Software Problems of Ford Fusion Hybrid

Had car 1 year with no issues, now all of a sudden the sync 3 navigation system keeps breaking. Started with getting a no gps symbol in the bottom left corner of the navigation window. Now sometimes it effect the radio, phone and climate systems by reacting really slow to any commands, if it does anything at all. You can push a button and wait over a minute for a command to be executed sometimes. Other times, get in car, everything is fine, but eventually the no gps symbol will come back on, and all accessories will work fine, other times they go into slow motion. Took to dealer at 13 months and approx. 15k miles, they said it needed at software update. Worked great until we got home and the no gps symbol came on as we reached home. Took back in, they said it needed a new computer brain for that system, but its on national backorder. It ended up coming in a week later, took car in 2 weeks later and everything was fast again and working in dealer parking lot as we set up the controls for phone, etc again. Next morning, the no gps symbol came on again. Later that day, radio would not respond to buttons pushed or commands through voice from steering wheel controls. Next day, still same problems with gps. Have yet a fourth appointment to take it in now, (first was software upgrade, second to say it needed new computer, third to replace computer, now fourth because its still not working) getting fed up with paying all this money for the top of the line fusion energi and having this issue that is still not fixed and having to keep taking it in.

On two occasions after starting the car electronics on steering wheel and console failed to work! no blinkers, to cruise control, no console control. One time speedometer didn't work. Error box appears in left computer screen and does not go away after pressing ok button. I was able to reset system by turning high beam forward twice than backwards once. I believe the turn signal stock is faulty. I was on the highway one time when I discovered the blinkers where not working. Could of caused a accident! only have 40,000 miles on car. Took it to the Ford dealer and showed manager and agreed software problem. No trouble code came up on scanner.

The brakes suddenly became ineffective and required a lot of pressure to bring the car to a stop. The braking light system came on when this happened. When the car was turned off on again it seemed to reset itself. I tried to get the brake software updated by frontier Ford in santa clara and they would not do it without charging me. They said it was out of warranty and it was not covered. This is despite the fact that this problem has been covered in the past and there have been many complaints about it.

My 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid had 11,000 miles on it. I opened my garage door and got in to go to work and car was dead. No electrical response. Called Ford road service and car was dragged out of my garage and onto a flat bed and taken to my dealership. Car has been in shop for a week now and still no diagnosis. No matter what they do, the car is drawing power when it is turned off and kills the battery in 2 hours. They are working with Ford system wide and no one has seen this type of fault yet. To me it seems to be some kind of software fault but per Ford troubleshooting, they have to tear my car apart and check every wire and fuse before looking at the software issues. This is my first hybrid and I am questioning my decision.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated that the power steering assist failed. The contact also stated that the power steering and advance trac warning light illuminated. As a result, the contact had to use excessive force to maneuver the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician diagnosed that the software needed to be updated. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 65,109.
