Sterling mccall Ford only replaced my driver's side airbag on March 28, 2018. They were to contact me regarding my passenger side airbag but haven't done so. The airbag recall group contacted me to set an appointment, which I did for August 17, 2018 but then seemingly knew nothing about it when I called to confirm. They wanted me to drive 50 miles to another dealer for a chance to replace it.

Takata recall. It has been over a year and a half since the drivers side airbag was replaced and I was told the passengers side would be available a month later. I have called many times and been told "not yet" when asked if the replacement was in. Now I get a post card saying takata are filing bankruptcy. I am very concerned about my safety and that of passengers in my car. I feel it is unsafe.

Takata recall: nothing has happened (yet), but I found that there was a recall regarding the passenger side airbags, which pose a danger to any passengers in that seat and that the recall is from June 2016. This is over one year now and I contacted my Ford dealership. They informed me that they do not have the parts and that Ford has not provided a timeline for the shop in the near future for the replacement of the airbags. I am supposed to wait for a letter, when I was not even informed in June 2016. I only found out now, because we received a note in the mail that takata is restructuring / filing for bankruptcy protection and that we may need to file our claim with them by December 27, 2017. So, they are getting off the hook and Ford has no timeline. Meanwhile, we are driving an unsafe vehicle with no means to fix it ourselves.

Takata recall: on July 2016 received a notice from Ford regarding the nthsa recall 16v-384. The Ford identification number is recall notice 16s26. I checked with my Ford dealer on recall fix status on July 2017 and again on October 2017. It has been over a year that the recall was identified and there is no fix yet. I am concerned about driving anyone (specially my wife) in the passenger seat and so far I have not been able to get a fixed date from Ford. If their new cars do not have this issue, why don't Ford and takata have a fix for the old cars too ? as a side note, I am not complaining about the driver side air bag. That one Ford fixed some time ago.

Takata recall-- for the past 2 years I have received several recall notices (safety recall number 15s21/ NHTSA number 15v319) regarding driver and front seat passenger air bags. My dealer preformed the recall on the driver side air bag but for 2 years has been telling me Ford has not sent the parts to perform the passenger airbag recall. I had the driver side airbag repair completed. On 8/25/17 I called Ford directly. They said they have never had the parts to fix the recall and don't know when they will get them. Yet they continue to send me recall notices that say failure to fix the recall can result " serious injury or death. " seems like Ford is not making a serious effort to fix this known dangerous condition. Also, how many vehicles will change hands where the new owner will never receive notice of the recall or the dangers arising from failure to repair the recall?.

I was involved in a serious car accident on Sunday of last week. While in the right-hand lane of interstate 95 in boynton beach, florida, my 2008 Mustang was hit in the rear by an apparently speeding motorist. I was traveling between 55-60 mph and accelerating to achieve pace with the other cars on the highway. My car was struck in the rear, and propelled forward striking a minivan in front to me. I was pushed off the road and into the sea grape stand, and then struck one of the posts on a highway information sign. My car was totaled. (see the photo) neither airbag in the car deployed. I had received notices from Ford motor company that my car had takada airbags in it, and that they should be replaced. I was notified approximately one year ago that replacement parts for the driver's side air bag were available. So, I went to the auto nation Ford dealer and garage located on linton blvd, and interstate 95 in delray beach, florida to have the bag replaced. I dropped the car off in the morning and picked it up late in the afternoon, and was told that the bag had been replaced. I have driven the car ever since with the belief that I had a non-takada functioning driver's side air bag. Neither the driver's side air bag nor the passenger side air bag deployed during the accident. However, each of the other three vehicles involved in the accident had full deployment of their air bags. It's obvious that the air bag replacement in my car by the auto nation Ford dealership was deficient and did not meet crash standards for deployment. I am requesting that your agency investigate the replacement air bags and the installation techniques being used by Ford to replace air bags in the Ford cars being recalled for air bag replacement.

Takata recall. The car was recalled almost a year ago for the drivers side airbag. It took several months for Ford to notify me that parts were available. Once fixed (approx 3"months ago) I was told that the passenger side was also recalled but there was no fix . I tried to trade the car in about 2 weeks ago and was told that they were unable to take the car in on trade because there is still no fix and Ford would not allow the resell the car.

