Two problems related to front seat power adjust have been reported for the 1996 Ford Ranger. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was hit from the rear at a stop light and seatback automatically reclined, falling back upon impact. Defect caused consumer to go through back of windshield. Consumer sustaned head injuries.
Smoke came from the drivers side electric seat while adjusting, also seat is not able to go forward as far as it should.
