Side/window Air Bag problems of the 2007 Ford Mustang

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph the driver side airbag erroneously deployed causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a concrete wall. During incident the driver sustained an injured right arm which required medical treatment. A police report was taken at the scene and the destroyed vehicle was towed away. The manufacturer and local dealer (unknown) were notified of the failure. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 102,000. Jft.

I had both driver & passenger side airbags replaced at bob swope Ford in elizabethtown, ky 42701. The last one being done on the passenger side in March 2019. I have been getting these notifications that say I haven't had it done. I called bob swope Ford and they acknowledge that it has been done and they can't do anything about it. I have been telephoned and I have told them where I had it done and I am still getting notifications. Can someone please help me resolve this issue?.

Takata recall - safety recall notice 16s26/NHTSA recall 16v-384. I received notice that parts are now available to repair the passenger side air bag of my vehicle. However, I have called two different Ford dealers and they both claim that repairs cannot be made because no parts are available at this time.

Takata recall, passenger side airbag could rupture in an accident killing my passenger. My passenger is going to be someone I love so the law suite will be severe. This is a well known problem that has been going on for years! not having a solution to the problem yet is not acceptable.

Takata recall. I have the issued recall form Ford for the passenger side airbag and have contacted the dealer multiple times to have it replaced but they allways tell me no parts are available. I am trying to find out when I can have the vehicle repaired or will I allways have an unsafe vehicle that cannot be fixed even though a recall has been issued?.

Ford has not made the repairs to my vehicle to comply with the passenger side airbag recall issued over a year ago, even though I have attempted to schedule the repairs multiple times.

It has been over a year waiting for parts from takata. My dealership says that as of today 11/6/2017 parts are not available to complete the repair. The passenger side airbag is the one affected. My dealership says that they do not have a timeframe available to estimate parts availability. I was told to simply wait. And when a letter arrives to bring my car in.

Takata recall, NHTSA recall number 16v384: passenger side airbag requires replacement. Received 1st notice on June 1, 2016. As of today, oct. 31, 2017, no new part is available according to my local Ford dealership.

Takada recall - in response to the notice I received from takada on oct, 25, 2017, I contacted power Ford in albuquerque, nm, as instructed to schedule repairs to the passenger side airbag. The service manager, brian dunn, was honest in informing me that he had no reasonable expectation that parts were going to be available anytime in the near future for them to make the repairs. What remedy do I have?.

I have a car that has a safe driver's side airbag, but a dangerous passenger side air bag. Aren't my passengers worthy to be safe also? why is it taking soooo long to ensure the passenger air bag won't injure or kill my passengers? NHTSA database on my VIN states the recall is there. . . But can't be fixed???? why ??? they were able to fix the driver's side.

Takata recall dear sirs, the takata airbag recall has been in effect for our 2007 Ford Mustang for nearly 8 full months. The driver side airbag was replaced in a timely manner but not the the passenger airbag. Every time I receive one of these NHTSA recall notices like the one I received today, I repeat the VIN number check, it is verified, I call the Ford deal, brondes Ford, maumee, ohio, where the car was purchased, and we are always told no parts are available and that it's "no problem to just keep using the vehicle. We will call or email you when parts are available. " if it's no problem to keep using the vehicle and there are no restrictions on a front seat passenger being in the car, regardless of age, weight or seating position, then why is this NHTSA recall being repeatedly issued and why is Ford ignoring the recall?.

Ford does not have parts for the driver or passenger side air bags. I called Ford and spoke with ren at 8:15 am on 09/23/16. I expressed my concern about the metal shrapnel if the bag deployed. I asked for a rental car. Ren told me they did not provide a rental car. I explained this is my only car. Ren informed me the driver's side air bag also needed a second repair. I called mulinax Ford, apopka, FL - no parts. No rental car provided - it is my only card.

"takata recall" we got a recall notice about driver side airbag made appointment with local dealer to have it fixed when got to appointment dealer said recall had already been serviced a month prior at mountianeer automotive in beckley wv which was false because the car had been in our possesion at that time and not in wv . My dealer checked airbag to see if it had been changed it was still the old airbag . They will not fix it beings the VIN shows it has already been serviced. I have been getting the run around from moutaineer aqutomotive beckley wv for months now. . They say they have to do an appeal im sure these things take time. . But we are going on our 4th month now I had made numerous calls left several messages with very little help. . I have a car we need badly and a wife that is scared to drive it. Dont know what to do or where to go have called Ford customer relationship center . Very freindly but no help they also called mountaineer automotive several times with not call back . Then I was getting no call back from Ford. Any help would be very much appreciated. . .

The contact received a recall notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) and had taken the vehicle to marin county Ford dealer, located on 6995 redwood blvd, novato, CA 94945, where the vehicle front driver side air bag was replaced but the front passenger air bag was rejected to be serviced due to the remedy part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that they were working on the remedy part for the repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tools confirms part not available.

Have not been able to get passenger side airbag replaced recieved notice in July of 2016. All dealerships are saying waiting on parts.

The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repair. The interim recall notice was sent mid July of 2016 and the remedy/parts had still been unavailable. The contact was not experiencing a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall: I was informed in July 2016 my passenger side airbags were faulty and the dealership has still not received replacement parts.

"takata recall" . I was notified over a year ago from today , October 19 2017 , about the recalls for the driver side and the passenger side airbags . I have had the drivers side replaced at my local Ford dealership , but they keep telling me there is no replacement/fix for the passenger side yet . It's been well over a year and I use this vehicle regularly with my 11 year old son in the passenger seat . I have anxiety every time I drive the vehicle and would like to let whoever needs to know that this is very unacceptable and it needs to be resolved now. Over a year for our safety is ridiculous . Takata recall, Jun 01,2016, manufacturer recall number16s26, NHTSA recall number16v384. Passenger side air bag recall dated 6-1-17. In December 2017 I am notified not to let anyone sit in the passenger seat. This effectively makes my car a one person car because no human adult can fit in the rear seat. I have asked my dealer for a loaner until the airbag is replaced and was denied. It is now 20 months since the original recall. Certainly Ford is selling new cars with airbags. Why has it taken so long to replace my airbag? please force Ford to provide loaner cars in order to make them get serious about the recall. They sourced the inadequate takata airbags. This is a Ford problem, them should have acted in a timely manner.

The contact was asked to bring the vehicle in on Monday to get the driver's side air bag repaired. The manufacturer was contacted at 866-436-7332, but was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available for the passenger side air bag. The parts for the driver's side air bag were available and the contact was informed to have the vehicle repaired by the dealer. Case number: cas-12930996 was provided. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

"takata recall" the dealership sonora Ford in sonora CA. Says they can't get parts to replace the passenger side air bag. The drivers has been replaced. My car only has 34,000 miles on it because we are afraid to drive it. Can you help to expedite the repairs?.

Received notice 3/2017 -- passenger side airbag parts [takata recall] have yet to arrive at dealership therefore work has not been done. Called dealership after receipt in March and again on 10/30/2017 - both times the dealer did not know when they can expect to service our car.
