The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that sporadically when the accelerator pedal was pressed, the vehicle will not accelerate. The contact stated that there are also instances when the vehicle would abnormally accelerate without the pedal being engaged. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the throttle body and cable would need to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and advised that the throttle cable and body were not under warranty. The failure mileage was 30,000 and the current mileage was 47,000.
