Assist Problems of Ford Fusion

Randomly 'service advance trac', 'pre-collision assist not available', lane assist not available', power assist steering not available', hill assist not available', warning lights appear. When they do I completely lose power steering. Which is extremely dangerous while driving. Most the time I can turn off and restart the car and it goes away. However, now it has become more frequent and has started losing complete power of the car turning off while driving. I almost died on the interstate. Ford dealerships only recommendation was a new circuit board that was like $5k, more than the car is worth. They said it was something common with the Ford Fusions, thats why they were quit being made. I researched and it is a common issue, but no recalls have been made???!!???.

Car suddenly would have power but no start. After replacing what was thought needed replacement, the alternator is when it wouldn't steer anymore. Further inspection concluded it was the electrical rack and pinion, leaving no steering and or assist.

Constantly with this specific vehicle, especially with the lane assist. The vehicle continuously jerks either left or right even within the green parameters of the lane, especially when doing a slight turn on the highway. When it is raining the vehicle Smart as go offline an cannot read the lane or the vehicle in front of it. When I first purchased the vehicle after driving for less than a year I had to take the vehicle in because the engine was warped. Constantly when I’m the vehicle the apple car play system would either freeze or the screen would go black.

I have had this issue twice now. The vehicle says shift sensor fault or shift sys fault or something. The bushing on the transmission has failed for the 2nd time. Both times stopping me from being able to drive my vehicle to be able to get to my place of employment.

Steering fault. Service now. Message came on. Power steering gone completely.

The lane keep assist does not work basically , it can't detect the lines , due to the recall I can't charge my car which I paid much more than regular Ford Fusion. To be able to use the electric miles and save on gas , also the 3g modem stopped working and Ford has no fix for that , took it to different dealers and they say even if I replace the old modem with a new 4g, (paying out of my own pocket !!) most likely the app and remote connection will not work .

Power steering failure in parking lot. Steering did not return to center like normal after turning, shortly after while pulling into parking spot the power steering failed. Power steering reset tried and failed. Computer reset tried and failed, vehicle has no power steering or lane keeping capabilities.

My Ford Fusion 2013 has been running smoothly until I parked today outside usps to mail a package but while trying to back up later , my steering wouldn't move . Engine light was on with steering assist fault note .

When I turn the car on, 3 warnings appear on the dash: "front camera malfunction", "pre-collision assist no available", "lane keeping malfunction check". These features seem to work when I'm driving, but when I took the car into Ford, they told me the image processing module needs to be replaced.

There was a safety recall for the 2011 Ford Fusion, however, I put my VIN into Ford's system to access the power steering assist failure recall, and it does not come up. The 2011 Ford Fusion and other years were recalled by Ford, yet it doesn't show for my car. I need this repair completed, as this vehicle is unsafe in its current state. I was driving the vehicle on the city streets and the highway, it lost all steering control. I was in fear of my life. I could barely turn the steering wheel and had to maneuver two lanes of traffic to come to a stop. I have not had the car for long, yet it sits in the garage because it is unsafe and undriveable. I need to know why my 2011 Ford Fusion is not covered. Ford knew about the faulty steering racks in these vehicles and refuse to repair or offer a remedy for some of the same model year vehicles.
