The contact owns a 2008 Ford Mustang. While stopped at an intersection, the vehicle's gear failed and would not shift into any of the five gears. The vehicle had to be turned off. When the vehicle was restarted, the contact had to place the vehicle into second gear. The vehicle would not shift into any other gear. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they stated that the slade and master cylinder, clutch pressure plate, gear shifter, and the shifter failed. The vehicle was repaired, but failed again one month later. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they stated that the pilot bearing failed. The clutch slade cylinder and master cylinder were repaired. The failure recurred one month later at an intersection. The contact had to turn off the vehicle. When it was restarted, the contact had to drive in second gear. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they stated that there were loose bolts in the pressure plate to the fly wheel. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer stated that an engineer would come out and inspect the vehicle. The engineer determined that the six torque to yield bolts failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for repair, but the failure still persists. The vehicle is currently not being driven and is at the dealer for repair. The failure mileage was 7,695 and current mileage was 15,150.
