I was driving and my steering wheel turned to the right all of a sudden and I hit a curb. The curb caused my tire to blow, messed up my wheel, and who knows how bad anything else was that was messed up from this incident.

The lane assist kept pulling to the right when the lane markings were unclear. Entering highway, lanes go from 2 to 1. We were merging when a car tried to merge into us. We moved over to the right and the lane assist pulled us into a curb. We ended up in a roll over accident and no air bags opened or went off.
My son was driving and noticed a stiffness in the steering along with an occasional intermittent “ clicking” felt while turning the wheel. While going around a sharp curve the power steering failed completely and locked the steering wheel hard left forcefully. He was able to get it off the road safely and I was following him in another vehicle so I drove it the rest of the way home with no power steering. Online I found that numerous other Ford owners over all models 2010-2015 have experienced the same epas failure due to a design flaw. Https://youtu. Be/szhmxwcp9fo this you tube video is what lead me here. Not only is the video informative of the problem, but in the comments countless others have experienced the same nightmare experience. We have parked the car as the repair can cost $3000, but worse than that if replaced under warranty the new parts fail again within 6 months and are not covered by Ford.

This issue is when a haze develops on the inside of the windshield in the line of sight of the forward facing camera that detects vehicles, objects, traffic lanes and rain sensing. Since this area of the windshield is enclosed, there is no way to clean it. This is not condensation but dust particles that adhere to the glass, possibly from ac or heat that flows along the windshield and also it possibly enhanced in humid climates. When the issue occurs, the dash warning will appear stating, "front camera low visibility clean screen" and the outside windshield is definitely not dirty. I've taken this to my local Ford dealership and they claim they have no way to address the problem and suggested I take it to a windshield replacement shop, such as safelite, they also said it is not covered under any Ford warranty. I find this odd, since it is a potential design defect with the vehicle. This is a random occurrence and because of the warning, I fear it diminishes the accuracy of everything the front sensor detects and could be potentially dangerous. I've found several postings in vehicle forums online with the same issue but nothing about Ford or anyone resolving it, so this is not an isolated issue. Here is one posting in a forum showing the warning as well as images of the camera/windshield area that is the issue. . Read more...
