As I drive my car over bumps (speed bumps, going up or down in parking garage) the car grunts or squeaks. I bought it brand new on March first of 2014, and I noticed the problem not too long after buying it; I assumed it was normal because my previous 2007 Mustang had the same issue. I told some friends who suggest I take it to Ford. When I was describing what the problem the service tech new exactly what it was. They had a recall for 2011 to 2013 Mustangs for what appears to be the same issue. They repaired the lower arm controls in the front. The issue is now gone. It sounds like the recall should be extended to 2014 models. I have a 2014 Ford Mustang 3. 7l v6 with the performance package. The following excerpt is what I believe to be is the same problem addressed in a previous recall. Ford TSB article # 12-8-24 issue some 2011-2013 Mustangs may exhibit a grunt/creak/chirp/squeak noise from the front lower control arm hydro bushing. These noises may occur over large vertical bumps like speed bumps, pot holes, rough roads, and driveway approaches.
8 failures on front lower control arms. Begins as a sqeaking/groaning from the front end. To this point, has progressed to a wander in the steering, excessive tire wear and jerky steering.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds going over speed bumps, the vehicle would make a loud noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the left front lower control arm assembly needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 33,000. Updated 08/11/014.

When traveling over large bumps in the road surface, the vehicle would emit an audible squeaking/groaning noise from the front end. It took multiple visits to the dealer in order for them to even acknowledge that the problem was even there. I was finally informed that there was a TSB for this issue and they replaced both lower control arms. On w/e March 23, 2013 this problem began to reemerge but the dealer has once again denied the existence of such noise. I have been told that I must wait for the problem to worsen before they do anything further.
Ball joints and control arms are failing due to faulty cheap parts these parts should be recalled before someone gets hurt look at some Mustang forums it's very widespread failing as early as 7800 miles on models made from 2005 to 2009.
While slowly driving around some pot-holes on a uneven pavement in a det. Mi. Area , I felt and heard some loud squealing from under the front of the car. Seconds later I noticed the manual gear shifts were very stiff and had use more effort to make manual shifts. Days later, I took the car to my local Ford dealer for my 5000 mi oil change and inspection. After ordering parts, I took the car back and both lower control arms and bushing were changed. I am not sure if the mechanic also worked on the gearbox or not. For about a week the gear shifts were very smooth, but they vary now , from smooth to stiff.
The 2006 Ford Mustang v6 coupe seats pose a dangerous threat not only for the way they are bolted into the car's frame and rust away but the fact the sides of the seat cloth rips away, exposing the internal stuffing. As stuffing falls out, the seat's solid structure is left, which will cause a severe back injury if in a car accident. The 2006 Ford Mustang v6 coupe manuel transmission synchronizer poses a problem because the second gear no longer functions, posing a severe threat in switching gears and causing an accident. The suspension continuously causes the ball joints and control arm to damage yearly. The threat of a ball joint going out can cause a tire to detach and cause a serious wreck.

Noise from the front end, a loud noise and the car dropped on the right side, the control arm broke at the weld. I had the car fixed the dealer got the car after and changed a few more parts that went bad. Ford refuses to pay for the body damage done by the defective part. I still have the control arm in my office for viewing.
The contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. While driving 35 mph, the contact heard a loud clunking noise. The front passenger side of the vehicle dropped. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic who stated that the control arm was bent and the inner wheel well and fender were damaged. The mechanic stated that improper welding of the control arm to the bushing caused the failure. The current mileage is 6,700 and failure mileage was 6,500.
Second time for control arms needing replaced. In less than 4,000 had rear control replaced and now 4,000 miles later needs replaced again. Heard a screeching noise in rear of car and garage couldn't hear the problem twice before so its noticable now. They ordered the new parts for Monday 25 to be replaced.
