There is a break pedal pad that is broken. It doesn't allow the car to accelerate correctly and car goes in limp mode. All break lights are illuminated when car is turned off. There is a recall for this, but I purchased my car in CA. I think the car was originally a nevada car. Am I still eligible for the recall even if I didn't get the notification and my state of purchase was not mentioned?.

Suddenly started experiencing a loss of power at highway speeds only remedied by slamming the accelerator to the floor which then caused the car to surge forward. After getting the car home also noticed the rear brake lights would remain on at all times. The twin problems ended up being connected. Turns out there is a small plastic/ceramic piece in the brake assembly that fails and breaks apart without warning - also no dashboard warnings after it fails. Causes the vehicle to think the brakes are being applied and cuts the power in response. This happened while traveling at interstate highway speed and was an immediate safety issue. Was told by the dealer this small part is very susceptible to florida heat - unfortunately the whole brake assembly has to be replaced.
Took my car for inspection and rejected for 3rd high mount brake light not working. Car only has 31000 miles. Very costly repair. . No power going to light. Ford made poor quality led system failed. Researched and found out high number of these light system failed with low milage. I believe osha has a regulation concerning quality of work. A better quality of lightning system needs to developed to anf Ford needs to replace the light system without any cost for customers. Definitely a recall item since it can go out anytime while driving placing the driver and other drivers behing the car. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly; 4 - VIN corrected, error in one position only (indicated by ! in suggested VIN), multiple matches found; 14 - unable to provide information for all the characters in the VIN. #vpic#.

After heavy rain for a couple weeks. I was driving strait, in the rain on a city street. I noticed my radio turned off. Then also noticed my headlights and blinkers were also not working. After reaching my destination before it got too dark I stopped and tested all lights including brake lights. All of the exterior lights weren't working, the gas light came on (although I had atleast a half tank) tcs light and also the emergency brake light were on in the instrument panel. After parking the Mustang in the garage for a couple weeks until I had time to check the status of the car. I noticed the floor of the cab (passenger side) was damp. The car battery was dead (less than a year old, red top optima) and there was mold actually growing in parts of the interior of the car. I did some research regarding this issue and found it common from a failed plug under the windshield wipers next to the a/c filter. Causing the water to fill up between the firewall and the engine compartment, and ultimately leaking inside the cab onto the sjb (Smart junction box) located directly behind the firewall on the passenger side. I am very concerned for this safety issue for it can cause a serious accident if electronics fail while driving and also the fact that there is mold growing in my car from this issue. This is a common problem and needs addressed immediately.

3rd breakelight extreemly dim the other brake lights are fine. I was told by mechanic it was a computer issue . I noticed a number of munstangs of the same model also with the same issue. This is a safty issue as it is also part of the safty inspection. I excatly how many auto colisions does it take or deaths before this is taken care of.

The contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that he was informed by another driver that the brakes lights were illuminated. The contact inspected the vehicle and found that when the clutch was depressed, the brake lights illuminated because the bracket that connected the clutch and brake pedal stretched enough to cause the illumination of the brake lights. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 998.

I had the misfortune of being behind a new Mustang at night. While sitting behind the car at I couldn't believe how bright the Mustang's brake lights were. Please look into the brightness of these brake lights to see if they meet your strict guidelines. Thank you,.

2005 Mustang v6, right rear brake light and turn signal bulb keeps burning out. If second bulb fails on this side there is no turn signal. Have seen this defect on other 05 + Mustangs.
Brake lights never inspected. Went to take car back right away, lights were fixed but failure to do a thorough inspection resulted in not liscence plate.

Brake lights: the rear brake lights don't work while the brake pedal is depressed. There have been no aftermarket modifications to any part of the electrical system. The brake lights work only when the clutch pedal is lightly pressed and the brake pedal is depressed. This problem is currently being addressed by the dealer, but since the car is out of warranty, I have to pay for it. Seat belts: the front drivers side seat belt doesn't retract. The belt "hangs loosely" after it is the driver takes it off and requires "excessive" manual adjustment for a proper and safe fit. Mileage odometer: the mileage odometer doesn't work. I don't know how long it has been broken, but I noticed recently that it stops occasionally. After reviewing my driving paterns I believe that the odometer may be reporting more mileage than I have actually put on the car (but I have no absolute way to prove this).
