Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Ford Freestar. The contact stated that on driver side air you can hear pieces rolling around in the air bag cover. The vehicle was not diagnosed by the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure mileage. Rwk.

2 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/08/2009

Driver side air-bag did not react to crash but passenger side did.

3 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2008

The contact owns a 2005 Ford Freestar. The contact stated that while traveling 65 mph, the rear passenger side tire failed, which caused both curtain and passenger side air bags to deploy erroneously. The driver sustained minor bruises to the face from the air bag deployment. The tire was replaced and the airbags were cut. The vehicle was later taken to a dealer where it was confirmed that the air bag sensor failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the issue. The failure mileage was 58,000 and the current mileage was 181,000.
