Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problems of the 2012 Ford Mustang

Air bag inflator has been on recall for almost a year and still no remedy available.

Takata recall - we have contacted the Ford dealership several times regarding the recall for the takata airbag inflator. We are told the dealership does not have the parts to make the necessary repair, and is waiting for the manufacturer to send them the parts.

Takata recall. Frontal passenger airbag inflator may rupture and has not been repaired. Received notification through the mail March 2017. I've contacted vista Ford of woodland hills CA numerous times since the first notification & also spoke to the mgr. Of service jeff harkness. Jeff indicated he has no information on when the replacement parts will be available whatsoever. Need to have the airbag repaired ASAP. If it ruptures, it might kill or severally injure someone. Already had on airbag replaced on the driver side, now the passenger side?.

Takata recall: received a recall letter from Ford motor company July 2015 and another July 2016. Contacted local Ford dealer concerning recall 2 months ago to have airbag inflator replaced. As of this date (9/2/2016) have received no word regarding part's arrival (dealership assured me they would call when part arrived). Please note that it has been over 1 year since receiving 1st recall letter and nearly 8 weeks and pending that part still has not come in.

I received a safety recall letter from Ford motor CO. In July 2015. It states that the front driver side air bag inflator housing may rupture and deploy abnormally. If this happens it can cause serious injury or death. I contacted Ford's customer service in December and they stated that it would be fixed in 2016. I contacted them in February and they still don't have the parts? the recall notice 152s21/NHTSA recall 15v-319. I don't feel comfortable driving my car. Is there anything else I can do to get this taken care of? thanks.

Safety recall notice 15s21/ NHTSA recall 15v-319 front driver side airbag inflator housing rupture 7 deploy abnormally result in metal fragments striking driver 7 other occupants causing serious injury or death. Ford issued this recall on July 2015. The letter contains no phone # so I called the dealership. I was told the parts are being produced slowly and goes in order of VIN#. I am still driving with myself and my children in the car with the constant fear of being injured and dying from the air bag that is supposed to protect me. The dealership service dept manager acted annoyed by my call; however, they were more than overjoyed to sell it to me. There should be a way to get an updated progress report on the production of the replacement part & the process should not take this long. What I am I to do? wait until something life-altering happens when I thought I was buying my dream car. . .
