Two problems related to wheel bolts have been reported for the 1999 Ford Ranger. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving 55 mph the driver heard a bumping noise coming from the front passenger side. The consumer proceeded to pull off the highway when the passenger front tire fell off the vehicle. The driver was able to pull off to the emergency lane. The vehicle was towed to a firestone dealer.
Consumer stated while traveling 40 mph and without any indication right front wheel fell off with lug:nuts in place.
