Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 2015 Ford Mustang

Tl the contact owned a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the air bags did not deploy during a crash. During the crash the driver sustained injuries to the upper torso. We were stopped in fast lane in freeway traffic, car in center lane hit back passenger side, pushing us into tahoe in front of us. Driver that hit us was going 30-35 mph on impact. 2015 Ford Mustang gt was in an accident, where I rear ended another vehicle. The front end was pushed in about 3-4 inches to the point where the drivers door no longer opens and the hood no longer closes, this prompted the knee airbags to go off, driver side airbag went off perfectly fine, however driver side deployed only half way (more like 1/4) which rendered it defective. Spoke to 2 seperate Ford dealerships about it and was told they don't know how an airbag is supposed to work because they did not design it.