Takata recall, I have been waiting for repairs since 2016. The local dealer supposedly did an interim repair on the driver side airbag. Ever since then the middle of the steering wheel is lose and rattles upon acceleration. The car constantly dies and needs to be jump started even after replacing 4 new batteries. The local Ford dealer says there is nothing wrong with car. I don't even think they did anything to the driver airbag. I've have sent over 15 complaints to numerous agencies including Ford with no response besides a letter from Ford received on April 13 saying the parts were available for the passenger side airbag which is a lie! henry at the dealer said they do not have the parts and are still waiting for them. They think they should be there in about 2-3 weeks and it could be up to a month or months before they receive them.

Takata recall. We received our recall letter in June of 2016 for passenger side air bag replacement. We waited a year and called Ford in July of 2017. They said that takata was out of business and they were hiring another company to make the replacement air bags. We just called again on September 29, 2017 and still no idea when it will be repaired. They also told us that we could not disable the air bag. So no one can ride in the passenger seat, unless you want to play russian roulette with your life. We waited over a year for the drivers side air bag to be replaced, so we are coming up on 3 years that we could not drive the car or had limited use because no one is able to ride on the passenger side without putting there life in danger.

The contact owns a 2008 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v384000 (air bags) and 15v319000 (air bags). The parts to do the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted (beach Ford in virginia beach, virginia) and confirmed that the part was not available for the recall remedy for the passenger side air bag. The contact was given an appointment for the driver's side air bag repair. The manufacturer did not know when the parts would arrive. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Parts distribution disconnect.

There is a recall on the drivers side airbag dated by 12/19/2014 autonation sold me this 2008 Ford Mustang on 2/24/2015 and did not tell me about the recall. I got a recall notice in July 2015. Autonation Ford in littleton, CO. Is tell me the company that made the airbags went out of business and they will not do anything about the recall. Hat can be done about it. I purchase the vehicle from mcree Ford in dickinson, texas in 2008 as a gift to my wife. The problem all started after she was involved in an accident in October 2010. During that accident she was “t boned� by another vehicle. The person who hit my wife was ticketed as it was their fault for running the red light. The car sustained approximately $6900 worth of damage. We had the car repaired at mcree Ford’s collision center. Before the dealership gave us the car back, they told us that they could not get the error light for the airbags to go off and that it would be a short delay in giving us the car back. It took them approximately 3 days to repair the problem with the airbag and they assured us that it was fixed. Now, on may 2011, she was again involved in another accident in which she was driving approximately 45 -50 mph when my wife "t-boned" a truck who ran the stop sign and got into her lane. She had no chance to stop the vehicle so she ended up hitting the truck. Because the accident was caused by the driver of the truck, the driver of the truck was ticketed. The front of the Mustang sustained approximately $9900 worth of damage. My wife sustained minor injuries (minor whiplash and a bruise on her leg). The reason for my letter is that my wife’s injuries could have been worse given the fact that the airbag system that was supposed to protect her during both accidents did not deploy. Now, we do not know if the airbag system was defective from manufacturing or if mcree Ford did not repair the airbags correctly from the accident that occurred in October 2010. It is our believe that the airbag system was defective from manufacturing given the fact that they did not deploy in either accident and according to the manual and all the information we received at the time of purchase from mcree Ford, the vehicle was equipped with both frontal and side airbags. I would like this matter investigated as I feel this vehicle is defective.

On 1/11/2009 at 8:00 pm I was heading home from work, when a Ford f-250 lost control and crashed into the drivers' side door. There was such force in the crash that the side impact airbag did not deploy as required to do so. I sustained injuries which consisted of leg contusions, 3 broken ribs,neck, and back injuries. My vehicle which was a 2008 Ford Mustang gt premium sustained $17,700. 00 worth of damage and was deemed a total loss.

"takata recall ", safety recall 15s21 was completed on 08/09/16, driver side airbag, at the time I was advised that the passenger side airbag was not yet available and that I would be notified when it is available, to date I have not been so advised. Presently safety recall 16s26 is still active and I have received notice that takata has filed chapter 11 bankruptcy!.
