I was driving normally on the road, when suddenly my steering wheel locked. My steering assist was off, so I forcefully pulled over to the side of the road. Hill assist, service asdvancetrac and steering assist codes went off. Lights for advancetrac and hill assist are still illuminated on the dash until today. It's been a week.

The actual getrag defective and faulty manual transmission on Ford Mustang 2020 still causing serious personal safety issues nowadays. In manual transmission vehicles, downshifting gears on a reliable, effective and efficient transmission part, it's a serious and determining factor at the moment the driver needs to slow down safely or even stop the vehicle, especially on longer downhill roads so brake overheating and possible failure of them can be avoided or in the eventual case of towing a load. . . Shifting gears at also important when increasing speed is required or even expected, like at the moment a car incorporates or merge in to a freeway from the ramp and it's required to match the ongoing and specially, the oncoming vehicles or traffic, this risk increases if the oncoming vehicle is a loaded trailer to set 1 example. Being able to efficiently increase speed if slowing down option is not the advisable in the particular circumstances; is actually a determining factor at the moment of avoid a lateral deadly collision or in the best of the cases an injury. This defective transmission had situated me in this kind of risky situations of collision and deadly crashes, that fortunately were managed to be avoided. Ford it's actually facing on this year (2020) a class action (case 2:20-cv-11310-ljm-drg ecf no. 1) for refusing us the customers, to get replaced, repaired, and totally solution and cure the problem with this dangerous and unreliable transmission part. Unlike! Ford refuses to acknowledge their responsibility and trying to scam us and even charge us expensive amounts for repairs, claiming that it's a wear and tear issue or aggressive driving, drivers performing burnouts etc. Trying to scam us with even a 1 month of using, brand new cars and with their warranty, claiming that it's due to the clutch and clutch is the only thing they don't cover.

While driving up a hill and attempting to pass another vehicle, I briefly lost acceleration. This happened again a few minutes later, and repeated a couple more times. I had never experienced this issue before and there were no warning indicators, or any other signs of mechanical failure. After happening several times, losing acceleration intermittently without taking my foot off the gas, a warning message displayed "hill assist not available," and then disappeared. No other warning messages or dash indicators appeared, and I could not find anything relating to hill assist in my settings. After parking and shutting off my car, I noticed the brake lights remained on- I could not figure out how to turn them off. I searched all of these issues and found a blog post written by another owner experiencing the same issues. The other owner found small fragments of a broken plastic disc on the floor mat, below the petals- I found the same thing in my car. I went to a nearby auto zone for assistance and was advised the broken piece was a "brake light switch plunger. " one of their associates quickly installed a $3. 00 replacement for me, which seemed to fix all of the issues. I have not yet taken my car to Ford, but plan to do so ASAP. Each time I lost acceleration I was traveling up a hill, and it was only temporary- with no other systems appearing to be affected.
Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph the braking system erroneously activated causing the vehicle to swerve to left. The contact indicated that during the failure only the front driver side brake had activated and the traction control sensor light had illuminated. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 91,000. Jft.

