I purchased this car from trent family auto on may 2, 2024. On September 11, 2024 the engine failed. While working on replacing the engine I found an open recall. This is safety related and was never mentioned to me by the dealership. So aside from selling me a bad "as is" they sold me an unsafe vehicle. A vehicle my family has ridden in several times since the purchase. In regard to the recall when I reached out to them about the engine replacement cost they stated recalls can only be taken care of by manufacturing dealerships. Shouldn't they have some ownership to inform customer buying an unsafe vehicle there is an open recall? thank your for checking into this matter.
Body control module. It gets wet when it rains because of an engineering mess up. It shorts out my lights. Sometimes it can't get out of car because it messes with the locks and windows. Can't use my electric mirrors anymore. Instead of being a much needed recall they decided to not even make replacement bcm. It is a problem everything it gets wet that should have been recalled and fixed. At least a thousand other incidents of this happening to others.
I just bought this the floor board is totally soaked I have read this soaking wet I have read this is a serious issue for long time to eye the wiring shorts out as been why is this not on a renal list to bed serious issue.
While driving home just as I was switching lanes, the car sputtered badly and a wrench light appeared on dash. Since then, the car did not exceed 20 miles per hour. As I conducted research, a lot of Mustangs have this issue and it is theorized to be the throttle body.
Just got it don't know what's wrong with it.
I was pulling out of work onto a busy street when car went into idle mode because of the throttle body drive by wire system. There was no indication anything was wrong or about to go wrong. God was really looking out for me on this particular day because the cars that were on this busy road wasn't in a hurry like they normally are and I avoided a (t-bone)collision. It really scared me and I haven't drove the car anymore and it's for sale. I thought it should be reported and I will tell whoever buys the car what happened upfront. I'm not willing to risk it doing the same thing again. I switched the key off and started the car back up and drove it 40 miles home without any problems and it will never be driven by me again.
I just purchased a 2005 Ford Mustang. The past owner gave me a letter NHTSA recall 16v-384. How do I let someone know to contact me when the parts come in?.
The 2005 to 2009 Mustangs (all of them) have a water intrusion problem presented as a design flaw in the engine firewall that leaks water onto the Smart junction block causing random electrical systems failure including the loss of engine ignition, loss of all systems, etc. In my case, the intrusion of water caused a sudden and complete loss of all systems. Discovered a day after heavy rain. There are thousands of reports of this on the web and the dealer admits it is a design flaw and known problem.
The instrument cluster in my 2005 Ford Mustang are starting to fail. So far fuel gage and tach our inopertable. I have researched the internet and found that alot of Mustang owners are having the same issue. Why has this not been a recall since they know they have a stepper motor issue in the instrument clusters.
I'm still waiting for my takata recall part. It's been years!.
Entire instrument cluster stopped working except for digital readout. The interior floods with water when it rains.
Typical paint peeling on 2005 Ford Mustang hood.
Water is coming from under the dash board when it rains and causing a big flood in my vehicle,.
I bought this car used . Had only 35,000 miles on it 3 yrs ago. A year in a half ago I notice on front end of hood paint looked bubbly. Didn't think anything of it, cause it was a very small area. Now it is getting worse. I was told that it was rust. How is this possible?.
I have this bubbling/ peeling of paint on the hood right where the hood starts to wrap under in the front of the car towards the engine. Theres a TSB out on this but why should Ford owners pay for Fords mistake and I also seen a lot of forums with others having the same problem.
I own a 2005 Mustang gt, v8. Three weeks ago my speedometer stopped working on a three hour trip. Upon starting the car the next day it appeared to work fine. However, that did not last long. In trips around town I could not really tell if it was working properly. On a four hour trip in the mountains of virginia the speedometer was acting up again. While driving what I thought was 70 mph {the cruise was set} I was stopped by a state highway patrol who first clocked me at 80 mph but when I passed him he clocked me a 84mph. He was in plain view so I was not concerned as the speed limit was 70. As anyone that owns this car knows it drives and handles so great you don’t realize you are going that fast. After this I took my car into the dealership. I was told they must replace the instrument cluster. Cost to repair $650+. After reading other reports it appears Ford has a problem with the 2005 Mustangs. This is a serious problem and will eventually cause a death or serious injury. The Mustang has always been known for its integrity; therefore, Ford should do the right thing and do a recall for this problem before they are in the news for deaths, injuries, lawsuits, etc ruining the name of the finest sports car in history. My Mustang only had 51,020 miles on it when this started three weeks ago.
I was driving down the road at the speed limit when all of a sudden the engine light came on and the car immediatly stalled. I had to pull over to the shoulder and put my hazards on so I didn't get hit from behind or cause a dangerous accident to the other motorists. I turned off the car, left the hazards on and waited a few minutes before starting it up again. It started thankfully and I was able to pull into a parking lot safely to avoid an accident. Very frightening experience. Eventually someone was able to come and help me get my car home. We believe that the incident had something to do with the defective throttle body, and throttle body sensor. Ford should have recalled this problem and pay for their faulty parts. This car is a 2005 Ford Mustang convertible with a v6 engine.
Tl-the contact owns a 2005 Ford Mustang. The contact stated under the floor mat on the passenger side of the vehicle was leaking water. The vehicle was take to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 160,000. Aw.
The instrument cluster is displaying incorrect information for the speedometer and for the engine temperature. The sensors are working correctly based on a reading from the obd ii port.
One incident, driving home from work when car ran out of gas and saw the as gas guage indicator facing straight down, temperature guage and the tachometer was not working. The car ran out of gas on major high way and my daughter alone stuck on the road at 3 am with large trucks passing by. She had believed the car had plenty of gas. The guages are still not fixed properly do not work at 100777 miles.
After one cleaning of rear window the defroster stopped working. Car has only 20,860 miles on it. Mostly garaged. Now beyond warranty of 36 mos/36 miles. Grid is defective and was before warranty expired and was not discovered until afterwards. Ford refused to fix.
