. This is not fair because everyone doesn't have the ability to just get up a go trade in a car or walk away. I've been having different problems for over 2 yrs now but when it shut off while driving on the highway, it was in the beginning of September 2018 (this month) it got worst and I had it towed to the dealer.
I was driving away from my boyfriends house heading to the interstate 95 . As I was driving I noticed white smoke coming out of the dashboard, I the car around and headed back to my boyfriends house, I put the car in park and jumped out, my boyfriend came outside and he was able to put the fire out.
Engine temperature sensor malfunctions and says engine is overheating when it is in fact not as well as when it is.
My vehicle started shaking during acceleration jump during deceleration. Check engine light came on and also transmission failed warning. Vehicle stopped changing into final gear and prolonged other shifting so to 3500rnpir more. These actions occurred on regular streets and highway as well.
I was making a right hand turn on a city street at approximately 20 miles per hour when the steering got very heavy, the abs and traction control lights illuminated, a message on the dash started that hill start assist was deactivated and the speedometer stopped working. When I pulled over, the car would not shut off when I pushed the start/stop button. The car is currently at the dealership undergoing diagnostic testing. I think it may be an abs sensor that came loose behind a wheel.
Vehicle completely died while driving. Replaced battery vehicle starts but shuts right off on its own. Vehicle also started on its own with keys just in the on position.
