Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated that it was discovered that the lug nuts were swollen and weak. The contact stated that the failure existed and that the tires had to be replaced four times. The tire dealer stated that the contact needed to bring in a new set of lug nuts to replace the defective set when the tires were replaced. Felix sabates Ford (7601 south blvd, charlotte, nc 28273, (704) 552-2760) stated that the lug nuts had a cap that was welded on the top lug nuts themselves that was swollen causing the defect. The manufacturer was contacted and provided the contact a case number. The failure mileage was 61,000.
