One problem related to carrier/rack has been reported for the 1997 Ford Ranger. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Carrier that holds spare tire rubs aganist tire whenever vehicle moves up and down which leads to tire wearing out. Tire has never been used before. Contacted dealer and the dealer is not willing to do anything.
