I am filing a safety complaint regarding an open manufacturer recall on my vehicle that has not been completed despite being scheduled for repair. On or about 2/16/2026, I scheduled the recall repair with an authorized dealership/service center. The repair was accepted and scheduled; however, the repair has not been completed to date. It has now been approximately 50 days (or more) since the scheduled appointment, and the recall remedy remains unresolved. Despite multiple attempts to follow up, the repair has not been performed, and no reasonable timeline has been provided for completion. This ongoing delay leaves the vehicle in an unrepaired condition subject to a known safety-related recall issue. Safety concern: the unresolved recall defect presents a potential safety risk, as the manufacturer has identified the issue as significant enough to warrant a recall. The continued delay in remedy increases the risk of operating a vehicle with a known safety defect. Dealer / manufacturer response: •recall repair was scheduled and acknowledged by the dealer - suburban Ford of ferndale. •repair has not been completed after an extended period. •no adequate resolution timeline has been provided. •communication regarding the delay has been insufficient. Impact: •vehicle remains in an unsafe or potentially unsafe condition. •loss of use / inability to rely on manufacturer recall remedy. •unreasonable delay in addressing a safety recall. Requested action: I am requesting that NHTSA: •review this matter as a potential failure to timely remedy a safety recall •ensure the manufacturer and/or dealer fulfills its obligations to complete the recall repair promptly •investigate whether systemic delays or failures are occurring in the recall remedy process additional notes: this issue is not merely about the existence of a recall, but rather the failure to complete a scheduled recall repair within a reasonable timeframe after acceptance by the dealership.

On [xxx], multiple electrical systems on my 2024 Ford Mustang suddenly failed while the vehicle was in normal operation. The following systems stopped functioning: hvac/climate control, heated seats, outside temperature display, rear turn signals, and blind spot monitoring. No prior warning lights were displayed before the failure. These failures significantly compromised safety because the rear turn signals and blind spot monitoring stopped working without warning while driving. Loss of exterior signaling and driver-assistance systems created a risk of collision. The lack of hvac also created visibility concerns due to inability to defog windows. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Ford dealer the same day. The dealer confirmed the issue, diagnosed water intrusion into the body control module, and stated that the failure is linked to an open Ford recall regarding bcm water intrusion. The dealer has had the vehicle since 10/21/25, and the bcm and related components remain available for inspection. The repair has been delayed for nearly two months, and the dealer reports they are “waiting on engineering approval” from Ford with no estimated completion date. The defect has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealer but has not yet been repaired. The manufacturer has not inspected the vehicle directly, and no police or insurance inspection has occurred. The safety risk remains significant because bcm failure disables multiple critical signaling and monitoring systems without warning. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Under NHTSA recall 22v082. Ford refused to change the rear view camera despite it was under recall: the recall states to replace wiring harness and or camera replacement if necessary free of charge. My rear view camera is still distorted after they change the wiring harness and they told me to pay for the camera since its not covered under the recall. The letter that I got has the same recall number above but it didn't mention replacing the camera even though it has the same issue on the recall distort image when backing up. Nhtsa and consumer reports/ Ford websites they all mention to replace both if necessary. I attached a sample copy of the recall from Ford stating that. Even Ford specialist read that to me on the call when I asked her what did the recall number say about the fix. But the recall department says it s not covered. This is the detail for the recall below. Vehicles recalled: 2015-2017 Ford Mustang the problem: the wiring harness for the backup camera may be damaged or have an improperly soldered connection that can prevent an image from being displayed. The fix: dealerships will replace the backup camera and/or repair the decklid wiring harness at no charge. How to contact the manufacturer: Ford will contact owners by mail starting on March 7, 2022. Owners may also call Ford at 866-436-7332. Nhtsa campaign number: 22v082000. Ford’s number for this recall is 22s06.

Backup camera abruptly stopped working. It shows a hazy image with lines. There are recalls for 2016 Mustangs for that same issue, but none for my VIN.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed for approximately 15 minutes, the rear-view camera, traction control, forward collision avoidance and blind spot detection became inoperable. There was a beeping sound detected. The contact stated that the check engine, blind spot detection, hill start assist, back over prevention camera, and gear selector warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the failures were confirmed, but the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA campaign number: 22v382000 (power train). The manufacturer was contacted and referred him to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was 3,700.

My name is michelle wright and I have purchased Ford vehicles most of my life. I love Ford vehicles and have had amazing experiences with westlie Ford and landmark Ford. I purchased my vehicle at vancouver Ford, which is the most unprofessional and unethical dealership. My story starts October 2021, when I purchased a 2019 Ford Mustang from vancouver Ford. I paid cash for the vehicle and was provided an autocheck, not a carfax the day I had purchased this car. Over the last 8 months I have had several issues that made think my car was an accident but was assured it was never in an accident. After pulling the carfax, I realized it was in a wreck and had an accident date of July 2019. This led me to look for an accident report, which was filed by a portland police officer on July 23, 2019.
Hi there, I believe there is a recall currently on Mustangs for the rear view camera not working. I checked my VIN number as my car has the same issue, but it doesn't show at a recall, I'd like understand why this is as the issue is on the same model, and year. I live in the uk, and this same issue happened with my car that was made in us, so I'd like to know if my car was in the us would it have been recalled regarding this rear camera recall. As the cars in the uk aren't and I just want to understand my options with Ford. I know this is a strange request, but would appreciate your steer on this.
My car has started to have problems with some of its features. Cruise control, pre collision assist, traction control, back up camera and some other features have all become unavailable.
