The contact owns a 2005 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that the tie rod was wearing. He also heard a loud clanging noise while driving various speeds. The dealer lubricated the tie rod, but the failure continued. The noise has gotten worse and Ford refuses to assist. The failure mileage was 6,000 and current mileage was 7,200.

2 Steering Tie Rod Assembly problem

Failure Date: 03/20/2006

: the contact stated while driving at various speeds, there was a clunking noise coming from the front suspension. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership for inspection. The dealer replaced the tie rod assembly and upper control arm bushings however, the problem persisted.
