P0463 fuel sending unit and fuel gauge.
Fuel gauge not working properly. . . . Showing erratic setting. . . Empty. Took car to the shop and they said it was the gas that contaminated a part. . . . Note: the gas I use is what Ford recommends. . Bp. No parts replaced. 2nd time I was told the same thing without even looking at it!! note:incident date is marked with a guess date. . Has happened so many times I forgot.
On 2006 Mustang gt, experienced erratic fuel gauge reading once fuel level dropped below 1/2 tank. Experienced failure during initial start of vehicle for the day. Approx. 3/8 tank available when vehicle turned off previous night. Gauge read "e" with "0 miles to empty" on digital display.