I was driving straight on dry pavement at approximately 40 miles per hour (the speed limit) when the car suddenly started violently shaking from left to right. Imagine an excited dog wagging its tail and body. That was my car. A yellow light was flashing on and off, but I could not determine what it was under the circumstances. The car was making a grinding noise. I immediately started slowing the car down. The brakes were grinding when I depressed them. I pulled into a parking lot to see if I could see something wrong. I left the car running. There was nothing visible. I got back into the car and drove about a block and the same thing happened again so I pulled off again, got out and looked again and saw nothing. I cannot remember if I shut the car off or not. I was only about 4 miles from home, so I decided to at least try to get closer to home before I called someone for help. I was able to drive the car home without incident. I looked in the manual to try to figure out what the light was and it was the traction control. When I restarted the car, it was acting normal. According to the manual, if there was something wrong, the light would stay on. I have driven the car about 20-25 more miles since and it has not reoccurred. I have been driving many years and have never had a car act like this. I did some searching on the internet and have found multiple Mustang drivers that have had similar experiences with years 2011 and newer. I also read that Ford has had other models recalled for similar problems, but not Mustang. I am taking it in tomorrow to get the passenger airbag recall serviced. I told the dealership about this problem and they are going to look at it (for $112) and tell me what they find.
2011 Ford Mustang 3. 7l v6 convertible, premium, automatic transmission throttle body failure (part # at4z-9e926-b) while driving, the car suddenly decelerates, the dashboard wrench light comes on, the front end of the car rumbles and shakes, and the car will not accelerate, forcing me to pull off the road. This happens at moderate speed on local roads and at highway speed. If I pull off the road, turn the car off, wait a few minutes, and then restart, it usually runs normally. On one occasion, it did not. It decelerated and then stalled completely in the middle of a four way intersection while I was on the way home from the dealership after being told there was no code, so they weren't able to do anything about the problem. I coasted through the intersection, pulled over, turned the car off and then restarted it, after which it ran for about a minute, shook violently, and then stalled. Every indicator on the dashboard was illuminated. It seemed as if the car was choking. I repeated this over and over, creeping down the shoulder, back to the dealership. In my case, this part has been replaced three times in the last five years, most recently on oct 29, 2019. According to my service records, part # at4z-9e926-b was used for each replacement. Apparently, Ford replaces a defective part with another defective part. This part should be recalled and replaced with a different or improved part that will fix the problem once and for all. 2015: code p2135, replaced throttle body assembly 2016: sent away from dealership, no fault codes, unable to verify 2016: returned to dealership shortly after I was sent away; code p0315, replaced throttle body assembly 2016: customer satisfaction program 16b23, reimbursed for throttle body replacement 2019: no fault code noted on service paperwork, replaced throttle body assembly.

My 2011 Mustang when driving at around 40mph the traction control light come on and the front end starts to wobble it don't happen all the time. I took it to have it check and was told the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The don't have but 56000 miles. I did some research and found out Ford recall several vehicles with this same problem. From what I found out that it might be a heat over the electric gearbox.
When traveling at 65 miles a hour the airbag light, traction control lights and abs light came on the vehicle also lost power steering. I was told that because the airbag light was on the airbags would not function. Dealers report that rear driver hub driver side caused the issue. Dealer refused to cover under warranty even though airbag system was still under warranty.
I was driving at approximately 35 mph when the vehicle started vibrating with traction control lights coming on. Pulled into a parking lot turned off car and ran fine afterwards. I have had to pull over on several occasions due to the same problem. Then I had my 10 year old in the car on the highway. . I was just getting off the on ramp onto the highway at approximately 60- 65 mph and the car started vibrating with traction control light blinking on dash . It was scary . I had to pull over to the side of the highway turned the car off and back on and prayed we would make it home safe. Now the steering wheel is constantly sticking not gliding as I drive . Sticks more when moving steering wheel to the left. My 2011 Mustang only has 57,00 miles on it. After reading other complaints, a lot of other people are having the same issue with their 2011 Mustangs. Come on Ford, help us! you recalled other models but not the Mustang . I can't afford $3000. 00 to fix and this is a continuous problem with the Mustang and you left us out of the recall. Back up your defective sensors and parts and replace the bad before someone loses their life. Our life is in your hands . Please help with this problem, this fix! please include the recall on the 2011 Mustangs ! keep our families safe!.

