Tl- the contact 2006 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at 20 mph, the passenger frontal air bag deploy without impact. The air bag warning light illuminated. The contact sustained arm, leg and eye injuries that required medical attention. The front passenger also sustained face, chest, leg and eye injuries but did not required medical attention. The vehicle was driving to the contact residence and was later taken to baytown Ford dealer, located at 4110 I-10, baytown, TX 77521, (855) 760-2180, where it was diagnosed but the contact was not aware of the diagnostic failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 204,789. Aw.
Tl- the contact's mother owns a 2006 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the passenger air bag warning light had remained illuminated both when occupied and unoccupied. He stated the failure had began soon after he had the takata airbag replaced in the vehicle. The contact had initially taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where they determined that the airbag was defective and needed to be replaced. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to simi valley Ford(2440 first st, simi valley, CA 93065) where it remained in their possession due to NHTSA campaign number:19v904(service brakes, hydraulic); however the parts remained unavailable. The contact also stated that he had experienced multiple brake failure due to the brake recall. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000. Jo.
Tl-takata recall. The contact owns a 2006 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The contact received the recall notification in August of 2016. The dealer (galpin Ford, 15505 roscoe blvd, north hills, CA, 91343) stated that the parts were unavailable for the repair. The manufacturer was also contacted and confirmed that the parts were unavailable for the repair. And that they would received a letter to inform when the parts were made available. The contact mentioned that the air bag warning light was illuminated and that the passenger of that seat is a senior and unable to sit in the rear. The manufacturer informed the contact that the dealer would be able to provide a loaner vehicle, however the dealer informed the contact its up to the manufacturer. The dealer stated that they could diagnose the vehicle for the light but it was not diagnosed due to the diagnostic fees. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Jb.
I was sent a letter about the passenger airbag needing replaced. I had this done September 2012 because the warning light was on. Do I get a refund since I already had to take care of it.
