Electric seat won't move. Have read countless others having same problem online. The issue is a factory defect. Magnets inside electric motor of power seats are put in place with glue that comes undone easily inside motor causing it to be unable to move. Dealerships and shops cost to replace is insane, never below $1000. This is a huge safety concern as I moved my seat far back while relaxing before work and when I got off later the seat would not move. Ford should be responsible for replacing these defective parts immediately.

At approximately 57,000 miles the left (drivers) power seat suddenly stopped working. It will not move forward or back but is locked in it's current position. Convinced this should be considered a safety issue, I took it to my local Ford dealer for the service work. They advised since the vehicle is out of warranty that this repair would not be covered. The motor that has go bad can only be obtained by buying the entire seat assembly at close to $1000 which I can't afford.

Inability to shift into gears while merging into traffic or while turning left across oncoming traffic both driver and passenger power seats will not move forward or back.
Contact stated that there was a small amount of brake fluid that was leaking from the cap on the master cylinder. The service dealer replaced the cap on the master cylinder to remedy the problem. This did not stop the brake fluid from leaking. The concern was that the brake fluid was leaking onto the structure of the vehicle. Over time, this may cause excessive corrosion on the structure of the vehicle. The service advisor stated that this was normal for this model. Another complaint the contact stated t was that he power driven seat made a creaking noise. The dealer would adjust the seat to keep it from creaking. The concern was that if he has to adjust the seat while driving it may cause the contact to become distracted and could result in an accident.

While driving down road I went to adjust drivers seat up, heard clicking sound and seat would not go up. Stopped for red light and felt seat move in a slight rocking motion. When arrived at destination looked under seat and found a white plastic piece (broken) and a white ring that resembles a washer. I went to the nearest Ford dealership and requested service. Mechanic looked at car and looked up piece on computer. Can not replace just the broken piece the whole railing of seat has to be replaced at a quoted price of part at 62. 10 an hr. Labor. I have 44,000 miles on car so is not covered under warranty. Due to this failure I feel this could be a real safety hazard due to when applying brakes you can feel slight rocking motion of seat at times when applying brakes at red lights normally feel that if I had to stop suddenly it could be a bigger problem. I feel for this car to be less than 2 years old with normal usage of seat controls that it should not have broken so easily. I have also had problems with drivers side window not rolling back up and squeaking while going down. Mechanics at same dealership looked at this problem and window did not hang down on them they did lubricate window which stopped squeaking for approximately 1 week continues to be a problem. When the consumer forks out 20. 000. 00 dollars for a vehicle you expect better quality and service than I have received.

While driving, the drivers seat began to move forward. I don't know if it did it automatically or if it was bumped. However, the button to move the seat is in front of the seat and it sticks out which did make it easy to bump against accidentally with your legs while shifting gears and driving.
While the consumer sat in the drivers seat the drivers chest somehow hit the automatic seat adjustment button and caused the driver to become pinned between the steering column and the drivers seat.

While driving and when stepping on brakes power seat will automatically release itself. Power seat will either go forward or backward, and lock itself in that position. This problem happens intermittently. Contacted dealer and can't find problem.
