general problems of the 2015 Ford Mustang

The airbag light is on, the vehicle has not been in an accident. The vehicle has less than 50k miles on it. The bags have never deployed. I did not have this repaired. There is a seatbelt recall that affects airbags. . . Ford motor company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford Mustang vehicles manufactured August 18, 2014, to October 2, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the passenger safety belt tension sensor may misclassify the size of the front passenger seat occupant. This could cause a child size occupant to be classified as an adult and an adult passenger to be classified as a child passenger. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 208, "occupant crash protection. " does this cause the airbag light to come on???.

There is a well known evaporator core issue with the Ford Mustangs/trucks that were produced between the 2015-2017 models. Freon leaks out of the evaporator core due to poor build quality this creates a white film on the windshield of the vehicle that makes it hard for drivers to see. This happened to me when I first bought my car and I could have crashed but was able to safely pull over and clean the windshield off. This film buildup can happen at anytime and also releases an unpleasant order into the atmosphere that should not be breathed in and is very harmful to the environment. Ford is well aware of this issue and decided to avoid doing a recall to prevent the company from losing money. I am also having an airbag issue on my Mustang this one is current. I have not been in any accidents or driven the car in anyway to make the light come on. The drivers side airbag light is on and is indicating that their is an issue with my airbag system. This is a huge safety concern and I don't want to wait for something to happen for either of these issues to be fixed. The ac issue is new for me with Ford but out of the 4 Mustangs I have owned 3 of them have all had recalls for an airbag issue. The first was my 2005 v6 base model. The second was my 2010 Mustang gt. And the third was my 2014 Mustang gt. This is now my 4th Mustang and still having air bag issues. Please do something about any of these issues if you can. I am sure numerous of other people have experienced what I am experiencing. I have even done research and seen forums that are over 150 pages long regarding some of the safety issues mentioned in this message. Please and thank you very much.

Tried to go through dealer they refused to fix.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front passenger's side seat belt and air bag warning lights were illuminated, while there was no passenger occupying the passenger seat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a faulty occupant classification module (ocm) sensor. The dealer informed the contact that the occupant classification module (ocm) sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.

I was like I was dreaming when after I was woke up in the hospital and there was a lot of time missing you know I can remember at the every little thing I was missing a lot of time before we went out and the wreck you know right after a couple of days of being conscious and never should have wrecked you know and it just it just let nothing making no sense and then it all come clear I was knocked out before the wreck an example of a how I don't know why I don't know all I know is I was knocked out a couple of thousands of a second before the red cuz I missed you too much of it.

Seat belt tensioner: seat belt tension is not retaining tension. Have spoken with dealer and showed them the problem and they agreed with my assessment and have ordered a new pre-tensioner for me. They also noted unnecessary slowness in the retraction of the passenger side seat belt tensioner and will order one for me if I ask for it (which I will). I am asking the NHTSA to contact Ford about this problem as other makes and models could also be affected.

My 2015 Mustang was totaled on March 11 2018 and none of the airbags came out and on inspection the state trooper said my seat beat misfired . When I contacted the Ford customer service center the guy had the nerve to ask me what did I want him to do about it!!!! I never received a recall at all from anyone!!!! I then ask him to have someone call me I have as to yet not received one phone call. . . This is just not the kind of response that will continue to sell Ford Mustang if I can't be safe or my family be safe what would make me want to own another one or even tell everyone my experience with Mustang and I have owned many of them I loved Mustangs but this really changes my view of Ford and Mustangs!!!.

2015 Mustang 2. 3 liter. Purchased brand new from fairfield Ford in California. Mustang rear ended 2014 prius at highway speed. Severe accident. Steering wheel airbag failed to inflate in Mustang. Lower airbag in driver footwell inflated only. Driver seatbelt retractor is not locked potentially should be immobilized. Driver of Mustang suffered 2 broken ribs, 2 cracked ribs, and a cracked sternum. Her face also struck the steering wheel and caused her to become unconscious for a little while . Both vehicles towed from scene, Mustang driver did not realize her injuries and went to the hospital the following day. Complaints of chest pain, which is when x-rays were taken and the bodily injuries were determined.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v643000 (latches/locks/linkages) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was experiencing a progressing failure in which the doors would sometimes unlatch to open or close. The failure mileage was not available. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v319000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. My car since 2015 when I purchase my vehicle had a ticking sound from the engine. Ford never open the engine indicating that it will cost to much for them to fix it. On top of this problem has worsen and airbegs, stability and other problems has arise now and Ford refuses to fix them.
