2016 Ford Mustang v6 convertible with 75,000 miles. I went into the gas station for 3 minutes, came out and car would crank but not turn over. Car needed to be towed to auto mechanic. Turns out the fuel pump was garbage. The car is only 4 years old. Ridiculous. Also, around 40,000 miles, it started to sound like I was driving a covered wagon, as every bump in the road made the car sound as if it was going to fall apart. The mechanic tells me 3 of the 4 control arms (suspension) are completely shot. Again, ridiculous. Junk car. I've had dozens of cars and many with well over 120,000 miles and never once have I dealt with a fuel pump nor control arms. Again, the car is only 4 years old. All parts for these 2 fixes have been on back order for a month. I must not be the only one dealing with these 2 issues. This needs to be a recall!.

In December 2018 my car began to make crunching, squeaking and chirping sounds coming from the front suspension when driving slowly over uneven surfaces, small cracks in road, going slowly over speed bumps or up driveway ramps. There is also a noticeable shimmy in the steering wheel at over 30 mph. In January, my Ford service advisor told me I need to replace both front control arm assemblies for approx $1,700 which comes as a huge shock to me considering my car has only 14,000 miles on it!!! I went home to do some research found a TSB for the replacement of the front lower control arms with a re-designed control arm with upgraded ball point shaft and hydro-bushing. TSB# 09-24-16 link: https://latemodel. Cachefly. Net/downloads/tsb05-14/tsb09-24-16. Pdf there are literally thousands of complaints on websites and blogs across the internet written by other Mustang owners who have faced the same problem and had to find less costly and possibly dangerous aftermarket solutions. Apparently Ford has known about this defect since 12/2009, has engineered upgraded replacement parts and yet has not moved to proactively replace these dangerous suspension/steering parts since then. Apparently, they are waiting until a customer comes in with a complaint to notify them! a driver could reasonably think this offending sound is just a natural squeak on an aging car and choose to ignore it until the thin original ball joint shaft gives way causing an accident or even a fatality. I've already spoken with Ford customer service supervisors and the Ford dealer who both say there's nothing they can do about having Ford fix this without putting the full cost and burden on the customer. This is a terrific opportunity for NHTSA to compel Ford to get these dangerous parts off the many cars still operating with these admittedly substandard parts. Thank you.

I was driving my 2016 Mustang gt base model down a straight road with the traction control "on" and the car randomly locked all of the wheels and turned sideways into oncoming traffic and only stopping when I hit a curb. While sliding there was no throttle or brake control because the traction system locked all four wheels. I went to the Ford dealer previous to this instance to complain that the front suspension was noisy and the vehicle was hard to control on certain road surfaces and it felt very unsafe. After giving them this information they scheduled me for an appointment a week later and let me drive off. Subsequent to say, the vehicle totally lost control 3 days before the appointment. Road surface was dry, it was sunny 94 degrees and I was traveling at 40mph on a straight road and my vehicle has 26k miles. The noise and control issue was miniscule but existent on the vehicle at 14k miles and only kept getting worse. I notified the dealer of the possibility of a safety issue because of the circumstances and they were very defensive and more concerned about charging me for the damages that resulted from the vehicle malfunction. I requested that the computer logs be preserved and sent to Ford as it may be a safety issue and I was told that they would charge me extra for that and that it would be quite expensive as to discourage me from reporting it. I retained a printout of my initial complaint that was documented at the dealer upon my initial visit. Vehicle is currently under factory warranty and is being diagnosed for the front suspension noise issue.

Very audible thumping noise in suspension, either front or back (not sure), at slow speed, just pulling out of the driveway, or parking, driving and going over minor bumps on the street. Vehicle is babied, only has 24,000 miles, original owner. Live in the se part of the country. Is there a recall for this problem?.
While driving over rough or uneven pavement, a very audible rattle can be heard coming from the front end of the vehicle, most noticeably with the steering centered. The car also has some unstable characteristics, tending to pull much more strongly towards any lines or crowns than normal. Vehicle was taken to local dealer, where they were able to isolate the noise to the front left corner of the car with "chassis ears", but could not determine the source of the noise. All front end components were replaced, however the problem persisted. Ford engineers were contacted, and reported back that the noise was normal and the car was returned unrepaired. Lower control arms on both sides were replaced under TSB 13-9-3. Service description reads: "front suspension tech xxxx verified customer concern and found the there (sic) is a noise found in left front when on a gravel road. Used chassis ear and found left front hydro bushing to make noise. Replaced left front lower control arm per TSB 13-9-3 op code 130903a. Also found left outer tie rod bolt stretched. Replaced left front tie rod and performed 2 wheel alignment. Noise is still present. Checked with hotline, noise is characteristic. Drove another like car and found noise is characteristic. " the problem has continued to become worse, and Ford customer service has become involved. Returned to local dealer, said there's nothing they can do, and that the noise and instability is normal. No other dealer within 100 miles will look at the vehicle, and the problem has since gone unrepaired.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that there was a progressing failure with the front left tire wobbling and the suspension was unstable each time the vehicle went over unleveled land. The contact heard a loud noise coming from the front left side of the vehicle near the front left tire. The vehicle was taken to more than two dealers. One of the dealers was not able to replicate and diagnose the failure. The contact received several repairs from more than one dealer who replaced the nuts and bolts and the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back a third time to replace the lower control arm and fourth time to the dealer who replaced the nuts and bolts and then the lower control arm again. The component fractured a fifth time and the dealer and the manufacturer provided no remedy. The electronic stability traction control warning light illuminated each time the contact went over unleveled land and the failure was progressing pertaining to the noise heard and the front left side of the vehicle. The contact also experienced the vehicle idling high while at a stop. The vehicle was taken to one dealer who was not able to replciate and diagnose the failure. A second dealer diagnosed that the low speed fuze was blown on the fan and the high speed being activated because of the failure was causing the condition. The dealer replaced the fuze for the low speed on the fan control. The contact was still unable to get the manufacturer and the dealer to repair the suspension failure. The approximate failure mileage was 500. Dyd.

