2 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2017

Takata recall: it has been 8 months since the recall on my vehicle regarding the passenger side airbag was published. Since that time, I have not transported anyone on the passenger side of the car fearing for their safety. This has created a large burden on my family as the vehicle can no longer transport my wife and two year old child. The recall has lasted so long that I made the decision to sell the car. Two dealerships (including a Ford dealer) refused to purchase due to the recall on the grounds that they will be unable to sell it while the recall is in effect. No private sale offer comes close to the vehicle's blue book value disclosing the vehicle's condition. I am left with the choice of transporting my family in an unsafe vehicle or taking a loss of several thousand dollars and purchasing another vehicle which, due to the situation,I will struggle to afford. My choice is clear as I will not sacrifice the safety of my family, but this situation is completely unsatisfactory as no safety recall should take the better part of a year (and counting) to implement.

3 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 09/06/2016

Takata recall I had my car at the dealership recently to do necessary repairs to the driver side airbag, there is still an active recall for the passenger side airbag that they are still waiting on parts for. So anyway I rear ended a vehicle while stuck in slow moving rush hour traffic on i35 n in austin TX. This happened after they had worked on my driver side airbag. I was not moving faster than 10mph and the collision impact did very minimal damage to my vehicle and the other driver's vehicle. Since it was bumper to bumper rush hour traffic on a major highway we could not be bothered with waiting for a police report. Like I said the damage was minimal but the accident did cause my airbag to deploy, which did cause minor burn injuries on my hands and arms. This is the most mild traffic accident I have experienced in my lifetime yet it is is the first time I have actually seen an airbag deploy, which is why I believe there may have been flaws with the repair job or the airbag had malfunctioned. I have attempted numerous times to get the dealership to address this issue and I have not had any luck. They keep saying they already fixed it and I am going to have to pay for this out of pocket because my insurance also will not cover the cost of replacing my airbag. So right now I am continuing to drive around with a deployed airbag and my inspection is currently past due. So I have been told that my vehicle needs to be inspected to see if the airbag recall repair work that was done was faulty or incomplete and most likely what caused my airbag to deploy unnecessarily.

4 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/02/2016

Takata recall. . . I've contacted a number of Ford and Lincoln dealers in palm beach county florida. I'm being told that the passenger side airbag replacements are not available.

5 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2016

Takata recall : the first recall for the drivers side air bag was issued around may of 2015 and finally parts arrived to complete the recall around may-June 2016. Within weeks of that time a second recall was received for the passenger side air bag which is now dated 6/1/2016. It has now been over a year and no update for this current recall and Ford will not grant a loaner vehicle until the repair is made. My wife will not ride in the vehicle until the recall has been completed and over 1 year for a safety recall seems very irresponsible. Please help get my wife back into my automobile. I live in orlando florida where heat and humidity are also considered to be factors in the air bag failures.

6 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2016

Takata airbag: Ford inc has failed to resolve the passenger side airbag after nearly 18 months, despite several emails and telephone calls. Their email indicates that certain regions of the country, such as those with high temperatures and humidity are believed to have the highest risk of failure and are prioritized. I live in north central florida -- which meets the criteria they have established but they continue to state they have no replacement airbags. In addition to the potential physical risk I am concerned that the value of the vehicle is substantially reduced if this is not corrected and requiring me to retain the vehicle until they manage to resolve the problem depreciates the worth of the vehicle at sale or trade-in.

7 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2016

Takata airbag. My airbags have been recalled for two years Ford was able to replace the driver side airbag after one year earlier this year they sent me a letter that said the parts were into fix the passenger side airbag I called every Ford dealer around and no one had any parts to fix my airbag I was told by dealers keep calling us back until we see if we have some parts in yesterday I called my local Ford dealer and they told me my name should've been put on a list and that I had five more weeks to wait I have essentially been unable to use my car to transport any passengers for over two years I have contacted Ford several times and not received any kind of response.
