Takara inflators: my complaint is that I am having a difficult time getting my local Ford dealership to take care of the recall because I did not buy the car from them. I have been on a waiting list for over a year. I called again yesterday and had to put my name on the list again! I was told they had to order the parts and he could not give me an approximate idea of how long this would take.
We have contacted multiple dealerships over the last two years and no one ever has the parts to correct the airbag inflator problem.

Takata recall-passenger side airbag inflator->Ford is incompletely not replacing these in a timely fashion. I have waited over a year to have the driver's airbag replaced, and now over 6 months for the passenger side -and they still have not replaced it. Some type of penalty should be meted out!! please help!!!.
Takata recall - part replacement for this used car is still outstanding. (is Ford creating the replacement inflator as has been informally reported?) VIN number was not found in NHTSA listing, which concerns me greatly, so will I still be informed when replacement part(s) available since this has now been reported?! the car is a convertible(cv) if that makes any difference. Would like to have part replaced immediately as three people, including two children, are transported in car every day, and the inflator issue is very concerning. The delay in replacement is unacceptable in my view. Parts should be replaced ASAP!! please treat replacement with real urgency and let the author have frequent updates via mail or e-mail.
Takata recall; I received a letter from Ford motor company in July of 2016 that informed me of a safety recall (16s26 / NHTSA recall 16v-384) that affects my vehicle and further states that should there be an airbag deployment, a ruptured inflator may cause serious injury or death. I have not yet been contacted for the replacement inflator and I have visited my local dealership on two occasions to status the recall. I was interested in having the passenger side inflator deactivated until the repair was accomplished but the dealership representative stated they were not authorized to deactivate. Therefore, I need your authorization to allow Ford to deactivate the passenger side inflator immediately and until the recall has been satisfied.
Takata recall - according to the NHTSA. Gov website, "the passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy" . . . Since this recall was issued on 06/01/2016 and the remedy is not yet available, this problem has not been addressed in a timely manner! my wife and I are extremely concerned about the safety of our son driving this vehicle (age 22). This is especially true because we live in the houston area and there is a high level of humidity here in this environment. I want Ford to address this issue ASAP!.
Takata recall recall title: takata non-desiccated phased stabilized ammonium nitrate (psan) passenger frontal airbag inflators NHTSA recall number: 16v384 almost one year ago my passenger airbag was recalled. It is taking too long for a remedy to become available. If a timely repair is not feasible, takata and Ford should provide monetary relief. This delay is unacceptable.
I do not know if this involves a "takata inflator". I received a Ford motor company safety recall notice postmarked July 24, 2015 indicating my 2009 Mustang was subject to recall for a defective front driver side air bag inflator housing. I heard nothing more from Ford so in late September 2015 I telephoned the Ford customer service. Customer service told me that there was no action being taken to replace the part on my vehicle. I asked why nothing had been done for two months since the notice and the Ford motor CO. Customer representative informed me that Ford was "taking quotes" for the replacement, which suggested to me that Ford is looking for the cheapest way to fix this problem. In light of the dangerous nature of this problem, as the notice states: "an inflator rupture could result in . . . Serious injury or death. ", I think this is an outrageous corporate decision. Now I read in the last two weeks about the money Ford is spending on new models, new plants and other investments other than the dangerous products already on the road like my car. I want this dangerous and defective part replaced on my vehicle now before I or a passenger receives "serious injury or death".
I received a notice from Ford motor company in July 2015 indicating there is a safety recall of my vehicle due to the front driver side air bag inflator housing possibly rupturing and sending metal fragments striking the driver and other occupants resulting serious injury. The letter said I would be notified when the parts to repair my vehicle are available. To date, I not been notified to schedule a repair. It has been 9 months now and parts still are not available? I am not understanding why. This is a known safety hazard.
Takata recall on June 22, 2015 I emailed Ford`s customer relationship center regarding the takata air bag recall and that time it was verified that my vehicle was involved in the safety recall program 15s21. I was also advised: "we encourage you to bring your vehicle in for service as soon as you are notified that parts are available, but that you should continue to drive your vehicle until then. I received "important safety recall" notice 15s21 NHTSA recall 15v-319 dated July 2015. I again emailed Ford's crc in November 2015 and was "offered sincere apologies for the delay" and that they are still working with their suppliers to expedite parts. It has been well over 6 months now with no resolution in sight and I find it irresponsible of Ford to advise people too continue to drive their vehicles in this condition, especially owners like me living in a high heat, humid climate area which, allegedly, causes propellant wafers break down. I believe it has been an unreasonable amount of time waiting for a repair and Ford should consider compensating those who fall under the safety recall. For now, my 2009 Mustang sits. I'm unable to drive or sell it due to the safety issue. It is my understanding that there was another death back in December 2015 due to a faulty takata airbag inflator? when will there be a fix for this?.
