1 Automatic Transmission problem

The contact owns a 2008 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that when putting the vehicle into reverse, the vehicle jerk violently and made an abnormal sound. The contact mentioned that the wrench warning icon illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 61,000 and the current mileage 61,374.

2 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 07/26/2011

The contact owns a 2008 Ford Fusion. While driving at approximately 50 mph, the contact heard a clunking sound. The sound was noticeable at different speeds. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The mechanic stated the transmission mounts had disintegrated and the motor mount had fractured causing damage to the the cv joints. The motor mount , transmission mount and cv joint had to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 99,000.