My mother bought this car brand new, the neighbors hacked into the sync system once and had issues out of radio since, but she's not concerned over that, the 6speed transmission will shift on its on, be running 55 and downshift to first, and go to pull out in 6th and had almost got her hit more than once , I hooked computer to it reset everything to factory except the my key and bluetooth which neighbors hacked, but I took down the rd and driving normal to set shifting points, I was in a 60 mph zone going 55 and luckily no one was behind me it decided that 1rst gear was nessasary gear at 55 and I fish tailed until I shifted into n, but she is older and just paid it off, and now since police wouldn't help us against their own family I. Wash CO TN we had move and her car is only way she had to work, my cars are also electronically disabled at this time , only car I have is manuel trans and she can't shift gears, she helps everyone and is a nurse yet we can't get an one help her and where she moved had broke her , please tell me a way I can get her a reliable fix, from what I've seen Ford should went a recall. She has no choice but to take her chances since my car gas tank was sugared , it's getting worse and only does in certain areas near sub stations for some reason. After driving approximately 5 miles at highway speed, several warning indicators illuminate, including advancetrak unavailable, the abs indicator, traction control indicator, and air bag indicator. All of these systems become unavailable.
This letter is to document a significant issue with our Ford shelby gt350, VIN 1fa6p8jz8h5526334, model yr 2017, color: white/blue, current mileage: approximately 1600. In early March 2018 upon exiting a store parking onto and pulling onto yorba linda blvd the vehicle experienced a sudden power loss and engine stop. The vehicle would not restart as it rolled down the street. We managed to pull it to the curb. By cycling the ignition system the vehicle restarted on a fourth attempt. Each starter cycle was approximately 10-15 seconds. No warning lights were apparent pre or post the event. Approximately 1 week later, in mid-March 2018 the vehicle experienced the same power loss again while pulling away from a stop sign into an intersection, again in yorba linda, CA. The vehicle was pushed out of the intersection, the starter cycled, it cycled twice for approximately 15 seconds each period and on the third attempted restated. No warning lights were apparent pre or post the event. Most recently the vehicle experienced 2 dangerous events. The vehicle was going downhill on a 2 lane highway at approximately 60 mph when all power was lost. On a downhill the vehicle coasted in gear with compression engine braking slowing the vehicle. The vehicle was pulled over into the pull out. The instrument panel was fully functional but no engine power, no warning lights other than a yellow square saying the accessories were powered. No warning lights, no problem indicator lights. The engine started immediately after reaching a full stop with a single press of the ignition button. Later the same day while attempting to get to a dealership the vehicle again lost power while beginning to accelerate. Speed was 64 mph. The vehicle had no warning lights or other indicators illuminated. The vehicle was driven immediately to the nearest dealer. Ford has been notified.
I'm a long time Ford owner. In July, 2017 the electronic power steering on my 2013 Mustang gt which had less than 40k miles, malfunctioned which in turn resulted in the loss of traction control, abs and other electronic assist functions. After being informed that my warranty was expire, I was quoted over $2. 2k. Annoyed that a low mileage car which was less than 4 years old could have an issue like this, I chose to drive it without power steering. Fast forward to January 2018, I brought the car to the dealership for an oil change which happened to lose all steering function while in their possession. The dealership explained that the car was a ticking time bomb and that I should be grateful that the steering didn't go out while I was on the road. I was blown away because they never informed me that I would lose all steering in the original diagnosis 6 months earlier. I contacted Ford consumer affairs and they just filed it away and don't want to acknowledge the issue due to the potential liability it can face for selling cars with faulty steering that are likely to fail on the road. Ford's power steering issues are well-known, but the associated catastrophic steering failure is not. Basically, if you drive a Ford product and the power steering goes out, you are driving a death trap.
So the car has a actuator control system stuck open. I have had it at the Ford dealership twice now and will be going back on Monday again for the same issue. When it starts up it runs at the 1 rpm then it goes down from there, not letting the car getting any fuel or speed for it to go forward or backwards. I have cleared the codes and works for a few days but then it does it again. This last time the code wouldn't clear off so I was stuck on the side of the road to have it towed to the Ford dealership. The code on it is p2111. Just very frustrating knowing that I cant really on my car to get where I need to be. The first time I was in my driveway fixing to go to work when it happened and couldn't get out of my driveway. The second time happened again in my driveway but took it to autozone to clear the codes. And the third time I was driving home from work last night on 01/06/2018 when it stopped my car on the highway in the middle of the night. Just doesn't get any power to the car. My copy of the invoice is in my car which is at the billingsley Ford dealership now.
Driving the vehicle in a straight line under dry conditions at about a constant 30 mph, the car started pulsing the front corner brakes. At the same time, the vehicles traction control light was coming on and off. I was not applying the brakes at the time. It seems as though the car's traction control system thought my tires were spinning, but that was not the case. I stopped and inspected my front wheel and found no issues with the tire or its alignment or fender clearance. After restarting the car, the problem stopped. I'm concerned that if this problem persists the car could inadvertently brake itself in heavy traffic and cause an accident.

