1 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2016

Cluster with odometer gauge, hot/cold gauge, sometimes gas gauge are all showing wrong information. The speed odometer will be showing 80 miles or more when you are only driving 45. This is very common problem on Mustang 2005 as I have read on many forums. I have had this problem from last year but I had no way of knowing where to complain because this is safety issue, I have no idea how fast I am going or when I will be out of gas. I hope more people know where to report these issues so the Ford company can recall or make better lasting products.

2 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 08/30/2016

I purchased my 2005 Ford Mustang v6 automatic transmission in July of 2016. At the time of purchase everything seemed to be working fine but about a month later I noticed the fuel gauge was sitting at e so I attempted to fill it thinking I had an empty tank which meant I should have been able to put 14-16 gallons in and as I was refueling I noticed it kept shutting off even though I had just started the pump eventually I got it filled and only put in about 6 gallons which I thought was odd but I went with it and got back in my car started it up and noticed that the gauge was still sitting at e at that point I knew something was wrong but I figured it could wait since I knew how far I could potentially go on a full tank but then after I left and headed for home I noticed that my speedometer said I was going 60 but everyone was blowing past me at least 10mph faster when the speed limit was 60. So I pulled over and noticed that at a stop the speedometer came to rest at 35mph I was able to fix it but it kept happening I was lucky enough that I didnt get pulled over because I had no idea how fast I was going. Then for a while that stopped happening but every now and then and at an increasing rate the engine keeps stalling like its not getting enough fuel when I stop at an intersection or stop sign even though I had just filled the fuel tank the day before and hadn't driven more than 50 miles. The mileage at the time of the incidents beginnings was ~24,000 miles the current mileage is 34,000 as of 5/15/17.

3 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2015

The instrument cluster located inside the vehicle stopped reading properly. At first I was not able to read my rpm's gauge as it was showing I was idling at 3,000 which was incorrect as I can hear my engine. Then my oil gauge began reading past full. Both of those issues fixed themselves (unsure of how or why) and then my speedometer gauge went bad. Now the needle is pointing straight down regardless of how fast or slow I am going. This is a danger to myself on the road as I cannot gauge my speed. This is an issue that others with the same model and year of my car are experiencing and should be fixed with a recall.

4 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 08/20/2014

First the speedometer stopped working or would hang up, then the fuel gauge stopped working and now all the guages have stopped working.

5 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 07/08/2014

2005 roush Mustang gt sport. Manual transmission. Only 24,000 miles. Collector condition. Instrument cluster issue. Tachometer stopped working. Fuel gauge intermittent. Temperature gauge intermittent. Speedometer still working.

6 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 06/12/2013

My car shows erratic needle movement and gauges are reading over heat 0 miles per hour while moving and sticks at 120 mph after use and is parked. Gas meter is off, odometer is off, it's very scary to drive and expensive. Already dealt with the water leak issue form passenger side. Cluster panel is broken I believe. Bad dash board. Hundreds of forums explain same issues on going years on new models. Not safe or fair for Ford to not address this death trap.

7 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 01/03/2012

I was driving home. The road was wet. Because of this, I relied on my speedometer to make sure I am going a bit slower than my speed limit. I did not noticed until I had to hit my brakes to avoid a stray dog. My car skidded; I was going faster than what the gauge was saying (which is lower than actual speed) since I had to stop abruptly, another car rear-ended me. Ever since then, the gauge is all over the place, below 0 above one hundred. . . This could have cost another life, if not mine.

8 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 08/02/2011

My 2005 Mustang rpm gauge has quit working. After researching online of this issue I found that this is a known issue with Mustangs. Can you please let me know who I need to contact to get this item under a recall item that mandates Ford to fix the issue.

9 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 06/14/2011

Was driving the car and the gas gauge started acting weird. Stopped and filled up the car and after starting the car the gauge went all the way past 'e'. Shortly after that the speedometer started sticking. I could be at a stop light and it would show I was going 20 mph. Usually turning the car off and back on would get the speedometer to go down. The higher the speed said the more you had to turn it off and on since it only went down a little at a time. Now the gauge is stuck at 80 mph and doesn't move at all. The tachometer is also messing up now. It will vary from being too low to being too high to being just right.

10 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2010

I own a 2005 v6 Mustang. The speedometer stoped working properly at 75k miles. Most of the time it stays at zero mph and then others it is all over the place. Now my oil gauge seems to get stuck on cold mornings and I also noticed that temp gauge doesn't work sometimes. What is going on with this vehicle. I have read numerous complaints online about the same issue other 2005 Mustang owners are having. I have never had this happen to any other vehicle I have ever owned, and I believe that this is an iherant issue with the year and model. Ford should do a recall and fix this problem. I am asking for the Ford company to pick up the tab on this one before something happens and someone get's hurt. The speedometer malifunction could mislead driver's of speed and cause an accident. Ford want to charge $1k to fix the issue that obviously a flaw with the car model. Please help! mileage: 81,729.

11 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 09/09/2010

Speedometer, tachometer, temp , and fuel gauges fail intermittebtly. Guages get stuck or provide false readings.

12 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2010

The cluster electrical gauge panel has slowly stopped working. First the speedometer started spinning over 360 degrees, then the tachometer went, followed by the temperature gauge, and now intermittently the oil pressure gauge. On-line research suggests this is a frequent issue mainly involving the 2005 Mustang year. Ford has refused issue a recall and has declined to fix the problem once the vehicle has passed the warranty period (the issue almost always develops after the warranty period expires). Ford has charged some an exorbinant $800 fee to fix the panel. Obviously, it is an issue driving without a speedometer, temperature gauge, and oil pressure gauge (the tachometer nonwithstanding). To have a major electrical system issue in a stastically significant number of vehicles of the same make and same calendar year seems to warrant more integrity on the part of Ford in admitting a technical flaw and graciously offering to repair it.

13 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 06/13/2009

Speedometer gauge does not work it started to get stuck now it does not work. To my consideration it is dangerous not to know the speed you are going. Also the fuel gauge is not working.

14 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2009

My tachometer fail a few years ago. When I took it to the dealer, he said all Mustang gauges fail and to be happy it wasn't the speedometer. Slowly over time all the electrical has been having problems. Sometimes the car won't start, all the gauges stop working, the check engine light goes on and off for no reason. Also the driver seat electrical failed, was replaced and failed again. I couldn't afford to have it fixed.