Our 2012 Ford Mustang is under full warranty. When driving about 5 mph in parking lots going over speed bumps we noticed there is a creaking/squeaking noise coming from the front suspension. We took our car to the dealer we bought it from which was north park Lincoln and they cannot diagnose or find the issue. The first time we took it the mechanics said they could not diagnose the issue and they lubed the front suspension. Well the noise was still there and we took the car back to the dealer and they have yet to find an issue with the suspension. When we bought the Mustang the exact same noise occurred in the rear and the dealer replaced the bushings and links and the noise went away. We are trying to tell the dealer it's the bushing, links, and sway bar but they refuse to do anything. We are going back to the dealer to see if we can get them to replace the components of the bushing and links.

# 1 steering/suspension noise in the front of the car (bushing - cr3z-3078-c and cr3z-3079-c arm asy). # 2 fsa 12e06 powertrain control module. # 3 check fuel fill inlet.
Fyi I can not include the top/roof due to it wont allow me to input the check mark) I baught this Mustang in June 2012,used from Ford here in sioux falls sd, since that time I have asked about the top about the clunking and if they would notify me if any recalls. They only sent one for the passenger air bag , until this week when I received a second notice for the takata air bags from the day I took her off the lot. I wanted to know why my front end suspension is making a clunking sound in front and it's been there since the first day, I even had her looked at to make sure she wasn't damaged, within minutes they came back and said she's fine no problems and why my transmission does not want to shift to higher gears from 1st thru overdrive, she bogs down like there isnt any fuel getting to her engine and she doesn't shift through the gears properly, if I had recieved the recalls it would of been in immediately. My top leaks water when washed so it can cause damage on the inside especially the door electrical systems, yet Ford refused to have the top redone since they feel it's just normal wear yet its happened since the first time I had to wash her. I'm starting to think think Ford has taken advantage of me in this case as I still can not get any updated information on my car and if I can either get the work done or the vehicle replaced, mind you I still owe on her and to be honest I do not want a trade in , I'd rather Ford fix these issues and write off the remaining debt due to negligence for not advising me of these recalls in a timely manner and for bit fixing the issues when the recalls came out . It's quite frustrating to know I've paid over 20000 for a car that they are willfully neglecting to fix and yet I'm to be liable for the debt no matter the possiblity that they are negligent and dismissive of my claims.
Upper retaining nut came off right rear suspension trailing arm causing poor handling and a clicking noise over bumps and during parking lot maneuvers. A hole formed on the left rear brake line from rubbing against the body of the vehicle.

At this point, there is no safety problem. But the symptom suggests the possibility. The symptom is a bird-like squeak in the right front suspension whenever the car encounters a slight upward bump. The dealer checked out the car and found nothing awry. Based on my own analysis I sprayed wd-40 into the tie rod and roll bar bushings and realized a short-term benefit (noise gone). But the noise is now back, and I fear that the cause is significant. I'll try again with more robust lubricants, but I still have a concern for the root cause.
-the contact stated that the 2006 Ford Mustang gt had suspension problems. Each time he hit a series of pot holes in the road the vehicle made a loud thumping sound on the right front side of the vehicle. Also, the steering had more play, and sometimes it felt as if he was over steering. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealership, and they replaced the right front strut assembly. The contact filed a complaint with the manufacturer, and was waiting for their response. The contact stated that vehicle's current mileage was 8,000 miles. The failure mileage was 8 miles.
Consumer purchased vehicle "new" from dealership with 16 miles on the odometer. Approximately 6 months after purchase the consumer began hearing a "squealing" noise coming from rear suspension while driving. The dealer diagnosed that vehicle had been in a frontal and rear collision prior to sale as new. Consumer took vehicle to different body shops and confirmed diagnosis. The dealer admitted that vehicle had been in an accident prior to sale as new, but advised consumer it is manufacturer's problem. Consumer contacted manufacturer who advised it's a dealer issue.