When car started and I put it in gear it started going but steering wheel would not turn( it was not in locked mode. )it flashed check trac system -chech engine cut car off then back on it was ok. Later I tried to crank it , it wouldnt start read where if you got out locked with key waited till lights went off unlocked it with key it would crank did this and it cranked took it to Ford place put it on computer said was a problem didnt know what would have to check every wire in car could cost up in the $3000 or more. Still doing the dance to crank car. Works most of the time sometimes have to do it twice. The steering has done the not working thing like 3 more times just hope the steering wheel does not lock up while I"m driving I have done everything they suggested on line but it hasnt fixed the problem there are a lot of cars that are doing the not starting seems to be the security system causing the problem like tho the Ford place knows nothing about the problem. Suggested I get rid of the car which I cant afford to do.
The vehicle has under 7,500 miles and a service advancetrac warning just came up on my commute to work this morning. Was driving on a nice road in downtown riverside and had no impact or other events prior to the light turning on. The vehicle's braking is not apparently inhibited. Ford states that this is out of warranty.
Electrical system problem. There does not seem to be a trigger in regard to rain, hot, or cold weather conditions or how it is being driven. I have had a Ford dealership work on this to no avail. I will start with the safety aspect that is affected. It will do all of these things at once and then slowly come back online, sometimes the errors do not correct themselves. 1. No brake lights 2. No rear turn signal 3. No heat/air (it will turn on and off) - which is bad in inclement weather for old people 4. Brake light, traction control light, tire pressure monitor, service engine, all have errors. 5. Radio will turn on and off. It will cycle through these things failing, they may fail multiple times per minute or just stay in fail mode, or they may just correct themselves. This started to happen infrequently and slowly stepped up to very frequently. I will attach a link to a youtube video that will show my car. . Read more...
Loss of power to the engine while driving. When this happens, the service wrench and check engine light comes on. Also, a sort of shuddering noise comes from the engine. When this occurs, I can not accelerate. The car pretty much goes limp and I have to pull over and restart my car. It could be from an electronic throttle body failure. This has happened five times.
I was driving my 2016 Mustang gt base model down a straight road with the traction control "on" and the car randomly locked all of the wheels and turned sideways into oncoming traffic and only stopping when I hit a curb. While sliding there was no throttle or brake control because the traction system locked all four wheels. I went to the Ford dealer previous to this instance to complain that the front suspension was noisy and the vehicle was hard to control on certain road surfaces and it felt very unsafe. After giving them this information they scheduled me for an appointment a week later and let me drive off. Subsequent to say, the vehicle totally lost control 3 days before the appointment. Road surface was dry, it was sunny 94 degrees and I was traveling at 40mph on a straight road and my vehicle has 26k miles. The noise and control issue was miniscule but existent on the vehicle at 14k miles and only kept getting worse. I notified the dealer of the possibility of a safety issue because of the circumstances and they were very defensive and more concerned about charging me for the damages that resulted from the vehicle malfunction. I requested that the computer logs be preserved and sent to Ford as it may be a safety issue and I was told that they would charge me extra for that and that it would be quite expensive as to discourage me from reporting it. I retained a printout of my initial complaint that was documented at the dealer upon my initial visit. Vehicle is currently under factory warranty and is being diagnosed for the front suspension noise issue.
At startup, while leaving the neighborhood a dry clear day (no rapid acceleration) , experiences a loss of power. Traction control light comes on. When brakes applied, grinding sound occurs then normal driving resumes and light turns off. First occurred 2 years ago. Since brakes rotors changed, still occurs, much more often now, on date indicated, happened 3 times within 1/4 mile, less than 1 mile total drive.
While driving in forward and backing up vehicle complete loss of electric power steering. Including warning cel for service advanctrac, hill assist n/a and traction control. This has occurred on multiple occasions and has been take to dealership multiple times. The loss of power steering is extremely dangerous and almost impossible to control vehicle. 3 times on city streets while turning and 4 times on driveway.

Takata recall I been dealing with a electrical problem with my car and its brand new. Every time I get in the car and turn it on and drive for about 5 minutes my music turns off and shows the horse symbol displayed on the screen and it comes back on 10 minutes later. But then sometimes it does that and then the display screen turns black and I can't turn on the radio or anything. And that last for a few hours or so. . It's really getting annoying and something needs to be done.
Driving he car at about 40mph mostly in traffic I lost completely the throttle and I can't accelerate and show the wrench light in the cluster. I have to completely stop put the car in park turn off and wait a few minutes and the car will work again for a few hours some time days with out problem but this happen with out any warning. When I get the car to the repair shop I found the dtc p2111. I did a pcm reprogram with the latest calibration files from the motorcraft service web site. But I still have the problem, y wondering that some day I will cause a accident to me and some body else. I hope somebody take consideration of this problem in my car and a lot more that I was reading in the Ford forum. As I know I'm not the only one with this kind of problem in Ford vehicles. Thank you very much.
