1 Trunk Lid problem

Failure Date: 04/25/2010

The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. While parked, the contact was removing items from the trunk when the hydraulic cylinder malfunctioned causing the trunk to fall; the contact was slightly injured as a result. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The VIN was unavailable when the complaint was filed. The current and failure mileages were approximately 35,000.

2 Trunk Lid problem

Failure Date: 10/04/2007

Ford Fusion 2007: center brake light blocks the driver's rearward field of vision. The car already has a very high trunk lid. Placing the brake light just above the trunk, in the rear window, manages to block out any car directly behind - upward to 50 feet behind the car. The light should be mounted at the top of the rear window or at the top of trunk, just above the the bumper and integrated into the trunk lid. *updated 12/12/07.
